I am wanting to pick up a PDF reader, but specifically to read gaming materials when I deploy. I know a few months ago there was thread asking about good suggestions for products that handle Pathfinder PDFs, but I do not recall any solid answers. Does anyone know of a decent one that will read not only Pathfinder, but 3.5 books, older White Wolf stuff, and hopefully allows for preexisting PDFs (legally purchased at least) to be uploaded onto.
I could care less about pictures, borders/themes, and possibly even font.

The Nook Color looks like it should work great. Smaller then the ipad but still readable.
I am really debating on waiting for the Nook Color. Its out Nov 20th and is a little smaller, more features, has better nternet/download/processing abilities, and all that, but it also only has a 8 hour battery (I think). While the Nook has a 7 day battery (supposidely).

Well for me the real question would be reading vs. applications. If you want something that can do a ton of tricks that you can do some reading on go for one the various tablets (including the new color nook). If you want it mainly for reading the various ebook readers are much easier on the eye.
I have done more reading on my Kindle then I have with paper books since I got it just because it's easy on the eye. I've used it and the Nook (eInk version) and I didn't really noticed any big difference (eInk is eInk) and got it because I prefer the Amazon web site to other interface options. PDFs work well but are a little slow when the have a lot of pictures (maybe 2 seconds between pages). Yes this does mean the Pathfinder product PDFs.
If you are going to be in a Barnes and Nobles store location quite often check on the browse policy were you can download a ebook for 1 hours like you were getting one off the self. I don't know the details but that is how it was explained to me.
