Been trying this new service...
1. Language. Cannot separate "share this" by language. I feel bad about posting in Polish now...
2. Wish I could divide my profile into several stages or areas of familiarity. If you're having a few non-intersecting interests in your life, the chances are those who follow you are going to get spammed a lot.
I feel bad about posting non sequitur now...
3. Too many notifications on my phone, in my gmail and about everywhere else. Had to go to options and turn everything off. I feel bad about ignoring my friends now...
4. Hard to catch big fish. So many John Smiths out there, and so few Baurs. I feel bad about searching user profiles now...
The bottom line is that this kid needs to grow up a bit. And that I feel kinda bad about messing with streams of distant folks.

PS. "ruemere" is unique. If you stumble upon this nick anywhere, it's me.

Couldn't you create a Polish circle and put only your Polish friends in it? Although a tagging system would be nice. Another person suggested "Public Squares" where you could post about a specific topic. I'm thinking it could work like #tags for twitter.

You can decide which circles to post things to. You can even decide which sections of your profile can be seen by public vs circles vs custom (haven't bothered to try custom yet).

They do seem a little notify happy. You can still check on the notifications when you log into + though.

I'm sure this will sort itself out quickly. Like twitter, I mostly on circle people that others in my circle have tagged. Wil Wheaton and Felicia Day were easy enough to find though.
I have hopes that it'll add some much needed features soon. I already prefer it to facebook. Now if only it can overcome the inertia that is everyone already being on the other service.

The thing is I am not so sure that it would work given that sorting through friends is sometimes difficult :)

I hope it does work like that.

Yep. The thing is that it takes a bit of time... why not simply allow for a digest mode, i.e. a single notification with list of updates?

I miss simpler ways of Wave. Branching discussions seems to be more organized under its interface.
Facebook? Never wanted to use it. :)
