In our second session of HoH, my party nearly trounced any chance of trust in Ravengro. I wasn't planning on keeping track of Trust Points, but I don't think this is even on the charts anyway.
The party includes a half-orc Tian monk. I've ramped up the Ravengrans' superstitious and xenophobic attitudes, but this "green ugly freak" had thus far only been the target of rude comments.
I decided that some of the local kids would test his patience further, so I had them wait on the top of a covered bridge to throw rocks at the weirdo, and then run away.
Partly role-playing his cultural-outsider status, and partly wanting to try out his Throw Anything feat, the monk threw one back...and knocked one kid out, then had to go into the river to save him. After he patched him up with Heal, the kid tried to run away...so he grappled and "slapped him lightly" to try to calm him down.
Once released, the kid and his cronies ran crying to the Sheriff, and a posse was formed to bring the monk to justice. I let him get off, after much heated RP, when Father Grimburrow spoke up for him.
Meanwhile, when the CN alchemist got taken in for questioning, he used a thunderstone to stun a deputy and break out. This, too, has been officially smoothed over, but I can't imagine anyone in Ravengro is too happy about letting this anarchists stay in their town.
Any suggestions about how to play the town's response? I don't think either of these players were trying to be disruptive -- they're just finding their footing in an AP that doesn't give much opportunity for fighting in the early sessions.

You are being nice. If a half-orc starts throwing stones at little kids and another one knocks out a deputy...
They will have a chance to relatively redeem themselves at the game plays out, but they are SOL getting help from the town people at this point.
Which is fine, they don't need to be loved to get the job done. It's just easier that way.
