So... Tomb of Horrors, anyone?

Tilnar |

Sure, why not another whirl...
STR 3d6 ⇒ (5, 3, 6) = 14 No racial modifier: 14
DEX 3d6 ⇒ (1, 6, 1) = 8 No racial modifier: 8
CON 3d6 ⇒ (1, 1, 6) = 8 +2 Con: 10
INT 3d6 ⇒ (4, 2, 1) = 7 No racial modifier: 7
WIS 3d6 ⇒ (4, 2, 6) = 12 +2 Wis: 14
CHA 3d6 ⇒ (5, 1, 3) = 9 -2 Cha: 7
Wow, ok, not exactly pimpin' stats. I'd consider going martial in heavy armour to make up for the dex issue and to go with the strength, but, the low con would be less than ideal...
So, let's try... a Dwarven Inquisitor of Torag with the Defense subdomain so he doesn't get clobbered to death *quite* so easily.

Str 3d6 ⇒ (3, 6, 1) = 10 +0

Wis 3d6 ⇒ (1, 4, 4) = 9 -1
Cha 3d6 ⇒ (4, 4, 4) = 12 +1
Not a bad start to an Elvish Wizard who may or may not take a few levels in Rogue to become an Arcane Archer.
14 point buy so far... not exactly stellar, but I'm not dying the way some of you poor guys are.

Dragonsong |

Old school rolling and old school stat org!
STR: 3d6
INT: 3d6
WIS: 3d6
DEX: 3d6
CON: 3d6
CHA: 3d6Wow... I think I just rolled the hot-looking NPC sidekick
What are you talking about. That looks like a mighty fine sorcerer oracle or bard even if they are clumsy. Focus on party buffs and auto hit spells starting with a 19 CHA or 17 con 17 cha is pretty beefy.

Kobold Catgirl |

CHA: 3d6 ⇒ (1, 1, 2) = 4
Erdek, half-orc wizard. I'll put the +2 into Strength.
Erdek is a formidable opponent with his punching dagger, fond of enchanting the weapon with True Strike. He's a good ally in battle, but is extremely hard to get along with. Despite his surprisingly high intellect, he enjoys violence and will often pick fights with whoever looks toughest.
This strategy often results in him making use of his other spell, Expeditious Retreat.

LOL! If we are playing Pathfinder classes - you are totally right. But I was thinking 1E classes in honor of my 1E rolls and there were no Charisma-based casters back in the day. But, Pathfinder-wise, yeah I'd make this bad-boy a Sorcerer.

Ah, if it's 1E, Erdek will just be a very clever fighter.

Dragonsong |

Truth to tell, I think most folks are going with Pathfinder classes, so Erdek has a few more options. I just found the 'old school' rolling convention too nostalgic to resist. :)
STR 3d6 ⇒ (5, 1, 6) = 12 2
DEX 3d6 ⇒ (3, 6, 2) = 11 1
CON 3d6 ⇒ (2, 5, 6) = 13 3

WIS 3d6 ⇒ (5, 2, 4) = 11 1
CHR 3d6 ⇒ (5, 6, 4) = 15 7Hmmm not a bad set at all 16 PB.
1 ed style I would likely go dwarf to flip the Con and Cha and just be a fighter/ cleric.
2 ed the dwarven ftr cleric crusader kit From CBoDwarves

Kyremi |

Str: 3d6 ⇒ (2, 5, 4) = 11

Wis: 3d6 ⇒ (6, 5, 5) = 16

Wow. Umm... a druid? A dwarf druid, perhaps? Meaning that I'd get... Str 11, Dex 11, Con 7, Int 9, Wis 18, Chr 7.
So, meet Dolgrar, the frail, unfriendly, slightly stupid but incredibly wise dwarf with a monitor lizard animal companion. If he catches you he might bore you to death with a very meaningful story for a few hours.

Here goes nothing
Str: 3d6 ⇒ (3, 4, 5) = 12

Con: 3d6 ⇒ (6, 5, 6) = 17

Wis: 3d6 ⇒ (1, 1, 6) = 8
Chr: 3d6 ⇒ (5, 5, 6) = 16
A 16 Char and 17 Con? Oh the possibilities! Decent Str and Int too! Hm, I'll go with Human Summoner, add 2 to Char and be a very happy fellow.
Meet Dragan, who may be impulsive and clumsy but is quite likable once you get to know him.

