Hover car by VW
That will be a nail in the coffin of everything that burns petrol and has wheels.

Liberty's Edge

We would have had these cars everywhere 50 years ago, but we got quantum mechanics instead.

This is the part where we start laughing.

And we don't stop.

Okay having watched it, I'm torn. If it's real, that is the most awesome thing ever. However it looks suspiciously CGI.

Nice special effects. Since they don't actually have a car yet I think I will stick with what fossil fuel burning death traps are currently out there.

Wake me when they have something non fiction.

I only ever got a repelling force from a magnetic field by creating a 2-3 picoFarad cyclic fluctuation at about 8 Hz. Caused the skin to physically depress by a millimeter. Must try and duplicate it one of these days.

It is a CGI video, and the 'electric' car has been in process for over 30 (that I can account for, anyway) years. I'm not a conspiracy person, but the only point auto manufacturers bothered to begin design and mfg. of them, is when it would have been a blatantly obvious disregard of governmental action. There's always been rumors of 'big oil' and 'big auto' squashing the advent of an alternative vehicle, but that's all they are. It's more likely that they bought up patents and then sat on them.

Isn't that basically the same thing, though?
