Especially with all those arrows in his ass.

It needs to not be 100 degrees.

It's 65 degrees here. Does that help?

Current temperature -- 60 degrees. We're needing to scrape off our car windows in the morning.

Ramen is pretty awesome. Way different from the crap that is the staple of a college diet.

Oh I have had it before I know the difference. Wagamama's in London was one of my favorites they have one in Boston too now.

Japan is certianly on my list of places I want to visit. Along with St. Petersburg Russia (top of the old list).

I have buy one meal get one free at Wagamama till the end of the month. I haven't been there for ages, I should go.

Given all the Avengers talk, a question for proper comic fans, what is the official line up of the Avengers? The current movie appears to have a different line up to the Saturday morning cartoon I am familiar with, and they’re probably both different from the comics.

My five year old son has tried to convince me that Spiderman, Wolverine and The Thing are all sometimes members of the Avengers, I’m not sure he’s right (but what do I know?)

If Joss Whedon is directing the Avengers movie, then we have a right to be nervous.

[Or chicken, I wasn't impressed with serenity and firefly.]

oh, if Stan Lee makes another one of his irrelevant cameo appearances, I will demand my money back.

At least in the case of the Fantastic Four wedding of Reed Richards and Susan Storm appearance it's semi-justified by canon, in that back in Fantastic Four annual #3 (or at least in the reprint of the strip I have :D), Stan Lee and Jack Kirby actually put themselves in the original wedding strip trying to attend...

I refer you to the following Wikipedia article, which whilst not perhaps absolutely authoritative should prove quite handy: *Link, list of Avengers members*

The original comic started with

Hulk, Thor, Ant Man, Wasp, and Iron Man in the sixties; the lineup changed in issue 2 as Hulk bailed.

Captain America came a few years later; he was frozen at the North Pole since world war II....
Vision, Scarlet Witch, Wonder Man, The Beast (from the original X men), Black Panther, Hawkeye; these are pretty typical members.
Oh,....and Ms. Marvel (schwing!!!).....until Rogue stole her powers in Avengers Annual Number 10.
Other than that, the Avengers' lineup has been historically a smorgasbord; kinda like DC comics' Justice League....there's a few mainstays (Superman/Batman/Wonderwoman/Martian Manhunter) then a smorgasbord of otherguys.

There was even an issue, Avengers 181, where the government decided to limit the number of Avengers to 10 or something because it would sometimes be a real mob of characters....

I think the movie may draw more from The Ultimates, which was Marvel's "Ultimate Universe" reboot of the Avengers, with Nick Fury Agent of SHIELD drawn like Sam L. Jackson.....not entirely sure though.

Thanks Charles and Heath. Wow, it’s a real mess then isn’t it? According to the Wikipedia list, the three characters my son mentioned have indeed been members at one stage or another – Kid: 1, Dad: 0.

I was in the Avengers for a while.
I fought The Equipment Boys singlehandedly, and saved comatose Captain America, Thor, The Lichtenstein Halberdier, and Dr. Strongb~~~@ from a fate worse than death.

I bailed though; there's no "I" in team.

I was in the Avengers too.

I could never get into Marvel or DC.... I liked 2000AD the best Slaine, Nemesis the Warlock, Strontium Dog and of course Judge Dread. Also kind of politicly incorrectly I liked the Air Ace, and Commando war comics.

If you can ever get your hands on it Slaine D20 Rpg kicks arse - especially with feats like Eyes Without Life, Sundered Heads, and Piles of Carcasses or feats that allow your Druid to build a wicker-man. Brutal and nasty RPG.

A lot of them but the core group are the ones who will show up in the movies.

The Exchange

of course my opinion of a core group would double the amount of characters in the movie.

You would have to name him in the old school Marvel way "The invincible I".

He could be a mentalist and be called 'The All-Seeing I"

Nope, all mentalists eventually turn evil. In our games at least. MUAHAHAHA!

Or, The Dotted I and his sidekick The Crossed T. :P

I like the "all seeing I". His secret ID should be a late night talk show host, named Johnny. He should also wear a very large Turban.

My first champions character was Mentalis and he never turned evil. Got to over 500 xp. He was running with the "big dogs."

Midterm one of three accomplished. Now I just have a project proposal that's due tomorrow and two more tests on Tuesday to study for. Just. Hah. So freakin stressed that I keep getting migraines. I really need to just de-stress for a bit. If I didn't have that stupid project proposal due I'd take the evening off and play Dragon Age 2. Instead I will be trying to figure out what I want to do for my term project in microbiology. Argh.

RPG Superstar 2012

For example, I'm certain he's mostly responsible for the new "badger" on the boards.

As awesome as Red Dwarf is / was, maybe they should just let it lie ... I don’t know, to me it was all a slow slide on a downwards slope after Series 6.
