wait critically acclaimed or just acclaimed

Either works for me, just so long as I can stamp my name somewhere in history (or on Wikipedia at the very least) before I die! :D

I got a tweet into the Guardian's live-coverage of yesterday's World Cup qualifiers... would that count?

It even had my picture!

I need something more permanent, I'd figure. I want to rub it in my family's face that I'd surpass all of them after having been the black sheep since I was born. Then again, I'm already in the credits of a few games and my face is going to be in Shovel Knight, if anyone has heard of that game or the Kickstarter for it that was going on a few months back. Anyway, work's ending soon so I'll have to drop off for a few hours. Thanks for cheering me up earlier, you awesome people! :D

Meh. Cold. No sugar for more tea. Still raining. Yuck.

don't say that. I need today to be fawsome for all mankind.
turns the Day Attitude Adjuster Machine past craptacular, all the way down to Whedon is the World's Hero level

allow me...

turns up Day Attitude Adjuster Machine all the way up to Spontaneous Orgasms For All! Level

There is no way this wouldn't get horribly uncomfortable and awkward no matter how you present it.

but status meetings just became 20% more interesting!

Sad part is that most people know who Gavrilo Princip was. Note, I do not recommend that particular route to fame.

hi everyone

Sovereign Court

Yeah, just get something into that new "literature" section in Barnes & Noble:

Teen Paranormal Romance

Or '50 Shades of Grey' style books.

I've had that idea for years. Although my idea was a foil with two small protrusions on the end to form the stun arc and the electronics concealed in the bell guard.

if you are being stabbed or sliced by a sword I would think being tazed is sort of the least of your worries

this is sort of like putting a tranquilizer compound on machine gun bullets

Ecofriendly nukes! No asbestos was used during construction of this warhead!

I could have sworn I saw something like this in the ideon series....

I am sure it is far from original, I just had never seen it before. I thought of it as a way for fencers to be absolutely sure that they were hit. As I knew a couple of guys who would sometimes make as if it did not contact.

Fencer 1: aggggghhhhh

Fencer 2: I got you!

Fencer 1: ...no...no...you didn't...I just...have a...cramp...yeah, that's it...

cheaters gonna cheat

Veered to avoid hitting a hare and ended up banging my chin, left knee and wrist and needing new frames for my glasses.

...Yay for ending my vacation in style...

The right shoulder joint is a bit sore as well.

Mind you, I'm not complaining - I hit the ground with my head at some 35 km/h without any protection and haven't even got a concussion. Not even a headache!

Got the job and a pretty decent wage, and it looks like a decent company. So all is well.

Does that mean that I am left as notoriously unemployed?

Spoiler:
I did managed to earn a bit last weekend. And by doing something I like. If only I got three such orders a week it would be great. Alas, there is little chance for such demand on my skills...

Scarab Sages

Mrgh.

I'm still unemployed, thought Puffin had an interview yesterday.

Something good at least - seems my temp mistook the day I came back and had already started the round by the time I'd gotten back, so I got to go home and rest my wrist.

And good luck with the job hunt Treppa and Puffin.

Congratulations Jeremy on the new job!

good luck to all FaWtLies looking for jobs!

I've skipped the past few pages simply to say...

I'm beyond tired.

I hate getting up at Ungodly O'clock.

And the baby won't go to sleep so that *I* can go to sleep.

I got yet another Kingmaker idea.

Spoilers concerning Sound of a Thousand Screams:
I noticed that the Horned Hunter has little to no story to him, which I frankly find kind of disappointing considering he and Falchos seem to be the only satyrs around. So what I decided to do was build him as a character a bit more, giving him the name Ascalon and making him the lost brother of Falchos. Now since Nyrissa lost her ability to love, I reckoned I could make her story a bit more tragic since I overlooked that fact a bit during the last campaign. So, here I figured that while she is Chaotic Evil during the campaign, she was much closer to being Chaotic Good back when she fooled around with the Eldest despite the slightly arrogant antics that got her in so much trouble in the first place.

During this whole time, Ascalon had lived by Nyrissa's side, and the two were pretty close to one another even when the nymph was one of the Eldest. He got to see his loved one lose her ability to love anyone in return, and with that also went her sanity. The things she does to win back her favor with the Eldest is something he finds necessary, even though he is not happy with the unicorn (who I named Bairrfhionn, which is an Irish name) being killed nor with getting innocent people involved. Unlike the Stag Lord or Irovetti, Ascalon has a sincere love for Nyrissa that stems from how he used to see her. He wants to get Briar (which in his opinion belongs to Nyrissa and not to the heroes) back so he could restore her to the person she once was.

The first encounter with the Horned Hunter will probably go as written in the book, though I'll have him retreat before he can get killed. I'll let the players know of what happened to Nyrissa via Briar (as well as key NPCs in the area), and once the players know what had happened, I'll let them venture on till they arrive at the entrance to The House at the Edge of Time, where Ascalon the Horned Hunter stands guard. He'll tell the heroes to give back the sword they stole, and call them out on their insistance of tormenting a woman already broken by the whims of the fey gods as well as by her miserable luck. He'll make his last stand there, fighting (and dying) for his loved one against the people who have stolen the only cure the woman has left.

Whoop, trying to come up with a PF game idea. Though my first player has come back to me: His level 2 PC is Aristocrat1/Paladin/1 then he'll multi-class into Cleric....

Had some lovely cheese fondue & French films last night. Which was alot of fun.

And tonight we finish our campaign and it'll possibly the last ever time I play the system. So lots of ambivalent feelings.

My main inspiration for that idea above would be the encounter with Maiden Astraea and Garl Vinland in Demons' Souls.

That's a really nice idea, especially if the players manage to investigate it more thoroughly.
