and if we say no, God? What then?

"Then we continue where we left off and I kill all of you."

"If you are a god, why would you need any of us? I know I have no need of you. You gods are no more than high powered princesses, begging for attention, so others can do for you what you should be doing for your selves. I give myself to no one, and no one has dominion over me without it being against my will. I have no room for gods, as they could care less for me if I am not satisfying their demands." Angelica responds, her words dripping with anger.

Dark Archive

"Bah! Let us hear the others before we proceed to your sentencing hehehe."

Female Half Orc Sorcerer 7

The risks be great, but whilst I once deemed that I would bow down to no-one, and that those who tormented me would see my revenge, I can only do this with the addition of great power. If there are no other takers, then I am willing to do so. After all, without great risk there is no great reward. Before running into battle, the Orc braves would have rituals pledging themselves to their dark gods, and the power that they experienced gave them great strength. If it worked for them, why would it not do so for me?

Casting a gaze around, if there are no others willing to volunteer then I will step forward with arm outstretched.

PLEASE DON'T KILL MEEEEE!!!!!!

Gnome Wizard (Familiar Adept) 3

Vhailor cocks his head to the side and observes.

Alright we shall end tonight's session at this point.

Stay tuned tomorrow when we find out what happens to Safrac. Or will somebody else offer himself up to the meatgrinder hehehe.

HP: | AC: | T: | FF: | CMD: | F: | R: | W: | Perc: | SM: | Init:

Nodding at Safracs logic but still shocked at how quickly the half orc jumped at the chance to let this god inhabit her Syndir thought long and hard about how he almost made the same offer...ssslither and plot...i already made a rash decision today...the ssserpent lies in wait...

Skender listens to the woman's rant with interest, but otherwise remains silent.

Dark Archive

"Well, well. I am pleasantly surprised. Perhaps eternity will not be so boring after all."

The being caresses Safrac as one would a lover. "Answer me without reservation and I promise no lies."

"Do you swear to serve me body and soul?"

Safrac shudders at the touch slightly, but few would realise that she is actually rather enjoying the feeling of power.

I do

Dont let go of the self Safrac or you could be lost forever

Female Half Orc Sorcerer 7

To Syndir Thank you for those wise words, I will keep them in mind.

To the God I pledge myself body and soul to you, for however long you require my body, you shall have it. I pledge myself to you for the power that you bring me, and for the knowledge that will come with it. I pledge myself to you for the fact that it will bring me my freedom from this hell hole.

Dark Archive

"I am pleased, my dear."

With a talon-like finger, the being traces a red line across Safrac's right palm. It then makes a similar line across its right palm. Safrac and the being pressed their wounded palms together. Then the being starts to recite a litany of blasphemous words in a tongue long dead when the world was still yet to be formed.

The rest of you cover your ears. The sheer evil of the words slam your souls with the force of hammer the size of the moon.

Then darkness overtakes all of your sight.

HP: | AC: | T: | FF: | CMD: | F: | R: | W: | Perc: | SM: | Init:

Dark and Empty! Are you still with us Safrac?

Dark Archive

Your sight returns and you see Safrac standing alone, the being nowhere to be seen. She seems to be fine though the smell of fire and brimstone fills your nostrils.

HP: | AC: | T: | FF: | CMD: | F: | R: | W: | Perc: | SM: | Init:

...Ah such delicious smells...she'll bear watching for awhile...

Syndir starts to search the corpses for anything useful.

Perception - 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (16) + 13 = 29

Dark Archive

Despite the thoroughness of your search, you only came with body parts, and torn and burnt robes. But for those of you who have no dietary taboos....

Female Changeling "Varisian" Burglar 4/Fighter 2 (AC: 20 [T: 14 /F: 16] (+2 vs Traps); HP: 49/49; F+4, R+7 (+2 vs traps), W+1 (+2 vs Illusions/Fear); Init: +3; Perc: +16 [+18/+20], 60' darkvision)

Angelica scoffs "Well, congratulations Safrac, you have now successfully become the puppet of a being who concerns themselves little to none about your well-being or survival. Except if it provides for their own ends, you are nothing more than a figurehead." she adds with a smirk "I'll try not to assume that your opinion is not always your own, or take half of what you believe with a grain of salt."

Mindless sheep of gods, why do so many buy into their lies? To think I had lived that lie for so long. I am relieved to have finally seen through the deception.

Sa'Ryn skulks in the shadows watching the god-thing and basks in the evil words as the power flows through the room.

HP: | AC: | T: | FF: | CMD: | F: | R: | W: | Perc: | SM: | Init:

The smell of fresh blood is almost too much for him...hopefully hunger wont persist...the Wyrm is no carrion eater...eat what you ssslay...

Looks like we're done in here. Lets keep moving.

Female Half Orc Sorcerer 7

To Angelica To trust blindly in the gods is the exact opposite of what I have done here. I have seen what the braves were able to do when I was with my tribe, and the feats of strength and endurance that they were able to carry out went beyond the strength of a natural being. Therefore it could only have been done through the calling and wishes of a god. With this being known to me, why not take a blind leap of faith once in a while and see what happens? After all, without great risk there is no great reward. If anything, what I did is a greater show of bravery than to simply sit back and watch as the world passes you by.

To Syndir Thank you for your words of wisdom earlier. They helped mightily in the blackness of the revelation. You are right however, we should get moving, we do not know who else may have heard this exchange.

