quick question

now i rarely dm but i wonder from a player perspective would the beastiary 2 be worth it? are there many new races familiars or animal companions? im real hesitant on this purchase. thanks in advance guys/gals

There are several new 0 HD races in the book, as well as a few more animal companions/mounts that were missing in the first Bestiary for space reasons. If you like playing non-standard races, I'd pick this up just for the new planar races and the dhampir alone.

im not quite sure what you mean by planar races since some races are hard to get approval by the dm. but i do love monster races and other unorthodox player choices so that may be enough to get me to buy it

Since the term "Genasi" is WotC IP, they're "Planar Races" in PFRPG. You've got the four elemental races formerly known as Genasi, plane of Shadow, and IIRC, Law and Chaos plane humanoids.

yeah i figured that out once i got it, im not seeing any law or chaos races though. no worries it was a great buy
