Brevan and Brevic

Hello!

I'm one of the translators for the Italian edition of Pathfinder.
While translating the Player's Guide, I found two adjectives concerning the people of Brevoy: one is "Brevan" (seldom used, only in the Player's Guide and the Brevoy primer), the other is "Brevic" (much more common, even in other works).
Which one's correct? Are they both referring to people and object coming from Brevoy?
I'd like to have an official answer, if possible... :-)

Totally just random curiosity, having briefly studied Italian: does it actually matter in the translation? I was not aware.

IMC I use "Brevic". Brevan just sounds odd. Brevic rolls off the tongue.

While not official my understanding was a "Brevan" was a citizen of Brevoy, where "Brevic" referred to an item or custom of the Brevans. Kind of how a citizen of Turkey would be a Turk, while a rug of Turkey would be Turkish.

My version, anyway.

So for instance like the Brevic Army would be a bunch of Brevans? :)

Anyhow, I don't recall even reading Brevan, and have been using Brevic exclusively.

Actually it does. It's a bit like "Chelaxian" and "Chelish". :-)

"Brevan" is indeed the name for a person from Brevoy, while "Brevic" is the adjective, used for anything coming from Brevoy.

The comparisons to Turk/Turkish and Chelaxian/Chelish are exactly right.

I fear you should go for "Brevano" (a Brevory citizen) e "Brevoriano" (something coming from Brevory as in manufactured there).

"Brevano" don't sound so good but I don't see other options in Italian if you want to stay true to the original name.
