So, if Absalom lists a base limit of 25,600gp, is that before or after the settlement modifiers and qualities?
Not that I will have to deal with said limit soon (or maybe ever), since I'm just getting started, but I like to know as much as possible before getting into things :)
Also, if you die in an encounter and can't afford the PP to resurrect, do you just have to start over from the beginning? Or can other players expend resources to resurrect you and you pay them back gold costs/etc. afterward? What if no one is willing/able to help you out then? What constitutes a "game over"?

If you die, you can either pony up the cash for a raise dead (which other players can contribute towards), or you expend the prestige for a raise dead (which they *cannot* contribute towards). If you are dead at the end of a scenario and unable to raise, then you are marked down as dead on the reporting sheet and that character is dead (you do get your name on a wall somewhere in the Grand Lodge, tho!). As for the base limits....I don't think that is used in PFS. All you need is the amount of cash to actually buy the thing, and have earned enough prestige to be allowed to buy it.

Oh ok, cool. I was wondering what the point of having fame high enough to purchase things over 100,000gp would be if base limit was so far under that.
As for dying, so, again forgive me I'm new... if you want to keep playing and are perma-dead, you need to make a new character and start from level 1 right? I've wondered how that works as far as if all that is available to play is something you've already played before?

Yes you start from level 1 again.
No - if you only have one character, then it shouldn't be a problem to find scenarios you haven't played yet. There are lots of different scenarios out there by now. There are also modules you can play. Even with 2 games a week you should be busy for a while if you start now.
Also - most players start a second character when you reach level 3. It is more likely not to find the right tier if you have more as 1 character. That makes the blow to start from scratch less severe.

You can earn a chronicle in two ways: once by playing the scenario, and once by GMing it. So, once you've played it, you cannot gain experience from it again, with any character (there are a few exceptions). As for once you are perma-dead with one character, you start another one at level 1 and play with that one. Or, if you want, you can have a whole stable of characters. I've personally got, oh 4-5 I've played several times.

Note: If it is a Tier 1 scenario (the First Step series) or a Tier 1-2 module (Master of the Fallen Fortress, Crypt of the Everflame) can be replayed, with a different PC each time, any number of times for credit (with the proviso that the Tier 1-2 modules can only be played for credit once by a level 2 PC, any number of times with level 1 PCs)
And there is currently an abundance of Tier 1-5 scenarios, so, as long as you discuss which scenarios you have already played with your local GM pool, it should be possible to keep playing new scenarios for credit for some time.

This is why I said some exceptions :P
