During basic, some fella found a saucer sized tarantula in his IBA, lol. While still on Oki, I almost put helmet on with a 6 inch red centipede under the dust cover. That would have ruined my day quick. Thanking GOd I never had to deal with a snake in my stuff given the places I've been always have had rather poisonous fellas.

We did manage to spot a black snake where we were about to site our CP. I decided to let him have the spot, it was too sunny anyway.
He's lucky we didn't have the good PTE Bacon along or it would have been lunch. That's what happened last time a goanna roamed too close. Bakes is a Jackeroo, and if it crawls on the face of Australia he knows how to kill, gut, and cook it.

I am not convinced people realize how different the Old World is from Golarion. It seems people want to impose the alignment system on a world where good, is at best, a matter of opinion, lol.

            Did I miss something here?
Me too, what did I miss? I certainly know that it's very different from standard DnD. Good/Evil is as clear or unclear as it is in our world. Chaos in the Old World is more like radioactivity, it corrupts and destroys all about it, but it's only vaguely related to moral or ethical concepts. Note: that's internal to the world, as literature, it's very much a morality play, with right and wrong as very, very grey.

Due to a 'scheduling error' (not mine - ha!) I will be opening up a PFS scenario shortly as a single shot for a wayward player. Will be looking for anyone else with a lowbie (probably L1-2) to jump in a party of 4, scenario TBA - not an ongoing interest at this stage.
I think once this lot are done though I might have a re-jig of the parties as things are a bit slow on the post rate and its making things drag, I'm a slightly impatient player, but an even more impatient GM :p
TLDR:
Tomorrow, spaces open for a PFS mod Tier 1-2(ish) - express interest before I throw it open.
Party of 4 FCFS.

I keep wanting to jump into a PFS scenario, but just started one campaign and am discussing another and really do not think that I can devote the time. However, I am sure that I will hate myself when another campaign dies on me.

Mark, I've seen that movie a couple times. I was at a college meet once, and we had 3 foils for the 4-man foil team for the entire day. The first competitor broke TWO of them in the first bout. !!!!
I also saw a guy get stabbed by the broken end of a saber, reasonably nasty stab wound in his lower left abdomen (about a quarter inch deep). He's lying on the ground, and they're taking off his stuff, and my coach (who was officiating the bout) walked up to him, and said, "sorry, but 'touch left' "(meaning his competitor's stab was a legal hit, which won the bout). At least he didn't have to forfeit, he lost fair and square (and bloody)

Yeah, wasn't good... less good that I was sitting five meters away from it as well.
I've scored a ball to the mouth (sound described as like a wet smack of a carcass on cement) that pushed a tooth around - but my mouthguard absorbed most of the impact.
I've gone in the wrong side and caught a stick to the forehead that resulted in 27 stiches.
My brother caught a hockey ball in the eye socket that cut up his cheek and gave him a wicked black / bloodshot eye for a couple of months.
All in all, pretty violent sport eh?

Big day - snapped my first epee blade... sadly not while performing an epic thrust to win a bout...
You just need a cheap-o foil like they have in college phys ed. I think we had like three breaks in a semester. One snapped on a pretty epic thrust and the victim was spotting front and back. We were all convinced he was run through. The guy even looked like he was going into shock.
Turns out the foil snapped and the broken half flipped over his shoulder to somehow nick him on the back as well. freaky.

I played ultimate (frisbee) for years, a "non-contact" sport. Only KOed myself twice. Worse injury I saw was when someone came down on his arm and it sort of bend the wrong way - in other wards, he managed to make his elbow double jointed, instantaneously and involuntarily. I must say that did not look pleasant.
