I wake up cranky all the time, but can usually get her to go back to sleep.

Meh, I drink beer and mead. Sometimes harder stuff. But if someone else doesn't want to, I got no problems with that. I may joke around and give them a hard time, but never very seriously.

Did we have any non drinking FAWTLs at Paizocon? I don't think we gave them a hard time. Did we?

I don't think I give folks a hard time who don't share my vices and hobbies, but I would feel awful if I did. I don't think I'm troubled by someone not being into football or hunting any more than, say, them not being into gaming.

Stupid gestalt thread. As if I didn't have enough combinations that I absolutely needed to build because awesome.

But noooo, now I'm thinking about more and more.

Yeah a gentle ribbing and teasing among friends is fine. That's not the kind of thing that irritates me.

Frankly I have to wonder why I'm giving this much of a care about the opinions of people on the internet who I am never going to game with, never going to meet, and never going to have to deal with in person.

D'oh! Just realised the order I placed yesterday won't ship until March 25th. Sure, it's good to do things in good time, but... GAH!

And okay, it did include two pdfs - but even if I did like to read on the laptop, Ultimate Equipment is not exactly something I'd read for fun.

Ah well, back to adding Golarion cities to the database in my Football Manager game.

Wow!
She was dressed to kill too, but I could tell it was a struggle for her to find clothes. Her makeup was AWESOME, I should have told her as much.
I reckon it's a challenge to find a little black dress when one is 6'6".

Actually for someone 6'6" every dress will be rather on little side...

And I am back.

Successful birthday party: coming back home with backpack full of goodies!

I've got Twilight Imperium (well, honestly, the cunning friends guessed that giving me Twilight Imperium will mean that it will be I who will have to carry it to sessions...), plush cat (it's lovely) and an amount of sweets, chocolate and homemade cookies/muffins that would last for week... Which for me will mean around three days.

Also a very practical gift of a polar fleece blouse which I have worn for the whole party...

Actually, now I look on the all the sweets they might last four or even five days...

And I received invitation to a sushi bar for a Thursday of my choice. Which will probably be a next Thursday if the weather will be ok.

I was given one shot of cherry vodka, two or three cups of rum with cola, one serving of kamikaze drink (which in Poland is drink made of vodka, Curacao blue instead of Curacao triple sec and with lemon juice instead of lime). Mild buzzing reached but quickly passed. I haven't drank kamikaze for ages. It brings memories.

Sounds like you had a great time Drejk. Happy Birthday.

I wish my boss wasn't so g+&+%*n nice. Then it would be easier for me to tell her that I'm quitting. Anxiety FTW.

Not so good morning FAWTLY Folk! Been in the hospital since yesterday afternoon with the boy. He woke from his nap with a high fever and accelerated heartbeat. Tylenol and motrin have been taking care of his fever, and his heart rate has come down, but not far enough.

They ran some blood tests and didn't find anything bad. Thinking is that it's a virus.

They kept him overnight for observation. So this is where we've been as well.

Need some f#&#ing coffee.

At least they have Disney Channel on the TV. It's helping keep the boy distracted.

Actually he's taking this rather well, all things considered.

Marriage? Nah, I am far for wishing for that...

Also, thankfully I am not good material for a husband.

And while I've been adding Golarion-places to that database, I've also amused myself by translating the placenames that are in English to Swedish - turns out there's a place in the River Kingdoms called Lockridge, which in Swedish becomes "Låsås."

Made me smile, at least.

An another well wishes, get better soon.

My brother/Ebon's husband went into Urgent Care last night with a broken toe. Not nearly as scary as a kid with a high fever - though their little girl had one Friday, it passed and they're blaming it on the incoming teeth.

Hope Charlie gets better soon.

And @Treppa: >_< =(

"In teaching, being spontaneous is more important than planning."

I...may have swapped "DMing" in there, looked at my meticulous CoT notes, and mashed STRONGLY AGREE.

Oh yay, another one that says "Applicants are not to contact HR regarding potential employment."

You are aware that all the schools are saying "Call them! It shows initiative!"

I'm familiar with the practice, and it is indeed a load of crap.

Not just yeah.

HECK YES (been watching adventure time).

I have found that I must conform to my players like water conforms to a vessel. The "I'm the dm, sit down, shut up and march through this dungeon!!" approach does not work for me.

Definitely. And this is why I can't GM in a live setting. PBP is fine because I have that minute to take a breath and figure out what's next (cause who actually bothers planning? I mean really...) but in real life it's just too stressful. Even with a computer right there in front of me I'm too slow. I greatly respect those who can do it. It's an amazing skill.

I'm feeling old school today, dunno why.

To me, it's style, not skill. I can't do PBP to save my life as a player or as a DM because I can't sit down in front of the computer that long. PBP simply isn't my style. I need people around me to game with or be live if I'm going to be in front of a computer.

Mrgh. Still in the hospital. They're pretty sure he's got some kind of viral infection. Still getting high fever, but Motrin takes care of that. His heart rate is still higher than it should be, though.

They took X-ray of his chest to check his heart and lungs. And they want to give it until 24 hours after his first symptoms (which would be later tonight), to see if his blood culture shows anything new.

If nothing bad pops up from all that, they may let us take him home. I'm hoping that's the case because he really wants to go home.
