Advice for adventure group

Looks like this:

Half elf Witch
Half-orc Barbarian (going for haunted curse oracle then rage prophet)
Dwarf Magus
Human Gunslinger (going for alchemist/master chymist with a twist of gunslinger and lime)

The "vision" for the gunslinger alchemist is a pretty cool concept.
But I was thinking a Magus/gunslinger could get pretty sick (touch ac and touch ac spell combat...im seeing a little synergy here)

The Reason why the Gunslinger/Alchemist is human is for the extra feat.

anyone have any comments on the magus (weakest character concept) think he could get some decent use out of amateur gunslinger and exotic WP pepper box maybe be a human? or just a dip of gunslinger?

Anyone play a Rage Prophet through? Makes a character sheet really busy, with alot of whoo ha and stuff to mis, forget or get screwed up.


We added and inquisitor, so there will be 5.


Funny, I'm working on some fiction where one of the main characters is an alchemist/gunslinger, and another is an inquisitor.

I'm curious about the ideas with gunslinger and magus having synergy...what am I missing, as I don't see it at all...

Magus with deft shootist could be attacking everything with touch ACs and spell combat where he is getting two touch ACs a round and the "free hand for spell combat" is also the "free hand" needed for reloading the pistol.


I'm assuming you're talking pistol whip with spell combat then? Costs way to much grit in my opinion to use as a continous attack. I'm really hoping for an archtype for the magus to make a gunmage type character, but I'm highly doubting it. We'll more likely see some sort of arcane archer type prestigue class...which is ok too, just not as cool.


Yea I forgot about the light or one handed "melee" weapon... I just remembered light or one handed weapon..

Gun mage Archetype hmmm.... would take much to change that spell combat for him would it? Just one word "melee".

I think alchemist would make an awesome gun mage, swapping in and out stuff, because you could manage to get guns and bombs, that would be fun.


Alchemist could be interesting...instead of juicing yourself, you could pour extracts down the barrel of your gun and blast them at your enemies.

I'm not sure the ripple effect of just plane changing melee to ranged there, but it's something very much worth looking at in detail.
