Maybe the stink comes from the goblin and not the LDR...

I hear it lasts until midnight, though I haven't stayed that late. And yep, totally kosher (and often helpful) to bring your own games!

[Weeps at the heartlessness of Madame Sissyl]

That changes a lot of my plans then. I was thinking that I wouldn't be able to get there until it was wrapping up. Hmmm...I can't go this time but I may be able to get there next time then.

...aaand, off-topic.

Off to a diverting liaison! Hooray for Alaska. For whatever reason, LOTS more guys interested here in the Frozen North than were in either CA or FL.

Wish me well (or grind your teeth in envy? Though well-wishes are certainly preferred).

Good look Cheeseweasel in the Deep Darkness of the Evercold... Sounds quite good for an evil overlord's fortress.

I like the Pathfinder tie in!

Hey folks; head out to Hope, AK, tomorrow. My internet access is likely to be weekends-only for a while, so I'll be here spottily, at best. Thanks for all the good wishes. See you all around!

The Exchange

Nice. Live the dream.

*sigh* Friend's birthday party is tonight. No women that would spark my interest will be there, as far as I know, however...

Spoiler:
Um, wow... I just spent some time with my bf, and now my knees are weak. ^-^

Now it doesn't matter whether or not you think he's good enough for me! ;p

Also, this is my first post in several days, so it's doubly special!

If your knees are weak, you're doing it right. Or he is. Either way you're happy.

Today is the day!
Today, the french parliament votes the gay marriage!
At last!
We've been through a lot these last weeks,a lot of manifestations, some gay-bashing(gay aggressions have been multiplied by 3 those last 6 months), even some death menace letters.
Yes, we've been through a lot those last weeks...
But today is the day!

HUZZAH to the vote! A THOUSAND CURSES to those who would harm someone for their sexual desires!

Still 1 hour to wait!

Sovereign Court

HUZZAH for France for showing that they are not as close minded as Americans... Well American Politicians

Liberty's Edge

Awesome stuff, France. :)

Our (Australia's) neighbours in New Zealand did the same just a few days ago. Great to see. Too bad Australia's leaders are too far in the pockets of the religious right to follow the will of their people.

In France, the law has been approved one hour ago. 331 deputies for the law, 225 against.

The vote opens the right to marriage and adoption for same-sex couples.

The first legal gay marriages are expected to take place around mid-june.

Just saw the news. Congratulations.

Now, if we could pull out Polish politicians out of the religious nuts ar**... *sigh*

Editor

What wonderful news, congratulations!

Wooooooooooooooooooooooooo!

Allez la France!

On y est!

Sorry,here we are!
We're the 9th european country and the 14th in the world to adopt gay marriage.
Today is the day!

I wish we could get that done nationally in the US but NO, we have to do it a state at a time.

We're getting there. Wish it was more hare than tortoise, but we're getting there. :)

feel pretty sad that my state will likely be among the last though

Also, I'm not guaranteeing a coming out story or anything in the future, but I am currently trying to process how I feel about Link after being introduced to Lindsey Sterling tonight.

I haven't felt so confused since the last time this happened.*

I think Lindsey Stirling--as well as all the other people who dress up as Link and play musical instruments amazingly--make everyone gay.

Well fine then. Because this feels so right.

And yep, that was the other one alright.

I'm a straight guy and watching that girl play the flute in that short dress made me even more straight! : )

The floodgates are open... this year Rhode Island (already has), Delaware and Minnesota will become the 10th, 11th and 12th states to recognize marriage equality, and a number of states are considering constitutional amendments to repeal their marriage-ban amendments from the last decade and a half.

The Exchange

I've been in the Puget Sound pennisula vicinity while this was happening but schedule and logistics prevented me from showing up. So frustrating. Like having a lottery ticket with all the numbers just one off from the winner. I'd love for a small conference room to do a shoutout of us T-gamers. Cosplay encouraged, wear your avatar proudly.
Espirit Gala in Port Angeles

Just another 45guy playing his alter ego. No creep factor involved.

edit: Just to be clear, this conference is NOT a gamer event but provide support and resources for those seeking to emulate or transition to the opposite gender.

Ah yes, The Tortoise and the Hare, the fable where we're taught that it's okay to cheat. ;)

Not cheat. It's creative competition...

I hate Lindsey Sterling. I hate any girl geek who is both cuter than me and better at me at playing the violin (mind, I have not played regularly in a long time, but for some reason the insane jealousy still kicks in). Except Felicia Day, because it's impossible to entirely hate Felicia Day. (The more rational part of me wishes to suggest the two of them should play a duet together.)

Not that these things are hard to achieve.

Jealousy hurts, jealousy baby...

I think I will pause to be really glad about all the great same sex marriage news instead.

You want the winning horse to go to sleep only to be overrun by the slower horse then?

You play the violin? That's awesome. I doubt your rival is cuter than you, however... eyebrow waggle

I don't know if Cheeseweasel is returning to Anchorage but I'll leave this thread link here. Another GM/Player moving UpNort.

Is there some migratory PF patterns I am not aware of?

Although it's not tabletop, Jason Collins just came out in the nba, a notoriously homophobic organization. He is getting support from many, including president Clinton, but there are closed minded folks who oppose.

Yes I saw that this morning, and as a coincidence we had a rapport in France that said that 40% of professional soccer players were Homophobics.

Looks like this topic is on the rise!
