So far it's a quiet Friday morning. Just the way I like it.

Except for this Congressional data call.

Although, in truth, it's never very quiet when I'm around. Ask those folks who attended PaizoCon last summer with me.

Scarab Sages

Nekkid Congressional data call?!? Oh my!!!

Good news - it didn't ice over this morning.

Bad news - it didn't ice over this morning, so I had to go to work.

At least it's a paycheck.

See y'all 'round lunchtime FAWTLfolk.

Scarab Sages

Huzzah!

Scarab Sages

Hmmmm......my email seems to be stuck.

Scarab Sages

Time for more coffee!!!

Scarab Sages

Maybe I should just get an IV drip.....?

Scarab Sages

As part of our gov't energy conservation/money saving program here at work, they've shut off the heat today (or at least this morning). Thankfully, it's only 18 DegF outside. Not like it's cold or anything.

Scarab Sages

Next thing you know, they'll shut off our interne....*

Scarab Sages

Hmmm, methinks it's time for a good, old-fashioned, mini blitz.

Charlie's breakfast while we were watching cartoons this morning consisted of goldfish crackers and raisins. Breakfast of champions!

Scarab Sages

At least the goldfish crackers are baked.

Scarab Sages

He's been on a banana kick lately as well. I think he's eaten at least two each day this week - sometimes 3 or 4.

Scarab Sages

Mmmmm.....banana

Scarab Sages

Time to check and see if my email has unfrozen. We now pause for station identification.

Scarab Sages

Huzzah! I got through two emails before it froze again! We now resume your regularly unscheduled nonsense.

Scarab Sages

Yeerg! Argh!

Scarab Sages

Mrgh.

Scarab Sages

Mmmmm.....brainnnnssssss

Scarab Sages

Sometimes, it's hard to be me.

Other times, it's way to easy

Why is it, with either snail mail or email, we can never get away from junk mail. I swear, if humans ever evolve to where we can communicate mind to mind, some sonofab+$%@ will figure out a way to make money sending out junk thoughts.

Scarab Sages

I knew I'd start to get cranky if time continued to move forward.

Scarab Sages

Pelicans? Seriously?!? WTF??? I mean sure, they can do some damage to your windshield. But...seriously?!? WTF was someone smoking?

Scarab Sages

Three cups of coffee already. Debating whether to get some more, or switch to water.

Scarab Sages

I'm really not looking forward to driving home this evening. Or going over to my buddies house tonight.

Scarab Sages

But, it's better in the long run if I do drive, since otherwise the wife would have to. She's terrible driving at night. Well, she's terrible driving normally, but at night she's even worse. And it'll be snowing.

Sounds like a good idea, and yet...

Scarab Sages

It's a tricksey little hobbitses.

Scarab Sages

I....I...actually think I'm running out of things to post about this morning.

Scarab Sages

Ok, not really.

Scarab Sages

For those who watch Once Upon a Time - Jorge Garcia as the Giant. Awesome!

Scarab Sages

Man Of Steel figures give 1st good look at Zod's Kryptonian suit

Cool! I'm looking forward to this flick more and more.

Scarab Sages

Sadly, however, I continue to be terrified at the thought of a Justice League movie.

Scarab Sages

I mean, the Batman and Superman franchises have had a good deal of success on both the big screen and the small. But not much else.

Scarab Sages

I do still recall with some fondness the Flash tv show. Especially Mark Hamill as Trickster.

Scarab Sages

But if you've never seen the pilot for the Aquaman series they put out a few years back consider yourself lucky.

Scarab Sages

Of course, we must also give props to the old Wonder Woman tv show of long ago. Linda Carter was hot!

Scarab Sages

All right folks. I think that's enough blathering from me this morning. Time to go bug the s**+ out of some people.

Several different ones actually - my favourite is a French one called "Cidre Blonde," and there's one from Normandy I forget the name of right now. "Olde English" and "Strongbow" are pretty good as well.

I pretty much like any cider, as long as it's a proper one (made from, and tastes of, apples) and dry. Sweet ciders are basically just alcopops in a fancy suit, and I'm not a fan of the combination of sweet taste and alcohol - too cloying.

What are these other ciders like? Are they carbonated? Are they alcoholic?

As a fellow northeasterner, when I hear "cider" I too first think of the fresh, non-fermented variety produced by local orchards, served cold or hot-and-mulled. I don't think that particular beverage is all that common elsewhere, though, so "cider" tends to universally refer to the fermented alcoholic variety.

o.O

I have to remember to keep that link handy.

Morning, all. What did I miss?

Northeast is the best east!

... Okay that made little sense. I'm a little frazzled because my supervisor and I are butting heads again. It's too early in the am for this bs.
