Sarenrae's Favored Colors?

This may be opening an odd can of worms, or I may even discover the answer is "none, deities in Golarion don't operate like that", but I was curious about a deity's favored/representative colors.

Specifically, Sarenrae's. What colors, when used together, are considered hers (if any)? Various web searches haven't turned up much for me on this, aside from two contradictory postings on random parts of the internet that I can no longer locate (one claimed light/sky blues, golds, and whites per Kyra the iconic Cleric, the other claimed whites, golds, and reds).

I'd love to know more about this, ideally with some official sourcing. Thank you for any help you can offer!

In all of the artwork of any cleric of Sarenrae I've ever seen, there are lots of yellows and kind of a sandy white color. Lots of light blue too. The iconic cleric I think is pretty representative.

Suddenly realized I bought Faiths of Purity a while back, took a look at it. It says whites, reds, and golds. Strange that it says that, when most art depicting Sarenrae or followers thereof uses blues of varying shades, golds, and whites as an accenting color just as you said.

This honestly only makes me more confused, thus.

We've not really published a list of favored colors or holy animals or the like for our deities, mostly because we had to cut off that trivia at some point in order to make our compiled tables and/or religious stat blocks not be TOO big.

That said... they do have favored colors and holy animals and all that.

Sarenrae's colors are blue and gold, symbolizing the glory of the sun in a cloudless sky. Whites (representing the clouds or light) and reds (representing fire and blood for her more martial aspects) are somewhat associated as well, although not as sacred.

Huh, interesting. That's some very useful info, and the worst thing I can say about it is "Ahhhgh! Now I have to repaint all this stuff!" Oh well. That gives me a weekend project for the next foreseeable while, I suppose. Thank you very much for chiming in!

You only really have to repaint stuff if you're doing things for Paizo publication... who's to say that in your version of Golarion Sarenrae's faith doesn't favor different colors?

Heh, it's alright. I enjoy real one true canon accuracy of canonness (tm) where possible. I really do appreciate your response, and this gives me something to do anyway. I'd been going with white/gold/red so far per Faiths of Purity's remarks.

Yet if Blue primary/Gold secondary with minor accenting use of white and/or red is more correct for people who are openly and boldly professing faith toward Sarenrae, then that's a decent project for me.

Fair enough! As long as you're willing to reroute and rewrite and revise your campaign whenever we decide on a lark to detail something we've not detailed before... go for it! :-)

I'm going to assume that even though a deity might have certain colors associated with them, the followers might have favorites of their own.
