Lack of female alchemist art

Why is every alchemist illustration male with Damiel is the iconic then the archype picture in ultimate magic was also male and the goblin pregen in we be goblins is also male. So where are the female alchemists?

There's a female Master Chymist in APG and a female Besatmorph in UC, AFAIR.

Hmm... I thought that the one in Ultimate Combat was the Ragechemist, not the Beastmorph. Her transformation seems more "HULK SMASH", what with the prerequisite glow-y green eyes, than becoming a beast.

Yes I am fairly sure that's the rage chemist. However it is disappointing to not see any non messed up hulled out and morphed female alchemists. It seems male alchemists like bombs and science and women like to be monsters... :p

Actually, the one in UC was a generic alchemist, it was just that time of the month...

If you're just looking for character portraits, I've found DeviantArt.COM is an excellent resource. Some extremely talented artists over there. Actually, I'd point Paizo over there when they are looking for art (or 3PP as well).

Note that I was pointing to things I thought would make good female alchemist character portraits first, and commenting on there being a bunch of good artists as a secondary comment.

Honestly, I could go look up about 2 or 3 hundred drawn art links off that site that would be perfect for PF books. In fact, if you look around for Female Monk, you'll notice several pictures from UC on the site.

Female Monk (Not from UC)

Elf Ranger

Human Ranger

Female Human Paladin

Female Wizard

And that's just 5 minutes of searching on simple terms.

I like Deviant art when looking for a character portrait. I even liked the photoshopped photos. When I am stumped on a character concept Deviant art is a frequent stop.

@MDT - thanks for sharing the Female monk. I like that as the inspiration for a female alchemist.

Dark Archive

Pathfinder Roleplaying Game Superscriber

I actually like photoshopped photos for stuff like that when i can find it.

No problem, happy to help. Honestly, I think one of my favorite pieces of art in the UC is this female monk. To me, she's sort of an 18yo Toph Bei Fong.

I love that one too.

I guess I'm hit or miss on that artist though since he did the half elf from the first preview and I don't like that one.

I don't mind the shooped photos at all.

But that "tiefling" with her creepy tenome-hand? She absolutely rocks my socks.

You know, I really hadn't considered Deviant Art for character portraits. Thanks to all for the links, many of which are amazing.

Are you implying that photography isn't art? Cuz, I, having no talent in photography but knowing a lot of people that do, can tell you that photography is an art, photo-shopped photography equally so.

I don't think that was the intent. I just glossed over it, although I admit it came off like that. I think he just was referring to the fact that I was commenting about Paizo going there to find artists for the books, and in that context, artist is one specializing in Drawing, not photography (photos wouldn't match the Paizo art style).

Yay for links.
