Trouser was normally a happy-go-lucky dog. He would chase tennis balls, play with other doggies, and eat his dinner without a fuss. He was a dog without a care. But on that fateful autumn afternoon, it was to be different. Trouser's owners were walking him along a trail at the park, when suddenly from out of the bushes jumped a man all dressed in black. He had white paint on his face, and was gesturing annoyingly at Trouser's masters. This strange person spoke not a word, but proceeded to pretend that he was trapped in a box and that he was pulling on a long rope. Seeing the sheer horror on his masters' faces, Trouser took it upon himself to rectify the situation. With a low growl he jumped and sank his teeth into this annoying pseudo clown's leg. Trouser immediately got a sickened look in his eyes and began to vomit wildly. He then dragged his tongue all over the ground in an effort to remove the man's foul essence from his mouth. For Trouser had learned that a mime is a terrible thing to taste.
Edit: I guess the dog is nekkid. Maybe the owners? I don't know.

A chipmunk walked into a hardware store because he was redoing his bar. He asked the clerk where he could get one of those table tops that opens and shuts on a hinge. The clerk wasn't sure. So the chipmunk said, "Yeah, you know, like the kind those blue jays above me have". "Oh", said the clerk, "You mean closing counters of the bird kind!"

I knew this day would come...but every time it just seems so soon!

Here you need this stuff for your future bloody endeavours...
*Hands Kile a sacrificial dagger, a book titled "Necromancy for beginners", and a coupon for some Rent-a-Thugs redeemable at Mooks-R-Us*
Now it's time for you to strike out on your own...

They just grow into Dungeon Mastering so fast these days!
Hey, I am not that new at this!!!
I am already at advanced necromancy 101!And I am so evil that my tickets are all irredeemable too.
Anyway, it has been fun not to hold my hand or device ways for my characters to get through situations for once.

I especially like the old guy and the guy with the sniper rifle.

Wait, did I read this right? Schiff is in the Dirk Gently series?
Now I'm torn. I wasn't going to watch it because it was so badly miscast, and now I have to

I read the book. It was...odd. Even for Douglas Adams.

Honestly, I'd love to just form a group that's made of lovelies dressed as characters from RWBY.

Did you read both books?
The Long Dark Tea-Time of the Soul was a bit less odd.It helps to understand the first book a bit to know that it was actually a failed plotline for Doctor Who, back when Adams was a writer for the show. When it didn't work out, he changed a few things and turned it into a novel instead.

hey! I played that module! I managed to save her, first, but, yeah, that was a brutal thing.
Hope it's fun!

The "thing", by the way, was a gutdragger lurcher. Really disgusting, indead. They attack with their own eviscerated entrails, trying to choke you with them and with their content. Yucks.
My players did well on all thethe mmodule but they wanted to experience some really threatening stuff and check if the module was really a killer. It is. The ability damage is high at all moments so they end getting to the last fights seriously debilitated.
My youngest player really loved her character so now I am thinking of a way to bring him back from the dead in a believable way so she doesn't lose it.

I'd love to dress as Qrow, but I sadly lack the build for it... he's all wiry an' stuff, and I'm anything but.
Jean's outfit looks like way too much work, and my hair doesn't take dye.
Hmmm.
Would wearing a bear costume work?

MMM... The second book was even weirder, but the first book was also weird, but I thought it was clever, and well written.

On Rotten Tomatoes, "The Emoji Movie" is, unsurprisingly, at 0% among the critics who have reviewed it so far. (Only 12, so it doesn't have an 'official' score yet.)
And yet the user survey indicates that 62% of Rotten Tomatoes users plan on seeing it. WTF, people?

I... I don't... I can't... O.O
They're all thirteen and under.
Both my kids would sell me in a minute to go see it.
Or at least parts of me.

Well, okay, I at least kind of can... but not really.

Hey, NH. I spoke to my brother earlier today. He approves of all my ideas about moving forward away from my dead Security career. But he recommends doing all simultaneously. Going to refurbish a "junker" tower to use as a test platform for my improvements to an obscure OS (MMURTL). Going to add support in the built-in debugger for floating point instructions.

Awesome! Keep us informed as to how it goes!
I'd offer you some hardware to play with, but a certain person *cough* *cough* Hi's player *cough* *cough* took it all off my hands.

Nah, it's okay. I think I've got enough spare parts to refurbish it. I think it was discarded simply because the former owner got a newer model. Here in PA, there's a recent law that electronics can't go into landfills. Once I make sure it works, I can definitely make good use of it. And, the OS is small enough to boot from a floppy.

And here we go:
NobodysHome: So I need a quick "measure of awfulness" here, and you're just the man for the job:
- Do you have any plans to see the Emoji movie?
- If not, and if someone offered to pay your way, would you go see it?
Shiro's Player: Oooh, that's an interesting question...
One sec.
Ok, so... it "might" be ok. The previews look like it's a total current / pop / internet meme sorta movie. And it doesn't look "good".
I'd see if it someone paid. LOL But then again, you are asking ME.
NobodysHome: OK. Just checking. There was a review linked in Google News, so I went over to RottenTomatoes and it's at a solid 0%. But only 12 reviews are in because it opens tomorrow and they haven't let critics review it yet.
Shiro's Player: And that is the reason I'd see it. LOL I've only seen a 4% before... it would be the lowest ever!
-----
So apparently Shiro's player would see it just to set a "record of badness" for himself.
That's pretty low.

There's a poster for that film on a bus-stop I travel past when going to work which features a smiling poo wearing a bow tie. I think that probably sums it up quite well.

critics have long since stopped being the voice of the people and have regressed into sad kids who couldnt get a job in the field so they complain loudly about those who did. The only critics worth the name passed away several years ago. With the internet and most of all you tube, anyone and 18 of their closest sock puppets friends can create a channel criticising things for clicks.
