An alchemist PC in my game would like to make something akin to a healing belt... but I can't stand the flavor of said item.
How much would this item cost:
The Decanter of Remidial Solution
-effect creates up to 3 cure moderate potions a day (2d8+4)
Requires Brew potion and Create Wonderous Item.
Cost:
Spell level (2 for an Alchemist) x Caster level (4 for an Alc) x 2000gp x 3/5 (for uses per day) ....
9600gp to buy
4800gp to make
Seems a little high in my opinion but maybe not, did I mess up the calculation?

I kind of liked the eternal wands from Magic item compendium. Using one of those as the base, a second level spell would cost 4500 gold for a twice/ day spell trigger item an alchemist would use or 6600 for 3x per day. That puts it a little lower priced that your suggestion, but spell trigger items are less expensive than equivalent wondrous items.

Well it is better than the Healing Belt or the want, as it creates potions, that can technically be stored and saved if not used this day. If you don't use the wand or belt, then those charges are just gone.
However you could flavor it akin to the other alchemist stuff, that the potions go bad after 1 day, in which case it really would be alot like that.

You should definitely do that. I gave one of my PCs a quiver that "grows" MWK Arrows (each of the pcs recieved a custom gift for saving a powerful druids life) Each arrow that is taken out regrows within 20 Minutes, but I made it so that it would wither and bend beyond usefulness 5 minutes after being plucked out, because of course he came up with the idea to harvest his quiver every 20 minutes on downtime days to make lots of money.
*edit: fixed embarrassing spelling mistake

One thing to keep in mind is that healing belts were massively undercoated for what they did. You might be fine using the 1,800 multiplier for command use activated rather then the 2,000 for continuous.
A CL4 potion of CMW is 400gp. Drinking 24 times from this decanter is your break even point. While the price per point of healing is higher then a wand of CLW, anyone can use it, and it has a better in combat use if needed. The price looks good to me overall.

The Alchemist may need to be level 4 in order to cast CMW, but that doesn't mean you necessarily use a caster level of 4 to price the item.
An item is only worth two times what the caster of the lowest possible level can make it for. Calculate the market price based on the lowest possible level caster, no matter who makes the item.and
Creating an [wondrous item] item costs half the market value listed.
So if we're considering this thing a use-activated item, it should be something like:
Spell level 2 x Caster level 3 x 2000gp x 3 uses per day(/5) =7200 gold market price
3600 crafting cost
That'll drop the caster level of the item itself by 1, so it'll heal one fewer hit point per use, but that seems worth it to save 1200 gold.
