I was trying to make an arcane version of the Elan Race from the expanded psionics handbook for pathfinder.
I however am not very good at making conversions. Everything comes out either stupid not powerful enough, stupid too powerful, or just stupid.
So has anyone got a conversion similar for pathfinder? I was trying to design a race of arcane entities that lived off arcane magic (Meaning almost all are wizards/sorcs/and possibly Magus).
I thought maybe the ability to only need to meditate 4 hours to prepare spells and sleep, similar to the Elan's ability. Maybe some 0 level spell as an unlimited use SLA similar to the drow noble.
The one major thing I wanted to do was change the way they healed. Healing magic worked just fine on them sure, but they didn't heal naturally at all, since they replaced their life-force with arcane power. Instead whenever they cast an arcane spell they heal 1 HP for every 2 levels of the spell cast, minimum 1 HP.
What do you guys think?
