... IIIIIIIIII did not expect them to pull that off.

So he's basically like Dwight, but with a more affable mien.

That's... impressive. Well done, show. Hm.

If I had to stat these guys out, I'd put Dwight at ~9 Wis and Cha; I'd put Michael at ~9 Wis and 13 Cha. I think that Dwight and Michael have Profession (sales) at maximum ranks, possibly with a skill focus feat, and Michael possibly has one or two in Diplomacy or Sense Motive. I'd say they have something between 9-13 intelligence (Michael probably lower, Dwight probably higher). Michael definitely has ranks in Bluff, and likes to fake Perform (comedy), even though he doesn't actually have ranks*.

That said, Dwight totally took 20 on his Perform (oratory) check (with everything that entails), while Michael rolled low on the same; plus Dwight received two Aid Another checks, both of which were successful (in their own way) - one from Jim, and one from Michael. It's just that Michael's was successful by being super-boring, so that by the time Dwight gave his, they were primed for something dramatic and passionate.

Jim probably has ~11-13 in Int, Wis, and Cha... and, like one rank in Profession, and a couple in various social-skills (and also in Basketball).

I'd peg Pam as similar, but with zero ranks in Bluff (or she has them, but just doesn't use them except for very personal reasons).

All of them are some shade of neutral who really want to be good, but... aren't. Not really.

(Note: I'm separating being "good" from being "correct" - you can be a good person, and be wrong.)

Why am I bothering statting this out? Because I'm ill, bored, and exhausted.

Anyway, I think they're interesting, and Season 2 is actually really good, over-all, so far. I'm led to believe that Seasons 2 and 3 are the best. I can see that.

* The character doesn't have ranks; clearly, the actor does.**
** Figuratively speaking, of course, as skill-ranks don't quite work that way in real life (as no one actually has them). XD

Just wait until they send Dwight and Jim out on a sales call. Great episode!

Not with the weather we're having! This is gonna be my look for a while. :-)

Season four is also really good, especially when Michael has a dinner party.

Tiny T-Rex and Pea Bear looking through his Valentine's day loot. Pea Bear picks up a felt Halloween top hat he won as a prize and says "oh, it's a top hat!" Tiny T-Rex grabs it and pulls it down over his face "no, it's a face catcher!"

Got in the first couple of episodes of Cowboy Bebop last night. Enjoying it so far...
...trouble is, my free time is so rare I think that'll be my "one hour of TV in February".

Maybe I'll get to episodes 3 and 4 in March...

Yesterday was such an awesome stereotype in terms of the weather: I've put off working on my garage, not only because of laziness, but because there's no space to properly cut the plywood in the garage proper (we're talking an 18'x8'6" room that has a bed, two dressers, a shop vac, a ladder, an air compressor, two sawhorses, and all the plywood, drywall, and insulation for the entire project all stuffed inside of it).

So I've been waiting it to stop raining.

Wish granted! Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday were all sunny and warm. So I decided I need to get off my butt and get back to work, so yesterday during my lunch break I opened up the garage door, moved the sawhorses to the driveway... and it started raining on me.

I sighed, put the sawhorses back in the garage, grabbed the shopping bags, and headed for the corner store instead.

I hadn't gone 50 yards before the rain stopped, and it didn't rain at all for the rest of the day.

*SIGH*

But you know darned well that if I'd tried to put the sawhorses back out it would have started raining on me again. The universe is like that.

And as a final note before I start a "real" day of work, I started reading Strange Aeons last night, and OMG I am SOOOOO proud of the Paizo staff for paying adequate homage to Call of Cthulu (recall that Shiro's player runs CoC games at cons, and usually has players thanking him profusely for running such "awesome games" where the whole party dies).

Major Strange Aeons Spoiler. Seriously, don't read this if you're going to play in it:

Starting the game with a TPK against the Book 1 BBEG, only to have you wake up from THAT nightmare locked in an insane asylum with no memory of who or what you are?

Now THAT'S Call of Cthulu!

Indeed, it's warm today.

12-13 degrees (that's... *google* around 55 degree for you people on the wrong side of the world)...

I went for a walk, though again I haven't paid one insurance bill because there was queue and I wasn't feeling like sitting in one, especially that I might again end delaying closing of their bureau because it was not long before closing time.

Since CBBB is one of my personal favorites, I won't spoil the end of the series except to say that you will either be in tears, or cheering, if not both.

My morning so far.

Walk Pea Bear to school.
Get Tiny T-Rex ready for school.
Take Tiny T-Rex to school.
Drop off donations at Vinnies on the east side.
Drive home through Isthmus traffic exacerbated by it also being garbage pick up day.
Drop the General off at work (who had a terrible migraine in the morning).
Take the dog for his walk.
Drop off Pea Bear's sparkling water that she'd forgotten at home.

And we're all caught up, now it's me time.

...Oh right, the dishes...

Man, it has been SOOOOO long that I've been between projects that I've forgotten how nice it is.

Yesterday was a bunch of, "This came up, deal with it!" stuff, so I ended up busy all day.

But today it's only 10:40 am and I had to tell my manager, "Yeah, I'm tapped out on stuff to do. I can start studying the next release, but that's not coming out for at least a few months. So I figure I'll do that and maybe take an early day."

And she responded, "Yeah, that's fine. You and I both know that all h*** is going to break loose next week, and you KNOW you're going to be doing all the debugging for four separate classes, so if you want to take off early today, that's just not a problem."

Nice to have a relaxing day, even if it's because both me and my manager know how bad next week will be...

Objectively untrue. I frequently follow up with an evil laugh, and then get immediately to work determining the best way to set the nearest orphanage on fire while robbing at least one old lady of her social security check.

You don't want me hatching schemes against orphanages before my morning coffee.

Everyone will end up with teddy bears and donuts (I'm what's commonly referred to as a "morning person").

So, I got Skyrim Legendary Edition.

I'll probably die a lot, on account of, that's what I do in Skyrim.

I'd like to say, I'll take some of them with me, but that's definitely not what I do in Skyrim.

Smeared against a cliff, or discarded in some nameless stream in some shit hole dungeon. That's how I roll!

Have you managed to hurl a bear off a bridge just by shouting at it yet?

I bet you have.

I have.

The wife and I got our hands on a second hand PS3, plus a bunch of games. One of those games is Skyrim, so I will finally know what all the fuss is about. But first I'll be playing all three Dragon Ages, as that was the whole point of the purchase.

Give me...like, five years.

...before the release of our test image Tuesday morning, at which point I'll be troubleshooting for half a dozen testers on half a dozen classes as well as testing my own class.
