Looking for specific wizard artwork from Dungeon or Dragon Magazine

Dragon Magazine General Discussion

I am looking for specific picture of wizard, but can't for the life of me remember where I saw it.

It was a human male wizard, presented in the middle of the frame and dressed in red robes with a high collar. I think he had one or both of his hands on an orb of some kind - Pretty smug expression.

Anyone remember what issue that was?

Thanks for your help guys!

Red wizard from forgotten realms maybe?

Thanks for the suggestion, but I am sure he was neither bald nor had tattoos. It was a fairly young wizard too, with a short beard if recall correctly.

Can you offer some context ... what was the approximate era or issue #s, or what were some articles in the issue?

It would help tremendously.

It must have been one of the more recent issues, falls most definitly in the 3.5 era. The artwork also had quite a professional, polished (subjective, of course ;)) look to it. It reminded me a bit of the art style of 4th edition.

Hah! Nevermind, think I found it, Dragon #357, picture under the spell sovereign.

Thanks anyhow.
