For Safrac
Safrac’s detect magic reveals that the figure in the room is still under the petrification charm.
Safrac is now surrounded by a layer of enchantment (mage armor).
For Angelica
The metal shod footfalls heralds the arrival of five black robed figures, armed with halberds and glaives. Potent runes of power are clearly etched on the blades.
“Miscreants,” says the lead figure holding what appears to be a rod of office, “you shall not escape!” His companions level their polearms and assume combat stances.
Initiative please. Angelica, they will be within range shortly.
For Safrac again

Initiative 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (10) - 1 = 9
Angelica waits with a patience only present due to knowing the outcome of her plan.

Safrac |
Initiative 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (19) + 3 = 22
We will escape, and we shall use your dead bodies as the first stepping stones out of this place.
Casting scorching ray on the one who spoke.
Ray one touch attack 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (12) + 6 = 18
Ray one damage 4d6 ⇒ (1, 6, 5, 2) = 14
Ray two touch attack1d20 + 6 ⇒ (15) + 6 = 21
Ray two damage 4d6 ⇒ (3, 4, 6, 3) = 16
All damage is electricity damage, but rather than bright blue it's black as sin

Angelica Nenaviste |

Rolling for readied Channel, in case it's before my init. 4d6 ⇒ (2, 1, 3, 6) = 12 DC 16 Will save for 1/2 damage.

Safrac |
Rolling for readied Channel, in case it's before my init. 4d6 DC 16 Will save for 1/2 damage.
I mean no offence by stating my action before it properly comes around to my initiative comes around proper. Means that I don't have to be by my pc when the combat round goes on

Angelica Nenaviste |

No problems from me. I just know from a PbP DM's perspective, it's easier to have the effects that are taken as an interrupt to the NPC's/Monsters actions, be ready before they take the actions being interrupted. Otherwise, to save time the DM sometimes feels forced to roll for the PC to keep the combat moving along.

Syndir Apep |

Look into your opponents eyes but see everything...
His shifu's instructions ran through his head as he saw Safrac aim her hand at the lead guard. Syndir focuses his breathing in his nexus and darts to the guard to the right of the leader glancing a blow off of the mans shoulder.
Ki Attack - 1d20 + 6 + 1 ⇒ (14) + 6 + 1 = 21
Damage - 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2

Safrac hurls two bolts of eldritch energy which skewers the leader, who then staggers behind the wall of steel formed by the other guards.
The rest of the pole-arm wielding guards advance on your group but a wave of red hateful energy slams them as Angelica presents her blood-stained hands formed into a blasphemous symbol. The blistering heat of that attack turns much of the their black robes into ash. Nevertheless, the guards reach Syndir first who they then surround and hack at. Clearly, they do not believe in a fair fight.
Guard 1 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (7) + 9 = 16 Damage 1d10 + 4 ⇒ (4) + 4 = 8
Guard 2 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (8) + 9 = 17 Damage 1d10 + 4 ⇒ (6) + 4 = 10
Guard 3 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (20) + 9 = 29 Damage 1d10 + 12 ⇒ (6) + 12 = 18
Guard 4 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (3) + 9 = 12 Damage 1d10 + 4 ⇒ (10) + 4 = 14
Syndir's training and innate grace helps him in this, his hour of need. All but one of the guards' attacks misses. But the one that hit did inflict a most grievous wound.
Syndir takes 18 points of damage
Vhailor, you're next!!!
DC 20 Perception for everyone

![]() |

Inasmuch as Angelica's attack weakened Vhailor's target, he manages to catch one of the guards unawares, striking him at the nape. Blood pours freely, feeling the immediate vicinity with its coppery scent. However, Vhailor's victim did not utter any sound of pain. Perhaps their fanaticism is so intense that they transcend any such mortal stimuli.
For Safrac
"Come on, ask for it."

Angelica Nenaviste |

I don't go this round due to my readied action correct? So instead I go right before the guards in next round's initiative?

Safrac |
Next round action,
All of you, get behind me for a moment
Cast Fireball in such a way that we wont get hit but as many of the guards are hit as possible.
7d6 ⇒ (5, 5, 4, 5, 1, 5, 4) = 29 as damage. Again making the damage as electricity.
As a free action, calling upon the power of Vass to aid us.
To the guards As I said, we will lead here over the corpses of your dead bodies!

Syndir Apep |

The cut from the eldritch blade smarted bled but was nothing Syndir couldnt handle but the insistance in Safrac's voice was something he noted...I remember what happened in the last room when she said stand back...
Syndir will attempt to withdraw. Any AoO are vs AC = 27 (mobility)

Belated Happy Father's day everyone :-)
Updated Initiative
Syndir 26
Safrac 22
Angelica 13
Prison Guards 12
Vhailor 11
Sa’Ryn 9
Skender 6
For those who Rolled 20 on the their Perception Roll
Syndir in an attempt to avoid being cut-off and cut apart jumps through the whirling blades of his attackers.
Attacks of opportunity
Guard 1’s attack 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (3) + 9 = 12 damage 1d10 + 4 ⇒ (10) + 4 = 14
Guard 2’s attack 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (13) + 9 = 22 damage 1d10 + 4 ⇒ (3) + 4 = 7
Guard 3’s attack 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (18) + 9 = 27 damage 1d10 + 4 ⇒ (4) + 4 = 8
Vhailor’s tentacle attack distracts Guard 4 enough that he will not be able to make the AoO
One of guards prove lucky and clips Syndir a bloody gash but Syndir still manages to get away.
Safrac seeing that Syndir’s out of the cordon unleashes another of his potent fireballs, shatters their formation though they remain standing.
Our new player, are you out there?

