This would have had me....until I found out they were STILL splitting the movies across two discs each. Seriously? A damned Blu-Ray can hold 50 gigs! Just put the entire damn thing on one disc...you can shove ALL the extras I won't ever watch onto three or four discs per film if you want, just let me watch the movie in one continuous go without an annoying "insert disc two" message popping up.

Wait until you see the content by disc before judging. 3 very long movies at 1080p resolution? I could easily see that as breaking the 50 gig ceiling, which by the way is an ideal ceiling, not neccessarily a practical one.

Now this I have been waiting for.

Totally agree. Ridiculous, and not really acceptable for a blu-ray.

Definitely a no-buy.

I've seen blu-rays of TV shows that shove 4-6 hour long episodes onto the disc in 1080p. Splitting movies in the age of the blu-ray is completely unacceptable. And it's not 3 very long movies on one disc, it's ONE very long movie on one disc, and three discs. Plus probably a fourth disc for special features. Until they offer that package, it remains a no-buy.
