Map at the beginning of Round 03
I believe Coross, Darche and Lucca still have one additional turn of actions from Round 01.

Darche Schneider |

Yeah pretty much. Darche is currently still traumatized by the events at the tower. I didn't get really RP it much because of certain events, such as having to work nearly 12 hour shifts for a full week. (Note that all the hours weren't necessarily spent in one place)

Zachary McDonald |

As long as something doesn't drastically change the fight (like the creep being knocked out before my turn), this is what I'll do:
Zachary regains a bit of his composure, though he's still engaged and fighting. His claws recede, and he instead tries to punch the man out, not wanting another person to die today.
Unarmed attack, provokes AoO: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (14) + 2 = 16
Nonlethal Damage: 1d3 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 2 = 4

DM Patcher |

As Frum circles the strange man, he is momentarily distracted - though he lets out a fierce groan when Zachary strikes him in the chest. Blood trickles down on the snowy grass. "You...you will pay, I will eat your flesh and strip your bones! Never! NEVER!"
Skender strikes one of the wolves as he falls; the wolf lets out a sharp whimper and seems to be momentarily weakened. As Donte attempts to rise, he is struck by the other wolf, who seizes the moment, and delivers two fierce bites.
The strange man grabs for Zachary and grabs him by the neck. The dagger is promptly sheathed into his stomach as he presses up against the tiefling, with a maniacal laughter in his throat. Skender blocks the weakened wolf's attack, as it staggers, struggling to stay on its feet.
Zachary, you suffer 8 points of damage. Donte suffers 8 points of damage and is at -1.

Zachary McDonald |

Okay, so instead of the other action:
Zachary's claws transform back into fingers. His angry facial expression turns into a look of pain, and he collapses to the floor, spitting out a spray of blood.
Con check to stabilize vs. DC 13: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (16) + 2 = 18
Frum, if your intention was to flank with me, I'm at -3, so...

![]() |

@Zachary, oh I see. All I knew is you took 8 hp damage. . .hmm, well, I'll do the same thing anyway, with the same rolls, but with an attack of 5, since i forgot to account for the fact I am sick. only difference is if I hit, which I don't think, then all I'll do is 1 hp damage.

Rafael Ler'it |

The wolf bites into Donte and the pony yelps a gurgled whine and collapses to the ground.
Con check to Stabalize (DC 11): 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (15) + 2 = 17 - Success
Rafael says, "Hoc animatum funem." The rope at the foot of Wolf A begins to wiggle and begins to wrap around the wolf.
Rafael yells, "I'll help Zachary," as he picks up his Quarterstaff.

DM Patcher |

In a fit of rage, Darche strikes the strange man in the thigh, and Lucca follows up, scraping his cheek. Blood starts to dribble down his face, and he lets out a roar of rage, nimbly dodging Frum's strike.
Skender delivers a fatal blow to the wolf, its head halfway severed from its body. Rafael attempts to tie the other wolf up, but the canine dodges the rope with ease.
The man retaliates at the small, roaring kincade, but he stumbles - the cold must be biting into his almost bare skin and he fails to strike Darche.
The surviving wolf attacks Coross, but he blocks the fierce jaws with ease.

Frum takes a 5 foot step to flank the crazy man - I don't know which square it is because Lucca could'nt have hit in melle from where he was on the map, so he must have moved to one of only a couple squares, any of which Frum would have access to a corresponding flanking square.) So @DM please choose which square Lucca is on, and place me on the corresponding flanking square.
Frum flanks his enemy and tries again to skewer him with his blade, still snifling from his cold.
attack 1d20 + 5 - 1 ⇒ (20) + 5 - 1 = 24
damage 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 1 = 7
nice! I'll roll for crit
1d20 + 5 - 1 ⇒ (3) + 5 - 1 = 7

Darche Schneider |

Darche continues to scream wildly swinging away with both his claws.
Frum, I think the best spot would actually be to flank with me. We both get sneak attack and the like but currently my character is bezerking and couldn't think clearly enough to purpossoly attempt to do this. These dice rolls assume flanking
1d20 + 3 - 5 ⇒ (20) + 3 - 5 = 18
1d2 ⇒ 2
1d6 ⇒ 5
1d20 + 3 - 5 ⇒ (5) + 3 - 5 = 3
1d2 ⇒ 1
1d6 ⇒ 3

Rafael Ler'it |

Unless you, Frum, have the Nimble Moves feat moving 5-feet in hampered terrain will provoke an AoO from the man moving from F4 to F3 to flank with Darshe because you move instead of use a 5-foot step. If that's what you want to do then here's the map so far this round.

Zachary McDonald |

Well, according to his profile, Lucca is making melee rolls, because he has a +2 to hit ranged, and a +0 to hit melee, and he's been rolling d20+0. Specifically, it's a morningstar.
Couldn't they occupy my square, since I'm unconscious? It doesn't specifically say so in the prone condition description, but if DM allows it, that would solve the 5-foot movement problem.

Rafael Ler'it |

So if that's the case then Lucca was actually in H4 all this time and Frum doesn't need to move according to this map. Is that correct Lucca?

![]() |

I'll obviously let DM PAtcher make this call, but Zachary was not unconscious in the first round when Lucca made his first attack, so . . .and besides, Darche has made his attack based on me flanking with him, so I'll take the AoO to flank with him regardless where Lucca ends up

![]() |

we'll have to see how DM Patcher rules on whether Lucca can occupy the square of a prone player, and whether Lucca wants to be on that square. But I don't see why H3 isn't just as easy, and it surrounds him more. What happens if Rafael heals Zachary while Lucca is occupying the square?

Rafael Ler'it |

Unless you, Skender, have the Nimble Moves feat you cannot take a 5-foot step into difficult terrain.

DM Patcher |

Frum and Darche both lash out at the strange man, stabbing him and slashing him in vital spots; the man lets out a groan, but despite his punctured flesh he still stands, heaving for air. Rafael finds that Donte has stopped bleeding but is in pain, as Skender stands up.
The man again lashes out at Frum, but his balance is severely hampered and the dagger doesn't even grace the gnome. The wolf manages to bite Coross in the leg, and attempts to drag him down; Coross, however, stands firmly and doesn't trip.
Coross, you suffer 3 points of damage.

DM Patcher |

It is as Rafael bellows; Frum and Lucca's ferocious attacks bring the strange man down to his knees, and Darche, in his fury, buries one of his claws into his face. The tendons and flesh and skull all fall apart under the fierceness of the blow, and by the time the Kincade has stopped lashing madly at the man, his face is no longer whole. Blood and brain scatter the snow.
Skender dispatches of the wolf with two fierce strikes, the soft, sad whimper whisked away in the night. The glade of the forest is a bloodied mess, and the red is almost as numerous as the white as the night seems to grow colder...

![]() |

Frum pulls his sword from the strange man and drops it. This was the first time he had every killed anyone. Sure, there had been the monsters, but they seemed artificial and devoid of true life. This was different, and Frum didn't know how to feel, and worried whether he was reacting the way a 'normal' person should.
He decides to not think about such things until later, instead finding something useful to do. Frum searches the Crazy man for anything he might be carrying.
1d20 + 6 ⇒ (12) + 6 = 18
He then picks up his sword and cleans it carefully while speaking with his owl companion
1d20 ⇒ 14 for the spell-like ability

Rafael Ler'it |

Rafael says nonchalantly, "Anyone have any idea why they attacked us? Also anyone want to help me skin these wolves for their pelts and some meat? Best to deal with the wolves before they are frozen."
Rafael will Aid Other anyone who skins and debones he wolves (DC 10): 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (6) + 3 = 9 - Failure
