So, that recap.

Kingmaker, Session 2 (Players Not Allowed):
Having dealt with the bear as well as the spider during the end of the last session, the crew soon began to trek across the Greenbelt area with a wagon, mapping out one area after another while still building up the relations with the local fey and with some other people. Once they returned to Oleg's to restock they came across Jhod Kavken, who told the heroes about the temple of Erastil.

I don't feel like going to more detail this time, so I can just say that they got the entire map done with the exception of the Stag Lord's fort. They purified the ruins of Erastil's temple and cleaned up his statue as well, much to the approval of Jhod. While checking the Barbarian Cairn, the heroes ran into a druid named Alysa Megesen*, who happens to own an enigmatic pale elk named Volker that they had encountered a few times on their travels.

After a casual conversation with her, the heroes noticed that her cloak had the Unholy Symbol of Baphomet on the back. While they planned to give chase, she had already disappeared with her animal companion through the use of the Trackless Step ability, much to the annoyance of Sage Ravell, who seems to have a grudge of sorts against demons as he threatened an ally of the druid as he mistook the man for a follower of Baphomet. Deciding not to bother looking for her, they met the local kobolds and agreed to help them get a statue back from the mites after an unexpected encounter with the undead Davik Nettles.

* = I figured the bandit fort needed more women as well as some variance. Ayles was replaced by Alysa and made into a Holstaur Druid (formerly of Erastil but possible to redeem), while Topper Red is an Elf Bard and Jex the Snitch is a Halfling. What I hope to see is both Akiros and Alysa getting redeemed and teaming up with Jhod when it comes to the founding of the new kingdom, considering the fact that Kiriv the Ranger also worships Erastil. Of course, I have some other NPCs in mind for the future but I won't speak more about that here. Anyway, I hope these recaps aren't too long or confusing in any way. Then again, I probably worry too much.

Positive waves please for my uncle (the one whose son's wedding I was attending a few weeks ago). After a heart attack last week, he underwent quadruple bypass surgery today. Here is hoping for as strong a recovery as one could expect from such am ordeal.

It allows you to block certain websites during specified hours of the day so that you can more easily budget your time.

Very positive waves his way. It's not easy surgery, but people who have had it often feel better than they have in years once they recover.

Well, I have finally joined the class of Medicare recipients. Bummer! Getting older sucks!

That moment when you're talking with a friend on Facebook, you quote Star Wars, they completely miss the reference, and you realize just how old you are in comparison.

I'm still listening to SRW soundtracks while occasinally switching to the themes from Demons' Souls and Dark Souls.

Currently my favourite track from the first is Intellect of Darkness. It just has an evil and alien feel to it that fits the villain.

That theme is also helping me visualize a certain villain in my own works, an ancient deity of stars and evil based off a Japanese deity.

How do you get into university when you can't read a single list?

Who are you asking?

Seems to be a bit out of place.

Star Wars transcends age limitations. I think your friends are simply not as cool as you. :-)

Chaotic Awesome?

I have no idea, but as a player that encounter was a lot of fun.

I've started running Kingmaker twice and not got to that part.

In fact quite jealous that Icyshadow has got so far so quickly, well done.

Icyshadow wrote:

The world in general.

The guy who's replacing me while I'm having time off work for the next two weeks needed a lot of very simple things, including the list of newspapers to deliver, explained repeatedly.

I've already been DM for one entire Kingmaker AP, and our sessions tend to start at 02 PM and end around 09 PM.

Also, the red row-house with two kids playing in the snow is basically how most of us working-class kids in my generation lived when I grew up.

Well, no huge sci-fi towers, obviously.

Shamefully I admit that I have not played the games themselves. My knowledge stems mostly from two hot-blooded friends of mine who have played the games.

However, when I do get the chance, I'd probably try out one of them. Which console is SRW F for? How old is it? Is Soulgain or Ialdabaoth (they're both awesome!) in it?
