I know that these suggestions will not be to everyone's taste, and please excuse me posting so much on this forum but I'm currently compiling a discussion document for my next campaign which is necessitating me kicking around a lot of ideas, but anyway I want to introduce two new spells:
The first, Obfuscate, is simply the opposite of Identify, in that it adds 10 to the DC of the spellcraft check needed to identify an item. Possibly just a 1st level spell, maybe permanent, maybe with a material component, to be used as a first line of defense against anyone either using your own magic items against you or to protect magical tricks / traps in your domain (against which I'm not sure if detect magic / identify works - but anyway).
The second, Encrypt, goes a step further and actually encrypts the information returned from a SpellCraft check using a keyword. Legend Lore in this case would probably provide you with enough information for you to have a good chance of figuring out the keyword, otherwise its down to your own investigations. Encrypt I envisage as a 4th level spell, again possibly permanent, possibly with a material component.
What do you think?