![]() |

Based on the new bunch of dice threads, it's time to resurrect this!
STR: 3d6 ⇒ (3, 3, 2) = 8
DEX: 3d6 ⇒ (6, 2, 3) = 11
CON: 3d6 ⇒ (4, 2, 5) = 11
INT: 3d6 ⇒ (5, 5, 6) = 16
WIS: 3d6 ⇒ (4, 1, 1) = 6
CHA: 3d6 ⇒ (4, 6, 4) = 14
Dude! +9 point buy! I rule!
Human Wizard, +2 Int, and actually kick a modicum of ass!

Johnico |

Might as well give this a shot
Str: 3d6 ⇒ (1, 4, 3) = 8
Dex: 3d6 ⇒ (6, 4, 5) = 15
Con: 3d6 ⇒ (1, 5, 4) = 10
Int: 3d6 ⇒ (5, 3, 2) = 10
Wis: 3d6 ⇒ (5, 2, 3) = 10
Cha: 3d6 ⇒ (5, 5, 6) = 16
Talk about being simultaneously really good and really boringly average. I'm thinking a Halfling Bard that inspires allies with comedic stories his grandpappy told him while using the Halfling sling staff to hurl stones at people for ranged support.
This would bring his stats to
Str: 6
Dex: 17
Con: 10
Int: 10
Wis: 10
Cha: 18
He'd likely focus on spells that buff allies and allow him to either A) turn enemies to his side (Charm Person and such) or B) hurt enemies in somewhat indirect ways (stuff like Hideous Laughter and other spells that distract the enemy).

Tilnar |

So, round 3, huh? I'll bite (again)...
Str - 3d6 ⇒ (4, 3, 5) = 12 - No mod -> 12
Dex - 3d6 ⇒ (6, 6, 3) = 15 - No mod -> 15
Con - 3d6 ⇒ (6, 2, 4) = 12 - No mod -> 12
Int - 3d6 ⇒ (4, 2, 3) = 9 - No mod -> 9
Wis - 3d6 ⇒ (1, 6, 2) = 9 - No mod -> 9
Cha - 3d6 ⇒ (4, 6, 5) = 15 + 2 racial -> 17
Wow, this is the least icky set of stats I've gotten this way yet. I was going to totally min-max and make a halfling oracle or bard, but instead, meet Varek, Half-Orc Shaitan-Blood Sorcerer, slinger of rays.

Wander Weir |

Sure, it's been 5 months:
Str : 3d6 ⇒ (5, 4, 6) = 15
Dex : 3d6 ⇒ (4, 3, 2) = 9
Con : 3d6 ⇒ (3, 1, 4) = 8
Int : 3d6 ⇒ (4, 3, 6) = 13
Wis : 3d6 ⇒ (1, 1, 3) = 5
Cha : 3d6 ⇒ (5, 2, 2) = 9
I kind of like this set. I could make a Dwarf fighter, bringing his Con and Wis up to more manageable levels at the cost of the Cha. A half-orc Barbarian of some sort would also be nifty, putting the +2 in Con. I like the idea of a character with a decent intelligence but a really low wisdom. That could be very amusing.

Johnico |

Let's go again, let's go again!
Str: 3d6 ⇒ (6, 2, 4) = 12
Dex: 3d6 ⇒ (2, 3, 3) = 8
Con: 3d6 ⇒ (1, 6, 2) = 9
Int: 3d6 ⇒ (1, 3, 2) = 6
Wis: 3d6 ⇒ (1, 2, 4) = 7
Cha: 3d6 ⇒ (6, 5, 6) = 17
I'm thinking a half-orc sorcerer that specializes in fire magic. Probably with the Orc Bloodline. Add the racial +2 to either Con to make him more survivable or to Cha for extra sorcerer ability.

Navior |

Okay, this will be fun...
STR: 3d6 ⇒ (6, 5, 3) = 14
DEX: 3d6 ⇒ (6, 6, 1) = 13
CON: 3d6 ⇒ (1, 5, 5) = 11
INT: 3d6 ⇒ (2, 6, 3) = 11
WIS: 3d6 ⇒ (2, 3, 3) = 8
CHA: 3d6 ⇒ (2, 3, 3) = 8
Hmmm... There are quite a few things I could do with this. Fighter is the obvious choice, though a rogue would be workable too.

