I try to avoid spamming, but I just posted up a thread with 23 blade skills for beta testing.

You can view it here. :)

I've been unable to get to your page lately without getting an error. your site will load, and suddenly it will react as if the site is completely unavailable.

What error are you getting? We're still having discussions and posts and sales going on...

And what browser are you using?

The Exchange

I've used Google Chrome, Firefox, and had my friend try it on Firefox from his computer.

The Error Message from Firefox is as follows:

Error Message:
The connection was reset

The connection to the server was reset while the page was loading.

The site could be temporarily unavailable or too busy. Try again in a few moments. If you are unable to load any pages, check your computer's network connection. If your computer or network is protected by a firewall or proxy, make sure that Firefox is permitted to access the Web.

Aaaaannnd...... now it seems to be working. Not sure what went wrong. :/

Dreamscarred Press

Well, hey, as long as it's working now...

I'm wondering if it was one of the scripts we have running - for example, google analytics runs on our pages... although I can't see why it would do that.

We're looking into a website update, although that's likely going to be months in the work because we don't want to lose customer / order data.

The Exchange

Not entirely sure what's going on. It'll pop-up now and again, when clicking links, but now I can just "fix" it with F5.

Well, i can access it again, which is the important thing. And I gotta say, I really like the dread. My friend's running From the Deep, and we started just as the Dread Alpha was announced, pre-power list. If my Soulbolt dies, I think I'll have a dread in his place.

Dreamscarred Press

FYI, sorry for not posting - but last week this problem got fixed after far too many hours scouring website source code.

And I'm hoping to have a Master the Battle preorder-exclusive preview posted this week. We hope to have all artwork for Master the Battle in this week, which will allow us to get it released as quickly as possible.

Then, we move on to the final installment: Psionics Expanded: Hidden Intentions, which will include our psionic stealth base class, as well as a variety of stealth / intrigue based options for the psionic classes!

The Exchange

Can't wait to see the stealth class. I've been looking forward to it for a while now.

Dreamscarred Press

The preorder-exclusive preview of Master the Battle has been posted in our Private Playtesting Forums.

Dreamscarred Press

Also, I feel I should mention - we've included some of the great psionic feats from Super Genius Games's The Genius Guide To: Feats of Psionic Might in Master the Battle. They were great fits for a combat-oriented supplement and SGG did a great job in coming up with a host of new psionic feats!

Dreamscarred Press

The preorder preview has been a tremendous aid in putting the finishing touches on Master the Battle.

It was noticed that the Dread class did not have any talents, so we've posted the Dread Talent list for public review.

It was also discovered that two Dread powers did not get updated from 3.5, so those have also been posted.

As a result, Master the Battle is now over 40 pages of material, making it the second largest in the series behind Unlimited Possibilities, which was 42 pages. Part of that is due to material reprinted between the two releases, but we're trying to keep that to a minimum. :) The goal is for each release to be a self-contained as possible.

I have two quick questions regarding the Armored Blade armor.

Does it have weight like standard armor?

How does it come off? Removed like armor or dismissed?

If they've already been answered, direct me to where, please.

Thanks.

Dreamscarred Press

It's treated in all ways except visually as the armor - so it would have weight. The mind blade is semi-solid, so it has weight, as well.

And it'd be dismissed... it probably needs a line like the mind blade has.

Thanks, Jeremy.

Dreamscarred Press

Alright, folks - we've posted a preview of what our new stealth class is going to look like.

Introducing The Cryptic

Thanks for that. Is there more?

Also, one more Armored Blade question.

Is the armor created always the same, much like the blade?

Dreamscarred Press

More what? on the Cryptic?

It's still being developed ;)

It'll get posted as soon as it's ready for Alpha.

And there will be lots of support material to go with it - feats, powers, etc

As for the Armored Blade: it works like the mind blade - and is reshaped like the mind blade. So yes. :)

Dreamscarred Press

Our stealth class, the cryptic is now available for play testing!

I have a question about the Light-bending Insight and was having issues posting in your forums. (I may not have been logged in properly.)

What is the duration of the insight? It reads that it ends as soon as the cryptic attacks. I hope that doesn't mean permanent. :)

Dreamscarred Press

Spiral_Ninja - your question is answered in the Alpha 2 playtest of the Cryptic. :)

Thanks, Jeremy, I saw it there. I also managed to figure out the issue (my Kindle fire wasn't logged in) and post there.

Dreamscarred Press

Awesome.

By the way, although release #6 is going to be our stealth-oriented release, because our "catch-all" release got bumped ahead because of interest (Unlimited Possibilities), it's likely that Hidden Intentions is going to have some non-stealth archetypes... just because we haven't had as much time devoted to new archetypes yet as we should...

But, that's the fun of doing one book in multiple pieces - you can't always appropriately "theme" everything unless you want to have a dozen smaller parts.

Dreamscarred Press

It's been brought up, discussed, tabled, brought up again, discussed again... well, we have an outline for a gun-based marksman archetype. Get a look at the basis of the archetype here!

Dreamscarred Press

Two new archetypes posted today:

Stealth Marksman

Guardian Psychic Warrior

As well as the Beta of the Mindbender advanced discipline.

Dreamscarred Press

1 person marked this as a favorite.

Master the Battle should be out next week - all graphics are in and layout is getting wrapped up!

Dreamscarred Press

Here are some more archetypes:

Battle Wilder

Bombardier Psion

Dual Disciple

Mindwright

Take a look at let us know what you think.

And more are on the way, including a stealth-based psychic warrior option, a healing tactician, and more!

Liberty's Edge

Little sad to see there still hasn't been a psionic version of Raise Dead so I can cut arcane/divine out of my campaign without having to invent powers on my own.

Dreamscarred Press

Between Psionic Revivify (5th level power) and Bend Reality (7th level power), I would think you'd be covered.

Liberty's Edge

Revivify only works within one round and bend reality is a bit high. I was hoping for something vitalist exclusive

Positive note cryptic looks awesome

Dreamscarred Press

Well, you can extend it by imposing more negative levels, but I get your point.

OK, so how much does the mindblade weigh?

Dreamscarred Press

Huh, looks like because we made it customizable, that "all ways except visually" from 3.5 got left out.

Light would be a short sword - 2 lbs
One-handed would be a long sword - 4 lbs
Two-handed would be a bastard sword - 8 lbs

All of the above is for a Medium-sized creature.

Sigh. Hubby's Soulknife is *not* going to be happy.

Dreamscarred Press

Sorry - but that's how it would have worked in 3.5 and it was an oversight.

"The blade is identical in all ways (except visually) to a short sword of a size appropriate for its wielder."

That's from 3.5 and is where I draw the basis for the rule.

No problem. He just thought the blade had no weight. Oh, well.

Dreamscarred Press

A bunch of new stuff has been posted in our Playtesting forum!

New Cryptic powers, new insights, wilder options, a new vitalist power, and even a power to telekinetically launch your buddies!

Stop by, take a look, and let us know what you think as we work on the final parts of Psionics Expanded!
