Pavel & Sigurd:
The leading group continues to edge forward through the first stream with careful movements and make little noise in the crossing only 50 ft from the first crossing when you make out a wagon sitting in the road it is unattended. You will need to cross 2 more streams before reaching the Wagon and first of those crossings is no more then 100 feet in front of you. Signaling your companions behind you to stop. What you can make out.

Jonas Simon:
Coming on the first crossing you can see Pavel and Sigurd have stopped and our signaling for you to do the same you are uncertain what they are seeing but it seems to be down a bend in the trail. At this time you are both within 90 to 100 feet of Sigurd and Pavel.

Pavel replaces his longbow and pulls out his bastard sword, anticipating a possible ambush. He creeps carefully forward, watching the wagon and the trees while he crosses the streams.

Um, that's a 27 if it's versus humans. Should I make a new stealth check?

Sorry I missed the update

Simon will stay at the previous distance of the scouts unless they give the sign to aproach [/ooc]

I am going to go under the assumption that Sigurd was following your lead Pavel and that you inform him of what you see in the spoiler

Pavel & Sigurd:
You edge forward and just before you make the first stream crossing you make out a man dressed in leather armor in a tree stand at K7. You know that you are in a open area at this point so if you are lucky you can try to make a break for the trees and hope he doesn't see you or back peddle using the natural screen of the trees his platform is set behind to keep hidden. If you push forward you would be within open line of sight and he will only have to make a perception role to spot you. However you can try to retrace your steps which will provide you with the opportunity to make a Stealth check to remain hidden from his sight. You can also try to make a surprise attack with a ranged weapon and hope it hits and silences him before his action. You will get the first hit for sure and a second if you beat his initiative. With both Sigurd and Pavel that would be 2 guaranteed shots and 2 more possible shots. There may be other options available too you just laying out the three most obvious options and there repercussions.

Pavel draws back his bow and lets loose an arrow it misses wide of its mark rustling leafs in its passing. Sigurd following the example of his companion draws back his bow and also fires at the sentry his arrow finds the mark striking a harsh blow to the mans bowels he clutches at his belly as Pavel's second arrow pierces the man in the throat; any call of warning he may have made certainly ending at the point of the deadly missile. The man disappears from your immediate view as he doubles over leaving him obscured by the foliage of the tree in front of the stand.

Dekem:
Keston looks thoughtful for a moment I am not certain of all the dangers myself, having just come to the area but as I understand there is a decent sized population of wild boars that live in these wilds. Young nobles of Restov will come with a retinue and hunt them from time to time to prove their man hood. These wilds are also claimed to be the home to many fey creatures witch makes a certain amount of sense considering the amount of resistance this area has historically shown towards being civilized. I am certain there are other dangers but those are the only ones that I can honestly say I have any familiarity with except perhaps the most obvious one of banditry. My intent is to only go as far into the woods as is necessary to find half a dozen hard wood trees. From what Oleg has told me their should be a few clumps of them in the outer edge of the wood. I plan to take with me one of the two captured bandits with me as well as one of my men and yourself. that should allow us to have at least 2 men at work while 2 watch for dangers.

Pavel signals to Jonas and Simon that the coast is clear. He approaches the wagon and lookout post, staying carefully behind the wagon so as not to be seen further up the trail.

Male Human Alchemist 1

"Hmmm...aye, that seems a sound plan. When do you plan to leave?" Dekem asked Keston.

"I have certain preparations I'll need to make before leaving. It should only take me an hour or so."

Dekem:
I would like to get a early start tomorrow morning if everything works out we may even be able to complete everything within two days time. I plan to hustle us to the forest look for our logs and hopefully cut them down and at least start on our way back. I have made preparations with Svetlana for her to provide 4 days of food and early tomorrow she will have wandermeal cakes laid out for our meal tomorrow and what other rations she decides to pack for the rest of the trip.

Could everyone indicate where they intend to be on the board within the next round using the view of the camp provided. give me the specific coordinates. I believe that there is a current misunderstanding as to where you started on the board Pavel you where at about E or F 16 when you took your shots at the bandits that would go the same for Sigurd. Go from there and make a round worth of movement. A Full round of movement will leave Jonas and Simon at the north edge of this map on the trail. My apologies if that was not clear before. If you wish to move into the blackened area let me know and give your best estimate as to where you wish to be and I will play it by ear.

