I, for one, am heading out to catch today's annual solar eclipse. I got fogged in for the last one visible in my area some 20 years ago or more. Getting in the car, driving an hour or so for a full ring, and taking precautions with my eyes. Might even get out on the golf course to play during it for a merging of interests and a strongly reinforced memory.
Enjoy nature's display of goodness!

Well, this didn't seem to strike any chords for anyone, but I enjoyed it tremendously. I played a round of golf during the eclipse, ending just as max coverage ended. Someone had a solar telescope set up (glorified pinhole camera). The light quality and shadows definitely were odd. Light coming through trees cast odd crescent shadows and light patterns. The sunlight itself had a reddish cast. It was somewhat similar to being under the haze from a distant wildfire.
