Good morning (barely)! I just completed the last in a series of writing assignments, and now I can read over Doom Comes to Dustpawn in preparation for a store signing and GMing session.

I still hope to have a Friday monster this week.

A naked store signing would be bad for business.

beside it beeing a very sad day in FawtL, I still wish anyone in America a happy 4th of July

1 year ago we witnessed the fireworks in New York, the day before I had propossed to Sabine and in the evening we had met Freehold and Celestial Healer

Hi Taig,

will you not go to PaizoCon this year?

No, I couldn't afford the trip this year. I'm still going to GenCon, though.

He took the book from the shelf, its bound pages heavy in their limp leather covering. It fell open to the page he wanted; the parchment was stained with strange chemicals and - perhaps - tea around the margins.

Kiss me goodnight and say my prayers

Leave the light on at the top of the stairs
Tell me the names of the stars up in the sky
A tree taps on the window pane
That feeling smothers me again
Daddy is it true that we all have to die

At the top of the stairs
Is darkness

I closed my eyes and when I looked
Your name was in the memorial book
and what had become of all the things we planned
I accepted the commiserations
Of all your friends and your relations
But there's some things I still don't understand

You were so tall
How could you fall?

Some photographs of a summer's day
A little boy's lifetime away
Is all I've left of everything we've done
Like a pale moon in a sunny sky
Death gazes down as I pass by
To remind me that I'm but my father's son

I offer up to you
This tribute
I offer up to you
This tank park salute

Felt appropriate to post that song again.

Hi Ho Silver! Away!

"All the Vikings, apart from Thorvald, wear horned hats, just like real Vikings didn't. The costume department evidently got overexcited and added furry earmuffs, which do nothing to increase the historical accuracy of these Norsemen – nor, indeed, their dignity."

Oh wow, that's brilliant. Such an evocative image and brilliant stat's and background to match.

Thanks! I really liked how this one came together.

Ugh. Sick. Fever. Possible strep throat. Ugh. Somefawtl do something!

Bleh. I hope you feel better soon, Freehold.

Scarab Sages

Good morning FAWTLY Folk! Happy Friday! Or as happy as we can make it.

Got my new washer and dryer delivered today from Lowe's. They were scratch and dent models, with the price lowered appropriately. Now I can wash my own clothes!

And they came out to turn my gas on. So now I'll have hot water as well. Woot!!

Scarab Sages

Now I'm at Mr. Sticker getting my state inspection done. After that I'll have a bit of lunch, then work on getting my car registered and some Texas plates, then a driver's liscence.

Tomorrow, my POD is scheduled to arrive. Then I'll have more furniture, books, gaming supplies, etc.

And they're supposed to deliver my fridge. It should have been yesterday, but apparently they had stock issues.

Scarab Sages

Looking forward to being able to cook my own meals.

Scarab Sages

At some point, I've gotta get some Internet and TV for the house. Back in Philly I had Comcast, but I was never thrilled with them. Thinking I might go with the same one my brothers and parents have - they seem to like it.

Scarab Sages

All right folks. Time for me to log off for a bit. Later.

Did it work?

I'm just glad I remembered to add "cream" and "cone" - no-one deserves getting a smooth Vanilla Ice appear in their hands out of nowhere.

So... in that case it'd been a good thing it didn't work.

I may need to get something to eat, my brain feels funny...

You are a better citizen than I. I think it took me 9 months to get my car and license switched over.

I lived in California for 10 months and never switched my license and registration. That worked out well since I moved back to NY...

(It means I still have one of the stylish blue-and-white NY plates. If I had ditched it and then gotten a new one when I moved back, I would have one of the ugly gold-and-black ones.)

Afternoon, all. What did I miss?

I only had to work a half day today, so I spent a little time wandering around the Metropolitan Museum of Art. That place is nifty.

Just had the weirdest thing happen:

I was walking down the street a few blocks from the office, when I was confronted by a band of clowns in stilts. They were pretty cool, so when one of them extended a bowler hat to me I gave them some bills.

After that, one of the clowns makes a mortal jump and lands on his knees asking me "Watermellon or avocado?".

"Ehh... avocado?"

"Yes!"

Then they all start jumping and dancing.

I laughed and went on my way (I had a meeting nearby) and when I come out, I stumble upon the honking troupe again. This time, they were debating regarding wether a particular tree was or not an oak.

So a clown with two hats and a big moustache asks me what do I think.

"I think it's an oak. Look those are acorns. Yes, definitely an oak"

So the moustache clown starts laughing and jumping, the other clown (who was bald) puts on a pose that I can only describe as "Conquistador Witnessing His New Discovery", and everyone starts dancing around him.

Then they gave me an orange and started playing honking horns while jumping away.

Clowns!

Peace and condolences for your loss, Patrick.

Freehold, take care of yourself and start feeling better soon.

CH, nice photo of Central Park.

Taig, we went to the FLGS today and I found Doom Comes to Dustpawn and put it at the front of the Pathfinder Module section so everyone sees it. ;)

I hope everyone at PaizoCon is having a kraken good time!

It's a good thing you're not afraid of clowns, Klaus...
