So, everyone must be lost in the play tests or consoling Freehold.
Erects giant head statues of all my aliases along the FaWtL coastline.
Well, kind off...
Been mesmerized by the Boob-Plate thread.
Literally opened a bag of Pistachios to munch on while reading it.
And...
This "icing thread" on top of the play-test sub-forum cake has
left me with a single question.
Was I asleep when "Live and let live" died?
@TS: Been busy this weekend, I'll see if I can't give a quick bit of feedback on your newest D&D-ish class tomorrow. It looks interesting.

Because I haven't had a day without children, all to myself, in over a year, Whingey Wizzard took the kids to church, a park, and a birthday party today so I could rest.
So first I drove out to the beach with a recliner, coffee and a chorizo y papas burrito and read a whole book.
Then I went to Goodwill and bought two pairs of shoes. Then I went to the craft store and bought paint for the shoes. Now I am going home to sit on my deck with a pot of tea to start my new project.

Sounds relaxing.

I spent most of the day removing trees and shrubs from the center-line of my driveway that the previous owners planted. When we bought the place we thought it was a bunch of shrubs. After 3 years, well, those are cedar trees. And there were 4 of them planted within 1 foot of the driveway in a space only 2 feet wide. And another spot had two of them planted side-by-side, so that they grew into a single trunk, only 5 inches from the pavement.
I can barely move now.

*Gives Vanykyre a rub*
Use some tiger balm!*
*No tigers were harmed in the production of the said balm.

Last week I said that I was thinking of calling in sick on Saturday (yesterday, as I type this). I wound up doing so, but only because I actually got sick. I had been feeling guilty about it, but now that I've read through the pile of notes that were written over the last two days, I'm very very very VERY glad that I wasn't here.

Our auntie, Freda the alchemist, gave up on tiger balm. She double- and triple-checked her research, but always to no avail. The tiger balm neither blew anyone up nor turned them into tigers. They smelled pleasant while they stabbity-stabbed her though.
She should have been researching Tiger Bomb, instead. Or maybe Tiger Uppercut.

Doesn't everyone like the burning sensation?
But seriously, rubbing it now, for some ouch is better then being totally non functional the next day. I found out the hard way when I ignored my knee then I tried to break into a run from seating. It was like this sharp pain and my knee nearly didn't support me and I nearly fell over. Yep, you do not get things better by ignoring them. I was quite careful on the way I got up from being seated for the rest of the day.
And when I got back home, I went into pigeon pose to stretch out that knee.

The boot project is coming along nicely. I found a tall pair of brown leather boots with a row of buttons up each side, and I'm painting them like the Fourth Doctor's scarf. Which, thanks to the BBC making the knitting pattern public, is easy to do. I just figured each 8 row section of pattern could translate to 1 inch of boot shaft, so I taped out two 20-inch sections of the pattern, cleaned the previous finish of the boots (rubbing alcohol is a great solvent for leather finishes), and am applying the color in sections. So far, so good, and I feel pleased with how it's going.

*raises hand* That would be me. I don’t like the burning sensation. On account of it’s actually burning. I have hypermobile joints so I deal with frequent dislocations and subluxations (when the joint partially dislocated but doesn’t come completely out of socket), which hurts. Anyhow, first time I tried something like tiger balm I was sixteen or seventeen and recovering from a dislocated knee minus any medical attention because my parents would never take me to the doctor (but that’s another story). Anyhow, I was in a musical at the time so I needed to be able to dance in spite of the pain, so I got some store brand cream with similar ingredients to tiger balm. As soon as I put it on my skin turned bright red and started bubbling up with blisters. So not just a burning sensation. Actual burns. Tried a different name brand cream in my early twenties with similar results. So, yeah, I’ll just stick to using ice packs thanks! And Epsom salts. So much Epsom salts. :)
And pigeon pose is my favorite! But I have to be careful if I’m sleepy because I have been known to conk out while in that pose. And I’m not supposed to stay in it too long even though it’s comfortable because that increases the chance of my hip popping out of its socket. *shrug* That’s just how it goes.

Where is everybody? I am completely hangover free after a day spent drinking hangover cure, what is your excuse?
It’s early? Especially for west coast folks. Heck, I wouldn’t be up either if I hadn’t had to take the kidlet to school. Sitting in my car now in the parking lot in front of my apartment building drinking my coffee and trying to muster up the energy to go up the stairs...sad but true :P

i would gladly carry you upstairs if I could. Or would that exacerbate the problem with the joints?

Lol. Probably. I’m like one of those old dolls with the limbs held on by rubber bands, but the rubber bands are too stretchy ;P
But I did make it up those darn stairs! Whenever we do move, which won’t be soon because rents have gotten so high in the last few years we can’t afford anywhere else in town, I want a building with an elevator dammit! Or a first floor unit. That would be fine too. :)