That being the case please as best you can tell me your intent Sigurd and I will try to move your character to a position that is optimal as it stands keeping with Pavel isn't a bad idea at this point. depending on how it is being blocked you can try to look up the campaign site under the Narater alias and root through library and DM tools find one of the bandit camp maps. Finally I could try to email it to you. Let me know what works best for you Sigurd.

"I'll try to move in from a different angle," Sigurd whispers as he slinks down the river. "Once I'm in position, I'll fire an arrow from hiding - that's sure to get their attention. Once they're eyes are on the trees, move in and hit them in back."

Dropping into a crouch, he begins to move along the riverbed, looking for a place away from the light of the bandits' campfire where he can ford the stream.

Sigurd tries to find a place to ford the stream, then will get sneak into a flanking position, so that while the rest of the party hits them from the front (or back), Sigurd can fire from the sides.

With a cursory search you find that you will have to enter a little ways into the woods however despite that unforeseen complication it only takes about 2 hours to find a good selections of oak trees to harvest from. The men begin there work as tools are readied and candidates for chopping are selected. the first tree proves easy to fell but difficult to orient in the direction of the fort for hauling but with help of the horses and everyone you are finally able to get it sorted. Soon the second tree has fallen and your group is again forced to make adjustments to get the tree oriented properly and cleared of its branches when you hear the yelling of one of Keston's men. A man named Tristen if you remember correctly; he had been chopping off branches at the far end while the prisoner was working on the other side cleaning to clear the trunk of branches. With the yelling work stops as you see the man stumble through the felled tree swiping at his back and shoulders as he draws near you can see a two writhing segmented bugs with what appears to be dozens of tiny legs that are close to two feet in length and several inches around. Sigurd moves parallel with the log and fires at the axe wielding woman when a opening presents itself but the numbness in his hand makes all the difference and his shot misses but only by a single hands length.

Pavel pushes through the logs and light scrub until he has a clear path between him and the mouthy bandit his challenging tone seems to anger her. Jonas’s takes advantage of her distraction and his sword manages a glancing blow to the bandits shoulder as it slips past her defenses but she moves quickly to mitigates most of the damage by stepping away from the magically guided swing, only allowing the tip of the blade to nick flesh through armor. She screams Someone take that magic user down! I have my dance partner picked out already.

With Sigurd focused on the axe wielding bandit one of the other bandit takes advantage of the opening and charges at the Holy Hunter confident in their advantage. In front of Simon are two of the remaining bandits. one of them hearing their leaders orders pushes through the brush under the tree stand and sights Jonas making a beeline for him while the last bandit gets over his initial surprise and swiftly moves to take Simon on.

The bandit attempting to attack Sigurd finds he is not as unaware as he initially appeared as Simon side steps the swing leveled at him. The blade coming so close to hitting that it slices into his cloak in its passing. Jonas's Opponent fights his way through the brush and finds himself falling forward having to run to catch his balance he catches himself just before running into Jonas's blade but his flow of movement is ruined forcing him to make only a half hearted swipe more to keep Jonas at bay then a real attempt at a attack.

Simon's enemy comes at him warily they test each other with tentative swings of there swords when the bandit makes a desperate gamble and attempts to move past Simon's blade where the bandits short sword will have a advantage. the move catches Simon off guard and the two men are left to grapple for a moment. Simon is successful in preventing the bandit from striking him with the short sword but looses his own in the fight before using his shield to force the bandit back leaving him with shield in hand and the sword at his feet.

The bandit leader finally picks her time to strike and makes what appears to be a rush at Pavel. He takes a mighty swing at the woman but at the last minute she stops leaving Pavel open as his sword misses her by no more then an inch. The bandit leader takes advantage of the opening and embeds a dagger that seems to appear from no where deep into Pavel's chest leaving the weapon embedded as she leaps back her axe held to ward against a back swing from the heavy sword. Simon presses forward with the mobile wall of steel shoving the bandit back before quickly kneeling and grabbing his sword not bothering to even regain his feet before striking out with the blade. The deadly strike slashes the bandits groin creating a fatal wound. Any fight the bandit had quickly leaves him as he desperately try's to keep his life's blood from completely spilling to the ground.
