After my GM's current campaign wraps up we'll be moving on to Serpent's Skull. The African imperialism elements in the Mwangi Expanse/Sargava are really intriguing to me, and since we've never really had anyone play a lawful evil character in our games, (we have, but I don't count them because the players were terrible at it) I decided an imperialist character would be great. There'll be social darwinism, taking advantage of the locals, forcing Cheliax's religion on them (because of COURSE she's gotta be Chelaxian :p ), the whole shebang. My question is, will there be much opportunity for such a character to flex those dominating, all-conquering, lawful evil muscles, or does this game focus more on the ruin-delving, Indiana Jones-esque elements? I get the impression that the latter is more prominent, although I'm ever so optimistic that this character will be fun to play in Serpent's Skull.

First of all, you should consult your GM and other players before going full-out imperialist asshat ;)
That said, I think it would be a great character for the second and third part of the AP, though that depends on how much your GM plays up the interaction with NPCS. Be aware that almost the entire AP takes places outside of "Sargava proper", so your character should be an explorer/conqueror of some sort, not a urban industrialist.

Naturally. Part of the aforementioned "terrible at it" was that the players didn't try to make it work with the rest of the party. It makes for interesting drama, but ultimately just gets the evil PC kicked out of the party/killed.
I'm glad to hear there's ample opportunity :] As for her excuse to stay in the jungle, her first motive was to travel to Sargava to try and correct the rebellion by attempting to bring them back under Cheliax's fold. For the first part of the adventure she'll likely grumble about trying to get back on the path to Sargava, but eventually decides that whatever's going on in the Mwangi Expanse will bring her greater glory and stays.

I love your character concept!
I have a hunch there will opportunity to flex your muscles of Chelish Imperialism at least once.
Let me know how it plays out.

Thank you very much :] I'm really excited about her.
Love the character concept. Ask the GM if they'll allow you to have a pith helmet
What, pray tell, is a pith helmet?