Tinalles |
STR 3d6 ⇒ (6, 2, 6) = 14
DEX 3d6 ⇒ (5, 4, 3) = 12
CON 3d6 ⇒ (1, 6, 3) = 10
INT 3d6 ⇒ (2, 3, 5) = 10
WIS 3d6 ⇒ (3, 1, 2) = 6
CHA 3d6 ⇒ (4, 4, 1) = 9
Hmm. Dwarven Barbarian. The +2 CON and WIS will help hit points and Will saves; the -2 CHA won't hurt very much. And the Rage will go a long way towards making him tough.

Wander Weir |

Wow, everyone has been doing much better lately. With that in mind, here's my latest set:
STR: 3d6 ⇒ (3, 6, 4) = 13
DEX: 3d6 ⇒ (4, 2, 6) = 12
CON: 3d6 ⇒ (5, 3, 5) = 13
INT: 3d6 ⇒ (5, 5, 3) = 13
WIS: 3d6 ⇒ (4, 5, 3) = 12
CHR: 3d6 ⇒ (3, 5, 5) = 13
Look at that! This character could be practically anything!

![]() |

OK, ONE more time... something other than a cleric...
STR: 3d6 ⇒ (1, 5, 1) = 7
DEX: 3d6 + 2 ⇒ (6, 2, 2) + 2 = 12
CON: 3d6 - 2 ⇒ (2, 2, 2) - 2 = 4
INT: 3d6 + 2 ⇒ (6, 1, 4) + 2 = 13
WIS: 3d6 ⇒ (2, 4, 1) = 7
CHR: 3d6 ⇒ (1, 4, 1) = 6
Score! An Elf Wizard... that no one likes and is likely to die if an Orc breathes on him.
Two scores at 6... so there's no point buy value for those. Bottom line it's a negative point buy.
-Perry

STR:3d6 ⇒ (1, 4, 3) = 8
DEX:3d6 ⇒ (4, 5, 6) = 15
CON:3d6 ⇒ (6, 4, 5) = 15
INT:3d6 ⇒ (1, 2, 1) = 4
WIS:3d6 ⇒ (1, 5, 3) = 9
CHA:3d6 ⇒ (5, 6, 2) = 13
8 STR? sucky
4 INT? suckier
But look at the CON, will ya? Yeah, he's a farking survivor this one. Oh yeah, and it's a good thing he's pretty.
/ side note - if I could raise INT and STR to 10, then I'd play him.

![]() |

Let's see
str 3d6 => (1, 3, 6)=10
dex 3d6=> (1, 2, 5)=8
con 3d6=> (1, 4, 4)=9
int 3d6=> (3, 5, 6)=14
wis 3d6=> (1, 5, 6)=12
cha 3d6=> (1, 1, 6)=8
Huh. This guy doesn't look too good in the physical stats, but he has good intelligence. I think I'll go with...a Tiefling Wizard, who is a social outcast due to his inability to talk with people, but is highly intelligent and understanding...

Johnico |

Methinks it's time for another round.
Str: 3d6 ⇒ (6, 1, 4) = 11
Dex: 3d6 ⇒ (5, 3, 5) = 13

Int: 3d6 ⇒ (4, 2, 1) = 7
Wis: 3d6 ⇒ (2, 3, 1) = 6
Cha: 3d6 ⇒ (4, 5, 3) = 12
I'm thinking go Halfling Rogue, play up the charm and nimbleness by being the party's resident face/backstabber.

![]() |

Well, rolling for stats in 3.5 sucks. So if I do this it's gotta be old school, which means 1st ed order of stats.
Str 3d6 ⇒ (5, 1, 3) = 9
Int 3d6 ⇒ (5, 5, 4) = 14
Wis 3d6 ⇒ (2, 3, 2) = 7
Dex 3d6 ⇒ (5, 2, 6) = 13
Con 3d6 ⇒ (1, 4, 2) = 7
Cha 3d6 ⇒ (5, 3, 4) = 12
Hm... Magic-user, looks like. Short life expectancy though...
