So went to a concert/folk-metal festival tonight (the first of two days). Saw Northern Oak a brilliant band, great flutes and a few great riffs.
Followed by Mael Mordha - worth the price of the entire weekend, they were amazing, even better than the last festival I went to. 'Alice of Abegwveny' is an amazing song. And the lead singer rushing into the crowd a couple of times was fun.
The night was finished of with Kull, featuring most of the members of Bal Saggoth, in the bands first ever performance. The played a few of Bal Saggoths' hit and I was really warming to them when the club owners pulled the plug. It seems they had to let in some clubbers to get drunk and fall over. So annoying....

On a lighter note. Overheard in Bathroom:
"Oh that's a big horn you have."
"That's bigger than my horn. I show it tomorrow."

While there were initial plans for Relic, we finished with two games of Chaos In The Old World. First winner was Nurgle and then Slaanesh. Played by the same player.

Oh man the party is going into the sewers next week it's going to be horrible and awesome.

I wonder if I manage to make some campaign mid-end session to my Forgotten Realms Pathfinder game before I travel after work.

good morning FaWtL,
the Reeperbahn is not my cup of tea.
you have prostitutes at every corner, they call at you, try to grap you, and they don't give up, they follow you, try to touch you, it is really very uncomfortable
then there is the Herbertstraße, the prostitutes sit on display in shop windows and call and hoot at you.
we found a not to sleasy Irish Pub with very good music but you had to be very carefull not to drink to much because you had to walk back through the prostitutes

I have explored the fabled cookbook store. Their inventory is incredible, although their prices are high. Still a fun spot.

:D

So, here's that long overdue recap.

Kingmaker RRR Spoilers:
Last time we had left the players, they had been hearing this and that about recent events around the barony itself while also building it up a bit, all from fey bickering with lumberjacks to gnomes making some kind of expedition down the riverside to the south.

Just a day later, an invitation arrives from Daggermark, informing the players of the Outlaw Council being held soon. The reason why the message was sent to them was due to rumours of the founders wishing for independence instead of merely serving as vassals for Brevoy. Deciding that they have some time to help the locals before going, they set out to the west. Talking Corax down was easy enough, but they had to go fetch the Feather Tokens from Tiressia.

On the way to greet the dryad, they came across the expedition of Jubilost Narthopple, who's wagon had been sabotaged by the last remaining mites of the area (who had all gotten themselves killed in the attack). The players quickly rescue them, and even the normally belligerent Jubilost warms up to them a bit, deciding to give the barons some news about their findings as well as offer to sell some maps he had made of the southern area. The heroes then carried on.

When they arrived at the dryad's grove, she was nowhere in sight. Falchos was sitting nearby with a wound on his side, playing a somber tune. The players decided to patch him up, and he told them that his loved one is mourning their losses as the scythe tree down south (which had eaten a few of Jubilost's troops as well) has ravaged the land and is coming for her next. He also mentioned an older brother who had gone missing ages ago, and of how he would have struck the tree down with one good swing of an axe. The heroes ask the healed up satyr to help lure the tree in, so they can ambush it and kill it, to which he agrees.

As the scythe tree arrives, the heroes attack with fire and lightning. Much to his chagrin, Sage had underestimated his foe and taken a risky position, leaving him open to the tree's sharp branches. It took one critical hit and one normal strike to kill Sage on the spot, but the monster died in the onslaught that the other player characters followed up with. Thinking quickly, Tiressia and Falchos proceed to cast Reincarnate on Sage, bringing him back as a bugbear of all things. As baron Ravell awakens, he feels something is clearly wrong as his hands are clawed and his senses are much sharper all of a sudden, especially his sense of smell.

After the initial shock, Sage decided that he will need to make arrangements. The situation had to be explained to the people somehow, after all. Once they had bid farewell to Tiressia and Falchos, they headed over to fix the situation with Corax and Melianse, replacing the lost trees and directing the lumberjacks to a better place for gathering lumber. They then departed to attend the Outlaw Council, where Martro Livondar and the other River Kingdom leaders decided to take turns asking about this little nation of theirs. After this, the heroes returned to their barony, finding out that a werewolf was on the loose after inspecting a bloody crime scene.

It didn't take them long to find Kundal and capture him, but the problem was that they didn't have any Wolfsbane. Hearing that the Old Beldame might have some, the players decide to visit her and ask for the cure. She decided to make a trade with the heroes; they bring her the mushrooms she needed, and she'll give them the wolfsbane. She mentions had a boat near the Candlemere Lake that they could use, which Jubilost's gnomes had abandoned after they had tried to check what was up with Candlemere Tower. They take the boat after running into some worgs who were NOT loyal to Hargulka (led by a worg named Bloodclaw), and rather easily kill the tendriculous guarding the shrooms when they get to it. After they get the wolfsbane and cure Kundal, they had a bit of a dilemma with regards to what to do with him. They decided to simply tell the public that the problem has been solved, and let Kundal be. The barbarian chose to stay and try his best to make amends.

Yeah, this went into being a really long recap. It'll be interesting to see how Hargulka will react to Sage's transformation (probably not well), and to the partial disloyalty of the worgs. Speaking of them, I made Howl of the North Wind into a Winter Wolf, which might just make him even more badass.

Well, Scott returned after 3 or 4 days away, calmly attributing his disappearance to "work, and definitely not having been kidnapped by aliens". Meanwhile, Mike received the perfect Halloween costume from his good friend Joe. And, across town, Max's exploration of the fabled.....No, wait! That's my soap opera!

So, yeah, this week was big "c" Crazy! Wife was away for a few days. Work was super busy. I ran a Kingmaker session. And I've been kind of working on some last minute Wayfinder entries.

And I'm planning to brew some mead tomorrow.

But, for now, it's time to go give the boy a bath and get him tucked away in bed. Then maybe I can watch the season premier of NCIS that I've had DVR'd since Tuesday.

Hmm...change the "mu" to "µ", then you have one millionth of a bike. That would make riding it all the more impressive.

Yep, the second annual Warhorns Festival

Black Messiah, headlined and were very catchy.
Fiorrgyn - German band, very good. My friend got a signed set list & CD.
Old Corpse Road - brilliant doom-y metal. Much better performance than last year.
Maelstrom - looked like a bunch of Indy guys with shirts & ties. However they played some great death metal.

There were a few bands that weren't my style like Mekkwarrior & Infernal creation, but it was a lovely day.

*Yawn* to you all.

Good morning FAWTLY Folk! Happy Sunday! Got a busy day ahead: Grocery shopping, clothes washing, maybe trimming some bushes, starting a batch of mead....

....I might even try to find some time and inspiration to do a bit more Wayfinder stuff. Of course, seeing the deadline is tomorrow I don't think I'll make it.

Also, this:

If heaven ain't a lot like Dixie
I don't wanna go
If heaven ain't a lot like Dixie
I'd just as soon stay home
If they don't have a Grand Ole Opry
Like they do in Tennessee
Just send me to hell or New York City
It would be about the same to me

Scarab Sages

heard that song the other day and it made me laugh.

Scarab Sages

All right my brethren. I must away!
