Well, that was quick...

I already got the money back before I even got up from the bed.

Parents went to see the car. It was ugly. Which didn't matter because the owner had only half of registration document for the car.

*waves* Hello. It's been a while since I actually posted here. Time to fix that.

Kidlet had his belt promotion at karate today. He is now a gold belt. :)

And I went to the farmers market. Got lots of yummy produce.

And later today there will be gaming. All in all, a good day.

Tonight is PIZZA night, a rare treat around here.

We go to a local place that serves up NY-style pizzas called Rocky's. The original cook & owner was an Italian immigrant who lived a decade or two in NYC before moving here. The place has been around since my folks moved here in 1976, and continues to have excellent food and better company.

I'm stoked. I've been craving their pizza for weeks.

I hope you enjoyed it! And I am glad the little one got to enjoy quality pizza!

Okay folks. I'm about to head out the door- I have Kingmaker Sunday today(rare, it's usually Kingmaker Saturday), and next Sunday and the Sunday after that are going to be for Darklight Sisterhood.

Things are getting real in the Kingmaker game today, and I'm going to have something tying this game to the Darklight Sisterhood game and the upcoming Iron Gods game. Here's hoping everything gets pulled off properly...

Good luck man. More so on the second, but definitely on both.

She will be back home on Saturday (and hopefully awake enough to play some Pathfinder at the con on Sunday).

She had a great time, and she really enjoyed Germany. I can imagine her wanting to go back on her own.

and of course you will acompany her and you both come and visit me
I gotta get a passport.
I second that motion! Tour Europe! We have history! And booze!
...as long as I don't have to go back to Paris.
Paris? Goodness no. There are Parisians there.

and food poisoning.

I despised Paris both times. I'm sure it has changed since the 80's when I went there, but my experience was consistent both times I went.

The city smelled like a urinal. The food was bad. The service was bad. The people were rude. The city was dirty and littered, and I got food poisoning not just once, but on both visits.

In contrast Venice was an open sewer when I visited. My first impression getting off of the bus and boarding the gondola was seeing piles of trash float by including used diapers and a used condom. However, Venice was able to overcome this God awful first impression with warm hospitality, terrific food and wine, and a very friendly population.

BTW, important safety tip: walking inside the Leaning Tower of Pizza with a raging wine hangover is pretty damn disorienting.

The gas station no longer sells bread or cheese, which means I can no longer buy all of my groceries there. I don't know what to do with myself now.

Leaving town tomorrow for a four-day landscaping job. I have >10 illustrations I need to do in the next couple weeks. Time to double-up on all of the stimulants I can get my hands on.

Had a great time running today's game. I really needed this. Things are proceeding apace in Kingmaker, and I didn't get to foreshadow much because the party was busy setting wrongs to right in Fort Drelev. Still, it was a day out, at a different player's house)and dice were rolled...it was awesome. I feel better inside.

Happy Monday Morning FaWtL! :D A beautiful start to another week, no sky fire in sight, and the loving, freezing embrace of the overcloud has my fair city firmly in its grip. Hope everyone is doing well, had a wonderful weekend and has a good day / week ahead. ^_^

A lovely weekend was had, kidlet being down for the duration, and having lots of fun.

Kids Stuff:
I feel like I'm turning into one of those Dad's on TV, who have a pile of photos in their wallet and show them off to everyone, only we're in a modern age, so I have a bunch of videos of him dancing to ads on TV or clapping along with cartoons on my phone instead. If I'm posting too much, just let me know to cool it.

That said, it was a really fun weekend, and the little dude is really coming along. I swear, every time I see him, he's become a little more like a big kid. This weekend's highlights include him starting to sing along with the theme song from his favourite shows (not actual words, he can't talk still, but he can hold a tune), imitating me counting (putting things in a row, pointing at them in order and making sounds similar to counting to four, regardless of the actual number of things), meowing whenever he sees a cat (he does a pretty good meow, to be fair) and an impromptu bird of prey exhibit (golden eagles are frakkin' huge). Best highlight of all? Not having to drop him back. ^_^ All things being equal, I have him until Sunday. \o/ On the plan this week, introducing him to one of my more mad friends, repeat visits from female friends, celebrating my birthday with him, and weekend visit from far away friends. With any luck, we can get his counting and singing down before sending him back home. I'm proud as punch of my little man. :3
