Or were you after pictures of Egyptian monuments and accidentally put in 'odalisques' instead of 'obelisks' ?
I died laughing. It took major work to bring me back.

REv! Yay! He's awesome! I got a bunch of commissions from him.
I don't know the name of the artist for the other one but it's good too. They're both awesome, and you should read them.

If anything, it makes me want to work more. They're mostly having heart attacks because they aren't doing it enough or they're pushing themselves too hard. I mean, obviously there's more to it then that. But there's a smart way to shovel and other ways.
The first thing I tell every new person (usually a few hours before they quit) "it's a marathon, not a race"

That second one had me DYING of laughter.

I would add to that.
The bulk of the year is *training* for a marathon. And then during certain holiday points/kids not in school times, it becomes a marathon, and then it's back to training for one.
Definitely not a sprint.

I love the first day for newbies.
They're all gung ho, jump out of the truck, shovel or snowblow with gusto. For the first five or six hours, then they're exhausted and can barely keep their eyes open in the truck between stops asking if we're almost done. And I'm like "oh no, now we begin the residentials"

At 3 am I'm usually too tired to do much of anything except sleep. My Security shift ends at midnight, and it takes an hour for me to get home (2 buses). My post involves security patrols of a five level garage, at one patrol an hour, for either eleven or seven hours a day. And yes, Pittsburgh does have 24-hour supermarkets, one of which I pass going both to and from work.

Aaaaaand... it begins anew!
After a nearly-5-year hiatus, and after sending out an overall "retiring as a GM" announcement, I'm stuck in the saddle again for the family. Thanks a lot, lisamarlene!
Of course, I was very clear to the family that I'm not going to spend any time on this at all. We're going to run Strange Aeons, and my entire time commitment away from the table will be to read the section they're starting just ahead of time.
It's worked well for Shiro's player running Wrath of the Righteous, and his players are having a blast, so we'll see how, "No prep, ad lib everything" works...
But technically that's 4 "live" campaigns I'm running at once, plus playing in a fifth.
What a mess!

For our "Piradtical!" game. My wife's character recruited two Ottomon noble women in the Portugese city of Casablanca for reasons that are too complex to get into now.
(*cough*, GM random roll, *cough*)
Naturally, she wondered what they looked like. Cue beginning a really long and boring search.

Glad you're feeling better, GTG! With some meds, the cure is almost as bad as the poison -- especially those that alter brain chemistry. :/
How do you like L5R btw? I saw it at a thrift store over the weekend -- this one has a great rpg section! -- and I almost picked it up if only to give it a read.

Episode 2 of The Office is... really uncomfortable.
I know it's supposed to be heavily satirical comedy, but... it's just so successfully offensive.
I thought the first one was kind of funny, but... hm.
In related news, The 100 is pretty good.
It's pretty good, though. I like it.

Tacticslion |

I don't remember the first season of the office...
Episode two was about a racist thing done in episode one, but was mostly comprised of the boss doing more racist things.
Blech.
It had a mildly interesting subplot, though. Episodes three and four are not terrible, so far, though.

So can someone re-link that list of great anime series? I don't feel like digging through 100 pages of FaWtL to find it, but oh geez our Friday night TV fest was awful!
We've watched and luuuurved:
We've watched and enjoyed:
We've watched and tolerated:
We've turned off after a few episodes:
We didn't make it past episode 1:
Hopefully someone with a far vaster knowledge than I will say, "Aha! I see what the 'luuurved' series had in common! You need to watch THIS!"
Thank you for your support. :-P
EDIT: On the bright side, dinner of seared and roasted tri-tip, salt-crusted red potatoes, garlic bread, and a huge salad was quite the hit...

I started watching it with season two. It gets better (and then worse, but that's not until season seven or so).

We've watched and luuuurved:
One Punch Man
Seven Deadly Sins
RWBY
Sword Art Online, Season 1. No other SAO exists, in our minds
We've watched and enjoyed:
Soul Eater
Blue Exorcist
.......
Can't help you with the link, sorry (I've only recently started lurking around this thread). Speaking as someone who has watched and enjoyed many of the anime higher up on your list, here's a few other things I enjoyed:
Log Horizon is similar to SAO, except rather than trying to escape the game world, they're trying to organize and civilize all the random players who now live in the game world. Also, no permadeath. (That was a really bad description, but close enough. Worth watching).
D. Grey-man is good. It's about combat exorcists and stuff like that. D.Grey-man is on the longer side, but I personally enjoyed it enough to watch all of it. The original show has 103 episodes, and then it got canceled for a few years, but recently the show has been picked up where they left off with D.Grey-man Hallow (which is currently in progress).
Other shows include Code Geass (a strategy/war/mecha anime that was exceedingly good. One way of thinking about it is as Death Note x Mobile Suit Gundam) and Angel Beats (which has pretty much nothing in common with the other shows on your list, but it was good anyway).

Welcome, NewXToa!
I wanted to mention, NH, that Kill la Kill is, much like Gurren Lagan a series you have to invest in the insanity with, though I feel the former gets off to a slower start (but with better music) than the latter.
I will also note that everything - including that almost-poor-quality-animation is secretly pretty intentional and working on creating its setting and tone and world.
You certainly don't have to like it, but I mostly watched it in confusion until episode 4 (or so? I no longer recall) at which point I switched to strong interest. (Though the battles were pretty great.)
It relies on patently nonsensical and impossible feats - even considered so in-world - to function, and the plot is effectively a very bizarre (but exceedingly internally coherent) well-planned... thing. The first episode had an intriguing mystery, but the rest was meh. I found it getting better the more I watched.
(This is not to say that you should watch it. Some parts are actually kind of difficult to see, in my opinion, and my wife isn't enjoying the subtitle-only experience very much. 'Course we haven't gotten to the "good" part, yet, but oh well.)
((Freehold: she reads all day, as an English teacher; she maintains that she's uninterested in reading small, swift-changing, blurry text after a long day of doing the same already.))
