Real life is like an RPG, but instead of Magic Points MP stands for Motivation Points, and they run out so incredibly fast.
Not really. I believe I have a large pool of motivation points. And generally what I want done, gets done.
Including getting dressed.

Because science.
The other problem I have with all these videos is. Your going back and adding science to something that when created didn't consider the science. The original author didn't look into the science to create the storm trooper armor or weapons they went with what looked cool and what they thought would work. Going back and explaining it in a way that sounds good doesn't change that the creator didn't consider that.
Frankly If the creators didn't consider it no matter what your theory is its hogwash.

I agree. But I find it entertaining sometimes.

I do like the ones that's more like: "This is how we could make it."
That has a purpose and the purpose is getting me a working light saber.

Why Ewoks are terrifying.
Alright I finished watching that one. It was funny fairly entertaining but once again its just bad writing and directing being covered up by fan theories.

I’m like Gran when it comes to movies. Most of the time I’ll not get up in arms(Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows was an exception). So pretty much for any Star Wars, LOTR movie debacles I’ll just mirror Gran going, ”Meh. I enjoyed it.”
Rogue One is definitely too dark for my taste, I did not watch Clone Wars series, nor Rebels. I read a bit of the expanded universe, didn’t like it, so I stopped.

It's your life force.
So kind of air and breath but more. That's kind of what I thought. I wrote a paper for my psychology of religion class comparing religion, spirituality to the force. It involved a religious philosophers whose name I can't remember describing all religions as roads that all lead to Rome (Rome being heaven or Valhalla or whatever sort of reward we get in the after life.). The idea was spirituality was really what you were after. That would somehow allow you to move on to a better place after. I went into how spirituality could be described similar to the force. a unseeable energy surrounding us etc.
I need to read up on that Jedi religion see if they have any of my theories in their.

I am a free thinker but I believe there’s a world out there that we can’t see. And somewhere out there something watches. I believe there’s a higher power, but what people choose to call it is really their own business, none of mine.
What I don’t like about mainstream religions is that many say if you make a donation to the *insert place of worship*/pray X times a day/do this XYZ ritual…you’ll go to heaven.
I don’t see how donating to a place of worship or praying/rituals helps the universe function as a whole.
I believe in karma and what you do comes back to you. But when, is a different story. Maybe not in this life, but the next.

Yeah pay to play religions are a scam. It makes me angry every time I see it in action.
I think belief in Karma helps us function really. just to know that thing will be balanced eventually. Gives us a since of fairness in our lives.

I can understand why religions have gatherings like church masses, prayer sessions. The idea is to promote community. It’s not a bad thing per se, since I’ve seen church members happily pitch in to help each other (i.e, moving house? Everyone pitches in to land a hand!). Buddhist lodges doing a massive funfair to raise funds for charity (yeah you really should go and try all the vegetarian stuff there).
And the tithing system – assuming that the people collecting tithes aren’t corrupt, can be used to help members in need – i.e, sole bread winner can’t work due to an accident – the church helps pay for their upkeep.
Unfortunately human nature is generally all too corruptible and what you end up is with this
And I’d believe that praying lowers blood pressure, since the act of praying, if done correctly should cut the anger feedback loop, so being less angry, your blood pressure should drop.

I don’t like the clerky part of mainstream religions (or at least what my mom has been trying to foist on me), that tells you that you can’t do this, you can’t do that, and those things don’t even benefit anyone.
I.e – you can’t put your underwear on the table, can’t bring beef into the house, on the fifteenth day of the month you need to be vegetarian (uh, any day is like the next right? If you want to be permanently vegetarian in the name of environmental conservation, I salute that and can understand), you have to pray once in the morning, once at night.

Holy cow that's a lot of money. I'm telling you greed and selfishness that's the real evil in the world today.
I've read and studied religion extensively and my mom dragged me to every church she could find. The big super churches I get it you want to draw people in but frankly the thing that I always felt would be the pull was seeing the church out and about doing good and clothing and feeding the homeless etc.

The psychology on the rituals in religion I think is there to bring more mindfulness to the religion. It makes you think about it more often. I guess the idea is the more someone thinks about it the more likely they are to follow its tenants better?
The thing that bugs me is people that are afraid to expose themselves to other religions (someone actually said this to me.) they are worried they might forsake there religion by tempting themselves with another. Which to me says you don't have enough faith in your own convictions and if something does sway you then maybe it should?

Vidmaster7 |

I'll crash any religious place if they've got free food =P Yeah, I'm a bum.
But sometimes going to places of worship opens you up to people sermonizing on you, which that part I don't really care for.
Yeah the whole hey there is a new person lets pile on em! makes me want to run away. coming on to strong people. back it up some.

There's a religion for jediism
This is particularly true with Buddhists, where Lucas himself has admitted that Star Wars was heavily influenced by eastern thought.
I believe the Jedi code was inspired by Buddhist teachings.
If Jedi were Space Musketeers, I'd be a heck of a lot more interested in Star Wars than I am.
Energy Rapiers would be neat, too.

Vidmaster7 wrote:How would energy rapiers be that much different? I mean count Dooku's was pretty close. You can use Weapon Finesse with them, their base damage is lower, and they crit more frequently.
Light sabers should already be pretty light I mean its in its name. You can make a narrower blade I guess but whats really the point?

A little dated but acceptable.

I'm kinda bummed out. I was planning to buy a new 3d printer next month, and the company I was going to buy it from (the company I got my first one from) just shut down. Now I gotta do research for a different one.
Out of curiosity, which cats are so fond of, what would you be using it for?

Was my birthday yesterday, exciting times. :D Kidlet and fiance had a doughnut cake waiting for me after work. :D Then played in a PbtA RPG over Discord/Google Hangouts with a couple friends of mine. Pretty good night. :)
Happy President's Day!
... Wait a minute, it's not President's Day... Merry birthday!

That just means you're the IRL equivalent of a spellcaster class.