Perception at the bodies to notice anything strange about the manner in which they are killed, and to ascertain whether it was my spell that actually killed them
1d20 ⇒ 4

Ok, scratch that.

Female Half Orc Sorcerer 7

Tumbleweed oh how lovely you look

Dark Archive

For Safrac

Spoiler:
You don't feel any different from before; all pieces of your anatomy are in place; the ritual did not seem to have affected you in the least other than to cover you in a light dusting of ash.

Dark Archive

You depart the place you now regard as Cellblock B, and proceed down another corridor trailing off to the right. It seems that the makers of this prison had a one track mind.

Spellcraft Check please

For those who have rolled Spellcraft checks, you easily identify the torches as magical constructs.

Though it is the first time that you have all worked together, to the unbiased observer, you all work well. Your scouts range ahead through the shadows but not far enough that the rest of you cannot intercede in time.

The corridor turns to the the left and downward after you have walked some time.

After a few moments, you see what appears to be the opening to another cellblock. No sounds of violence is apparent from your position.

Gnome Wizard (Familiar Adept) 3

If possible, Vhailor reaches out with his tentacle to grasp a torch and hold it aloft his head for light.

Dark Archive

Vhailor has a torch in his tentacle.

I will also grab a torch in one hand, then continue down the tunnel after the scounts. Readying an action to cast charm person on the first obviously hostile person seen.

Perception 1d20 ⇒ 19

Sa'Ryn continues to follow the others staying in the shadows and creeping along. As they arrive at the next cell block he is alert for danger.

Stealth (no move penalty) 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (7) + 12 = 19
Perception 1d20 + 16 ⇒ (2) + 16 = 18

Knowing the torch wouldnt allow him to have both hands free Syndir passes on carrying a torch for now. Passing through the entrance to the apparently quiet cellblock he moves to the left inside the door and checks for enemies.

Stealth - 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (5) + 8 = 13

Skender watches the bald man enter into the room. He looks around the corner into the room to see what first impressions he gathers while staying hidden.

Perception: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (6) + 12 = 18

Stealth: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (13) + 11 = 24

Safrac will be wary as hell, but covering Syndir. Its a toss up between lightning bolt or charm person right now

and ninja's jump in!

Dark Archive

Hello Guys, Just came back from the Hospital; been nursing my girlfriend back to health.

Those entering the cellblock are surprised to find that most of the occupants have left, save for one figure standing still in one corner. The figure does not utter any sound nor make any movement.

Those who have Track feat, note that the tracks leading out of the room have been made fairly recently.

For Syndir

Spoiler:
You count at least 10 sets of footprints.

For Safrac

Spoiler:
You feel a faint stirring in your consciousness; like a nightmare threatening to overwhelm your senses. "You think I am gone? But sorry I am not. I will protect you. You need but ask for my help and I will grant you power. Beware, though, others will be jealous of your fortune." The demonic voice then burst into laughter.

Those outside the cellblock, hearing the rapid pounding of metal shod feet. You have but a moment (one round) to decide what to do.

Gnome Wizard (Familiar Adept) 3

Hope your GF is feeling better and it wasn't anything too serious.

Vhailor transfers the torch from tentacle to hand and makes sure he isn't standing in the front row.

HP: | AC: | T: | FF: | CMD: | F: | R: | W: | Perc: | SM: | Init:

DM Radavel:
Sorry to hear that your GF isnt feeling well. Hope she bounces back soon

Looks like everyone split when they had the chance. I count 10 sets of footprints leading out but cant tell how long ago.

If I get a round to prepare then Im casting Mage Armor

AC = 19 or 23 with Mage Armor/ HP = 69

Female Half Orc Sorcerer 7

Detect Magic on the figure in the corner, then mage armour. That should bump my AC up to 18.

Bah, if only we knew where our weapons and equipment were then we wouldn't be running around like scared rabbits.

AC 18 with 49HP.

To the demon Whilst it may seem a trivial matter, would you be able to tell me where my equipment, namely my spear is? I assume you know this area better than I. Also, what name would you like me to use? It seems silly having to refer to you as a nameless being when you are as powerful as you are.

Female Changeling "Varisian" Burglar 4/Fighter 2 (AC: 20 [T: 14 /F: 16] (+2 vs Traps); HP: 49/49; F+4, R+7 (+2 vs traps), W+1 (+2 vs Illusions/Fear); Init: +3; Perc: +16 [+18/+20], 60' darkvision)

"Running around like scared rabbits? Speak for yourself Puppet, that is, if your master lets you." Angelica responds snidely. "I have all the weapons I need right here." She flexes her fingers, topped by sharpened nails, and then points to her brain.

"Speaking of, I have a fun little idea. You all go in the room, I am going to feign surrender... just until they all get close enough." Angelica takes a knee, extending her hands in the air, and focuses her detect good in the direction that the sounds of footsteps are coming from.

Bluff 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (19) + 3 = 22 to look like I'm surrendering. Readying a Channel Negative energy for as soon as least 3-4 of the guards are within the 30' radius

HP: | AC: | T: | FF: | CMD: | F: | R: | W: | Perc: | SM: | Init:

As wish my lady

Syndir moves as far away as possible with the time remaining somehow forgetting the figure in the corner.

Female Half Orc Sorcerer 7

Syndir! Don't bow down to her so quickly, I thought we had something special!

Yes, there will be a special lightning bolt for Angelica when I finally get a chance to get her alone.

Walking into the room warily, focusing detect magic on the figure in the room
