We just exchange the normal traits of a vermin, animal...or whatever the basis for your familiar was (what kind of creature is it?) and give it the undead type traits, ok?
Traits: An undead creature possesses the following traits (unless otherwise noted in a creature's entry).
* No Constitution score. Undead use their Charisma score in place of their Constitution score when calculating hit points, Fortitude saves, and any special ability that relies on Constitution(such as when calculating a breath weapon’s DC).
* Darkvision 60 feet.
* Immunity to all mind-affecting effects (charms, compulsions, morale effects, patterns, and phantasms).
* Immunity to bleed, death effects, disease, paralysis, poison, sleep effects, and stunning.
* Not subject to nonlethal damage, ability drain, or energy drain. Immune to damage to its physical ability scores (Constitution, Dexterity, and Strength), as well as to exhaustion and fatigue effects.
* Cannot heal damage on its own if it has no Intelligence score, although it can be healed. Negative energy (such as an inflict spell) can heal undead creatures. The fast healing special quality works regardless of the creature's Intelligence score.
* Immunity to any effect that requires a Fortitude save (unless the effect also works on objects or is harmless).
* Not at risk of death from massive damage, but is immediately destroyed when reduced to 0 hit points.
* Not affected by raise dead and reincarnate spells or abilities. Resurrection and true resurrection can affect undead creatures. These spells turn undead creatures back into the living creatures they were before becoming undead.
* Proficient with its natural weapons, all simple weapons, and any weapons mentioned in its entry.
* Proficient with whatever type of armor (light, medium, or heavy) it is described as wearing, as well as all lighter types. Undead not indicated as wearing armor are not proficient with armor. Undead are proficient with shields if they are proficient with any form of armor.
* Undead do not breathe, eat, or sleep.
Wait, is the bonus trait in addition to our 2 traits, or does it count as 1 of them? Thanks for choosing us, by the by. I'll get an actual alias up for Kirk in no time.
Just flagging the post so I can find it more easily later. Going to start building Dominic now. Are we rolling for starting wealth, using the average, or taking the max result (those are the most common variants I've seen)
roll for starting wealth. The life of a student can be costly (women, ale, books etc.) on the other hand, one might safe alot when using the library and so on :-) just let Fortuna decide.
I noticed you gave me the threatening defender trait, I had not considered if I was going to take combat expertise at all, I'll definitely take the trait if it is what you see fit though =)
Yeah, I hadn't noticed that rule about "1 trait of any type." Could I please request a different one so that Dominic can take "Anatomist?" (His other trait is "Skeptic" which is listed as a magic trait)
I would just like to point out that while Kirk probably seems like a straight up a-hole at the moment, he's just annoyed and feeling antisocial from the oppresive nature of the ceremonies. He's especially antisocial around people he doesn't know very well.
Don't worry, I won't be acting like a purely evil guy the whole time.
I'm surprised Victoria needs such spells at all :-)
Well, when people just wont get a hint and see everything her way, its time to resort to less mundane and more arcane methods of persuasion.
I must say, haven't played an arcane class for around 20 years, and am quite interested in the way I have put this one together - just seemed something 'different' that there was never really rules for back in the day but came possible with the APG.
Anyhow...
Languages,
I presume we don't have Common, but must instead choose Taldane, Skald, or Varisian? I have a few language slots left.
Also, is there any other 'most encountered' language kicking around that would be a likely pick of regional monsters?
I think that Taldane is considered the equivalent of common in Golarion. The Taldan and Chelaxian empires used to be ubiquitous enough that there are few places in Avistan now where it's not spoken.
Taldan is the language of the "civilised" inhabitants of viallges, towns and cities while varisian is often heard by the (no s~%~ sherlock) wandering people.
Since Karcau is surrounded by a waste of brushland, tundra and forests typical choices could be the languages of the forest dwellers (sylvan), those of ice trolls and winter wolves (I would coin that boreal) and various goblinoid tongues (goblin).
hey guys sorry i didn't post this weekend, my girlfriend and I just broke up so I spent the whole weekend moving =( Just in time for the holidays too! yay me!
