It seems that for CD at least, the subscription for 12 levels will be essentially its own campaign? Is this correct?
It sounds like it can be run independently to RA.
What level bracket should we expect players will start and end going through CD?

As for Freya & Abysthor, patience my man. It is in the works :)
Tomb of Abysthor is the single best 3.0/3.5/PF adventure made by any company. The fact that Frog God is going to Pathfinderize this is fantastic news. Including Crucible is the cake's icing. I've been Golarionizing a ToA campaign for nearly a year. Can't wait for the new version. Bring on the Justicars!

Same here, though the party is about to go to the Valley of the Shrines in a couple sessions. ToA rocks.

I know I have probably said it before, but the HL files totally RAWK! I have been using the heck out of them. I haven't started running RA yet, but they have helped me a ton as I prep TA. I am incredibly thankful FGG went the extra yard with the digital goodies.

Yes seperate from RA but can be fit into a campaign. The CD series of adventures forms a mini-campaign in the depths of the earth, suitable for a party of 4+ characters with an average level of 10-12, or 8+ characters with an average level around 7.

Rachel, any general time frame on when the next installment of the d20Pro maps will be out? My gaming group totally loves them. They are head and shoulders above the ones that I was doing, especially with how you used regions on them to give more realistic FoW as they get revealed. I was just shading/unshading squares as the PCs entered the room. Your technique is unarguably SOOOOOO much better.
Thanks again for your hard work; it is appreciated!

I am almost done with Level 9 (it's long) but Razor Coast keeps getting me side tracked. I will try to get it done sooner than later and then start the last 5 levels.

I was a backer on Obsidian Apocalypse, I am a backer on Razor Coast. I have ideas for combining them for a Halloween themed furry convention in October I attend every year. This is going to be fun.

I read dozens of reviews and visited many forums on PF Rappan Athuk and believe I have a grasp of the setting but I was wondering if any DM could confirm something for me. I heard that the PF version does not come with all the creatures powers/abilities that are in the adventure. I was told to be able to run them correctly you need to buy their ToH.
Is this true?

If the creature is in an already published source (Paizo's Bestiary series, or the Tome of Horrors Complete)we did not include full stats for it. That would have pushed the page count to astronomical levels, and really isn't needed (although I understand its no the most convenient).
Might I suggest our good friend John Reyst's website d20pfsrd

What Skeeter said. You don't HAVE to buy Tome of Horrors complete as you can use www.d20pfsrd.com as a resource for the OGL content.

That is correct. I have found quite a few of the TOH monsters on this site already although it helps to have TOH for extra crunchiness!!
I do have to say though the Undead Ooze needs some work. The pathfinder version is too much of a pushover. I sent 2 of them against a fairly low level party and they shredded them with ease. They really need reworked to be CR6s.

Coming into the conversation late here but could I get the lowdown on the D20pro version of the Rappan Athuk maps?
1) Are they improved maps? If so, what kind of improvements?
2) Will they be available to non-D20pro users (presumably for a cost)?
Ultimately, I use a different VTT (Roll20) and would like to run RA on it. But the map quality in the pdfs are a major hindrance.
Thanks in advance

Any fans who have used the maps, please feel free to jump in here too. But for a quick answer:
1) Yes improved. I used hi-res maps where I could. I added the encounters (complete with tokens), GM markers, secret doors, etc. Fog of War is built into every map as well.2) They are available now on D20Pro for sale. To date, the maps are not available for other systems such as Roll20, etc.

+1. Plus there's the chance of a golden ticket (I.e. if the signed card inside the box looks custom made contact FGG)

To add to what Gauss is saying, I would also love to see the maps available in other formats. I use Roll20 as well -- and I'm never going back to stand-alone installing VTT software, let alone ones that cost money to use the base program! I wouldn't require the Fog of War, Tokens, etc, I can do that myself... I just need the maps themselves.

A quick follow up on this, Bill.
I don't have a subscription to the CD levels via the Kickstarter (as I understand it, no one does; that one must be bought separately), but I did get copies of CD 1 & 2. So buying the subscription now won't result in any overlap (e.g. I won't be paying for CD 1 & 2 again)?
Also, just to be sure, it's not too late to sign up for the CD subscription and get in on the proverbial ground floor, is it (in other words, having waited this long doesn't mean I've missed anything, does it)?
EDIT: Well, I guess I'll find out! I just signed up for two years!

Alice/Guass/ etc.
Short answer is no, there will not be new maps for Rappan Athuk. They are done and finished, before we were really supporting digital play.
We will possibly look into doing it in the future, as that part of the hobby continues to grow. We're doing our best, but have just this year (and end of last year) gotten into the digital end.
Bear with us, and we'll see what we can do. You guys on the cutting edge of playing with all the digital advancements are quite a ways ahead of us, so it'll be a while before we catch up.
Skeeter

Gauss |

Well Skeeter, if you guys ever redo your maps in color and nice quality I would happily purchase them. All we need are JPGs or PDFs of them. No fancy formats, no fog of war or anything like that. Just some good quality map images, preferably with the GM information (such as traps) separate. But even that I can fix in an art editor. :D

I've started making my own fancy colour maps of the area in Photoshop. So far I have the "Wilderness" map, the area directly around Zelkor's Ferry, and the Zelkor's Ferry map itself done (plus a random encounter wilderness map). If it's kosher to the Frog Gods, I'd be happy to post them here for anyone to make use of.

Cool. For those of us who have purchased the subscription to CD (I purchased the 2-year subscription [the $99.99 for "12 new levels"] a little while back), if part 3 is coming out this month, when can I expect to get parts 1 and 2?
(I also purchased the RA new levels subscription [the $59.99 for 6 new levels] a little while ago, and was pleased to see the first one in my downloads when I checked on a lark yesterday.)

Arnwyn, they should already be there. When I logged in after purchasing a two-year CD subscription a few days ago, parts one and two were already available to download.

Oh, crap. They're not.

However I have CD 1 and 2 via the RA Kickstarter so maybe that is why? Blonde Frog is away until the 10th according a post on the Razor Coast KS so best wait until after that for an answer
I also got CD 1 & 2 via the Kickstarter, but I still have them available for download (or at least I did Sunday, I haven't checked since).
For what it's worth, nothing seems different between the versions of CD 1 and 2 that are there now, and the files from the Kickstarter, save for the newer files having a different cover.
