I would love to play EotT and like the schedule, minus the last part. I won't be there on Sunday either. If we could do the last part Saturday morning, then I will use my other slots to GM. Thanks for setting this up!

4/5 *

I would also love to be at this table and I can make Sunday. I can totally judge Friday and Saturday to help out. Thanks for being on the ball for this one, Doug.

Hmm...Eyes of the Ten rolecall:

Painlord
Feral
AmazingRed
Bruce H.
Gil
DaveBarb
JP

Am I missing others?

We'll want to get a table that can make all the slots, of course.

We can move the last slot to SAT AM.

Assuming that works for all involved, we'll need to cut it off there (7 players) for the moment. Other folks can express interest, but i cannot guarantee another group until I have all of the other slots covered.

7 person tables in general are a bad idea. This will be even more true for top tier content.

If everyone that's mentioned ends up wanting to play I'll drop out to make it 6 again.

Up to you Nick, but that hardly seems fair since you got this party started in the first place. ;)

4/5 *

Yea, that doesn't seem quite right. Can you look into getting a second judge so we can do 2 tables instead? After getting everything else situated of course.

Liberty's Edge 5/5 **

Meh, it's my bullheadedness that's making it an issue. I'm not going to punt someone from a table to accommodate me.

That said, I wouldn't be opposed to one of the latecomers bowing out in my stead.

3/5

Is there any chance of a second table which would start on Friday or Saturday?

Liberty's Edge 1/5

Feral, if nobody else drops out, I will. No worries. There are plenty of other options for me to play. I agree with you, six players is plenty.

Let's start an alternates list. If we get our other slots covered, I'll be glad to add a second group.

Thanks Dave.

Doug I had our judging schedule done until part IV got moved. I need to talk to some people about what they want to judge instead.

Hi all, sorry to threadjack.

I'm new to PFS but an experienced GM. I would love to run an introductory scenario for PFs at Neoncon. who do I contact to do this?

Thanks so much,

Lavachild

The Exchange 5/5

I cannot commit to all four slots (I have to do other things on Friday and/or Saturday) as I have other things I have to do. So drop me from the list.

Doug,

If the need arises I would be willing to GM any ONE part of the Eyes of Ten Series, if you need me too. Since I have alreay played all four parts and gm'd the first and will be GMing the second soon.

You may get a request to run it here in Denver soon enough... ;)

I am good with that. Maybe in December.

I'd like to attend, but can't cut loose from work until Friday afternoon. If you know anyone who would like to come up from Arizona on Friday, I really need someone to share a carpool.

I look forward to it.

So my mental picture of that meeting runs something like this:

Pain: So we meet at last Mr. Brock
Michael Brock: So do you expect me to talk Painlord?
Pain: (laughs) No Mr. Brock I expect you to play!

(with all due apologies to Mr. Flemming)

Theocrat,

Lava Child (and friends),

if you are interested in GM-ing at NEONCON, shoot me an email (doug@neoncon.com) and I'll get you hooked up with our GM program, which includes discounts on rooms, food and other stuff.

Thanks,

Doug

What's the status of Eyes of the Ten?

So, I fly in at 8:30 PM on the second. Anyone up for drinks Wednesday night?

I really hope that some year soon I will not have a conflicting convention the same weekend as NEONCON :(
Or that I can get to the point where the conflicting convention is delegated to others.

Going off as planned, but not officially on the schedule yet.

Neil, the plan is to move the show to Columbus Day Weekend in 2012. ;)

Liberty's Edge 1/5

Painlord, my brother, I will be there on Thursday right at 2:00 PM for Eyes of the Ten. Don't despair, I will be there.

Aye aye!! I just yesterday confirmed my attendance as well. Things almost came up.

If you want to email me (address in my profile) your phone number (or I'll send you mine once I get your email address) so that we can communicate if one of us is going to be late or whatever, that would be dandy.

I'll get Feral's as well.

Is that the same as Jacques Cartier Day?

Kidding, actually Columbus Day = Thanksgiving. Pretty sure I can get a turkey dinner somewhere in Vegas :)

For sure. How much of a turkey dinner do you want?

It starts with just a standard restaurant order, up to a full Thanksgiving themed buffet, and at various locations and price points.

The year I had no food at home on THanksgiving when I lived in Chicago was a nightmare. The same thing now that I live in Vegas? No problem at all.

Callarek wrote:

Of course, it would have to be traditional Canadian Thanksgiving dinner: maple-infused turkey with mashed poutine on the side, preferably eaten while watching a hockey game.

That, of course, would take some research, but I wouldn't bet against it. Including the hockey game.

Sweet. Where are you playing? Ive judged the full series twice and love most of it.

Liberty's Edge 1/5

We will be in the club tower of the tropicana. In the large room across from the elevators most likely or close to this area. Have a safe trip!

This was an interesting Con. The highlight for me was the opportunity to hang out with so many good players. Neoncon seems to attract from out of state more than other Cons I've been to; so I got to see some new faces that are familiar here on the forums. I really liked that.

I was pretty disappointed with the organization. At last minute the scheduled games changed and were replaced with scenarios that I have already gotten credit for. Over all it was the people that lent to a good time. I'm not sure if the hassle of trying to find a game each slot, even though I was signed up, is worth the price.

The Exchange 5/5

Thanks Doug, great con. Attendance low, but quality players.

The problem is not the con's fault. The scenarios were late (and still not out I believe).

You know that you can always GM and allow 6 other people to play? :P

I did GM the first day actually. The other game I was signed up to GM was cancelled. I came to run the games I signed up for and to play; I can stay at home to run games on the fly.

I didn't know it was more than one scenario that was late to come out. I'm not trying to be offensive, just honest with the experience I had and as I said I still did have a good time.

Liberty's Edge 5/5

I had a great time. I got my second star this weekend and was able to play with great players and GM's from all over the country.

I thought the table I GM'ed for Blood Under Absalom would wipe for sure: 2 wizards, a sorcerer, and a fighter are not typically an ideal mix. However, they managed some ingenious solutions (summoned lantern archon to cast aid for example) and did great.

I also had a wonderful time running two games for new players to society. Between We Be Goblins and Intro Part 1, I handed out 7 PFS cards to brand new players who really had seemed to have a good time.

Thanks a lot Doug and thanks to everyone who GM'ed and helped out!