Skender Ghaelekin |

Stepping back in now that Safrac has loosed his electriball.
I know you don't use maps, but I have a complex move in mind and will need your help in knowing if it is possible. I have the Deception sub-domain ability to immediately teleport up to 10 feet whenever someone misses me with an attack. I wanted to know if I am close enough to move around the edge of these guards and either get to the leader without provoking an AoO not having moved more than 30 feet, or to provoke an AoO and teleport to the far side of that guard and be in an adjacent square to the leader? Does this make sense? My plan is to get to the leader and cast Inflict Serious Wounds, either casting defensively when I get to him if I have to use my power or cast then move to him if I can do so without provoking an AoO.
Your help is most appreciated

For Skender

Safrac |
How badly injured are the guards looking just out of interest?
My next round action is either a lightning bolt on the leader and anyone who gets in the way, or charm person on one of the guards, but obviously I would prefer to know roughly how damaged they are before making that call.

Angelica Nenaviste |

This is my action after Skender takes his.
Angelica moves forward from her feigned submissive position, nails bared, and swings at the nearest enemy.
Claw attack 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (9) + 10 = 19, damage 1d6 + 4 ⇒ (6) + 4 = 10. If I'm close enough to full attack, second claw attack 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (15) + 10 = 25, damage 1d6 + 4 ⇒ (6) + 4 = 10. If both hit add an extra 1d6 ⇒ 5.
Not trying to be a pain, just a visual person.

![]() |

Got the program, but need more time to study it
Angelica's seductive female form flows between the badly burned guards, and with a caress from each of her hands, she ends the misery of a guard, but not painlessly. The spurts of arterial blood from her victims makes Angelica's robes darker.
The lead guard gestures for the others to sell their lives dearly.
Guard 4 attacks Vhailor's tentacle.
Guard 4 attack 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (10) + 9 = 19 damage 1d10 + 4 ⇒ (10) + 4 = 14
while Guard 3, attacks Angelica.
Guard 3 attack 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (11) + 9 = 20 damage 1d10 + 4 ⇒ (5) + 4 = 9
The lead guard true to form turns tail.

Safrac |
Sa'Ryn's fear charm seems to enhance the urgency in the lead guard as he advances away from you, trailing blood as he goes.
How far is the leader who just turned tail from me? I might do a charm person on the bugger.
Intimidate 1d20 + 16 ⇒ (8) + 16 = 24
Shout at the guards See how even you leader flees from us like a dog with his tail between his legs! We can end this battle now with your dead bodies, or you can beg for your survival, show us where our equipment is, and then perhaps we will take you with us to make up for your impudence as slaves or similar
I will be casting lightning bolt if so much as one person momentarily defies me.
Lightning bolt. 7d6 ⇒ (6, 5, 6, 6, 6, 3, 3) = 35

Syndir Apep |

Blood leaking from two slashes now Syndir moves into a flanking position with Vhailor (if possible) and lashes out with slicing kick to the guards ribs
Ki Attack - 1d20 + 6 + 1 ⇒ (17) + 6 + 1 = 24 +2 if flanking
Damage - 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3
HP = 51/69

Jaylen |

Her magical confinement fails. She stumbles; muscles, weak. Her head pounds. Her eyes hurt. She lowers herself to the floor. No sense of her surroundings. Vague figures dance before her. No, not dance; fight. Black robes against black. Looking down, she, too, in black. Slowly raising her hands, she rubs at her face, trying to get some sort of grasp of the situation. What does she remember? Nothing. No, not nothing. Something...
A shout nearby brings her to the here and now. Focus, she urges herself. Lifting her head, the battle goes on, the opposing sides ignore her. For now, at least. Deep breaths. Head is clearing; eyesight adjusting.
Still, confusion.
Raising herself to a sitting position, the girl slides her hood back and looks around, green eyes wide. A large room; empty save for a few robes littering the floor, the only way out blocked by the combatants. No place to hide. She raises a hand to her chest. Nothing. Is this some sort of test?
Taking a deep breath, the girl tentatively gets to her feet, her strength and faculty slowly returning. She watches as the battle rages, trying to make sense of it. If I'm to get out, I need to choose a side. No order to the attacks of one side. An absent leader on the other.
Decision time.

Safrac |
Blimey Jaylen, nice prose there.
My next round actions have already been described above, but for clarity they are:
Check how far leader of guards is from me.
Intimidate check for a total of 24
Shout at the guards See how even you leader flees from us like a dog with his tail between his legs! We can end this battle now with your dead bodies, or you can beg for your survival, show us where our equipment is, and then perhaps we will take you with us to make up for your impudence as slaves
I will be casting lightning bolt if anyone (as in the guards) momentarily defies me.
Lightning bolt. 7d6 ⇒ (6, 5, 6, 6, 6, 3, 3) = 35

Since you are evil, I will not object.
Though the guards are now unarmed, Syndir delivers a bonecrushing kick that snaps his target like a popsicle stick.
