Trouser was normally a happy-go-lucky dog. He would chase tennis balls, play with other doggies, and eat his dinner without a fuss. He was a dog without a care. But on that fateful autumn afternoon, it was to be different. Trouser's owners were walking him along a trail at the park, when suddenly from out of the bushes jumped a man all dressed in black. He had white paint on his face, and was gesturing annoyingly at Trouser's masters. This strange person spoke not a word, but proceeded to pretend that he was trapped in a box and that he was pulling on a long rope. Seeing the sheer horror on his masters' faces, Trouser took it upon himself to rectify the situation. With a low growl he jumped and sank his teeth into this annoying pseudo clown's leg. Trouser immediately got a sickened look in his eyes and began to vomit wildly. He then dragged his tongue all over the ground in an effort to remove the man's foul essence from his mouth. For Trouser had learned that a mime is a terrible thing to taste.

Edit: I guess the dog is nekkid. Maybe the owners? I don't know.

The Long Dark Tea-Time of the Soul was a bit less odd.

It helps to understand the first book a bit to know that it was actually a failed plotline for Doctor Who, back when Adams was a writer for the show. When it didn't work out, he changed a few things and turned it into a novel instead.

The "thing", by the way, was a gutdragger lurcher. Really disgusting, indead. They attack with their own eviscerated entrails, trying to choke you with them and with their content. Yucks.

My players did well on all thethe mmodule but they wanted to experience some really threatening stuff and check if the module was really a killer. It is. The ability damage is high at all moments so they end getting to the last fights seriously debilitated.

My youngest player really loved her character so now I am thinking of a way to bring him back from the dead in a believable way so she doesn't lose it.

Hey, NH. I spoke to my brother earlier today. He approves of all my ideas about moving forward away from my dead Security career. But he recommends doing all simultaneously. Going to refurbish a "junker" tower to use as a test platform for my improvements to an obscure OS (MMURTL). Going to add support in the built-in debugger for floating point instructions.

Nah, it's okay. I think I've got enough spare parts to refurbish it. I think it was discarded simply because the former owner got a newer model. Here in PA, there's a recent law that electronics can't go into landfills. Once I make sure it works, I can definitely make good use of it. And, the OS is small enough to boot from a floppy.

critics have long since stopped being the voice of the people and have regressed into sad kids who couldnt get a job in the field so they complain loudly about those who did. The only critics worth the name passed away several years ago. With the internet and most of all you tube, anyone and 18 of their closest sock puppets friends can create a channel criticising things for clicks.
