From Urban Dictionary:
sirrah
a man who eats mutton and goes drinking at an hours warning whensoever or wheresoever the devil could fetch him;
a man who leaves stank, occassionally opening a ball of funk;
a man who longs for ample comings in;
a man who is a companion to mookey
Who the hell is mookey, and why would I be a companion to him.

Côtes du Rhône.I'm a snob when it comes to spelling, as well as tasting.
You know I should have spelled all of that correctly due to the serious time in France (Avignon in particular) and Cotes de Rhone (sorry can't get the accent grave in there) well actually Chateauneuf du Pape is one of my favorites.
My spelling is atrocious but I certianly understand the snobbery and no need to apologize I am a snob when it comes to food and drink so go ahead and be a snob I can hardly fault you when I do the same myself.

Côtes du Rhône. The accents are circumflexes, rather than accents graves, and "du" is a contraction of "de le," implying that the Rhône river is masculine.
P.S. I agree that the Châteauneuf-du-Pape appelation produces some of the best wines in the region; the dry climate, clay soils, heat-retaining pebbles, and dry mistral winds combine to work wonders there.

oh dear screwed it up again eh.
Oh well; now do you care for some of the lesser known vintages of the area Giogondas and the Gigondas or the Vacqueyras regions? Are there particular vineyards you prefer from that region? Myself I enjoy though do not part take often (due to the cost) Chateau de Beaucastel they have a Chateauneuf-du-Pape and a Cote du Rhone having whites and reds. One of my favorite years is 2007 certianly one of the better years for Rhone wines in decades.
(Strange I just noticed this was my 1,000th post)

I believe I like Budweiser. St. Louis' finest. When I was younger I occasionally veered off into Killian's Red or Moosehead, but I always came back to Anheuser-Busch.
I can be persuaded to drink white Zinfandel, but I honestly can't tell them apart.
I never really had a yearing for hard likker, but if it was made into a cunning drink like a Long Island Ice Tea, I'd be sure to quaff it down.

I am not sure but I think I like the new avatar. Not quite moneky though.
Beers: Newcastle from my days of living in London. Molson Export my father's beer of choice and Rolling Rock (college days) also have a soft part in my heart for American Beer. As well as Heffer Weissen Beers.
the Hard Stuff: Rum and scotch (single malt if you please). Though I have been known to indulge in congac of course as well as ports and whiskey. I enjoy Cachaca (brazilian rum) as well as an occasionaly tekillya.

No -- and I hope to profit from your experience! I'll try and track down some of your recommendations soon.
I've moved from French wines (largely due to cost and massive inequity in quality) over to Washington State and Oregon reds (which I enjoy far better than the California ones) and New York whites (which sadly generally can't be found outside of New York). Grenache and mourdevre grapes seem to be largely unknown or underused in the U.S., although some of the Bordeaux-style cabernet sauvignon/merlot/cabernet franc blends are quite good.
I'm also partial to the Spanish tempranillas.

Hmm. I believe I have been called out on my bs. But I find it hard to believe they would have two plants so close to each other. I believe I must look into this further...
EDIT: Oops, fixed link.

I believe that stew is smelling really good.
I believe that the spaghetti sauce my wife is making smells especially delicious with the homegrown tomatos, garlic and basil included in it.
I believe that both of these sound delicious, and I am now hungry. I believe part of me wants to eat both at the same time, even though I know they probably don't go together.

I believe Mr Anklebiter is becoming way too lawful for my comfort zone. Talking about reporting people to the governor and now giving poor Gary a hard time about taking a little money from ponies I mean what is the harm in that. They are constantly getting money anyways I mean everyone loves ponies as long as they are not hurt oot much a guy has to make a living.
