Advanced Race Guide Playtest

Well, so far we've heard a lot of cons about those rules so far. I myself have a lot of those.
But I've seen few Pros.

What do you guys think is going in the right direction regarding those rules?

Dark Archive

Standard, Advanced and Monstrous races.

My group and I run a shared world we all have a say as to what is inside it, so having a good set of easy to understand rules to build races is very good. We can set limits as to what is used to build player races and use the rest for a humanoid based monster set of rules.

I love the separation of Standard, Advanced, and Monstrous races.

My favorite are half-undead and half-construct traits.
Also, *not* attempting to introduce Level Adjustment and ECL.

this will be the tool for people who want the own world. no longer will my world be full of a hodgepodge of races from other worlds.

if this works out

Yes, i definately agree with the separation of racial power levels.

Mainly because of that little table showing how it effects (for lack of a better term) level adjustment over time, and accepts that a few bonuses are less powerful as you gain class levels and the get eclipsed.

It makes me feel like i understand the impact of monstrous PCs better. And that i can worry a little less about including them (yay for half-silver dragon paladins!)
