Khalid Al Ha'zareen

I've got 10 gp on the halfling.
"Calm down, no one is going to kill you at this moment, provided of course you quit trying to cast spells at us." Khalid says, as he lowers Tempest.
"Who are you, and what in the Nine Hells are you doing out here?"
DM Dan E
I'm GM fiating a grab by Sajan at the top of the round. You can clock her in your action but shes effectively helpless at that point. A little arbitrary but this is more a spur for RP than a combat.
I've realized I've forgotten Arjun already. He follows slightly behind casting suspicious eyes on the female gnome.
Sajan Krama Sumna
Sajan fixes Grall with a firm gaze as he holds the Gnome still in his arms.
I said. Tie her. Up. he says, speaking slowly and emphasising his syllabyls- not in anger but in genuine confusion that Grall did not seem to understand him.
Nuveril
Whenever the DM gives me the cue to go...
Nuveril shakes her head and blinks her eyes emphatically as she comes out of her stupor. As soon as the world comes into focus around her again, she growls with rage, scooping up her hammer from where it fell on the floor in the same motion that she lopes toward the knot of people around her attacker. Her hammer is raised to attack, but as she penetrates the circle and Victoria comes in view, she stops short in consternation. "What is it?!?" she demands, looking at the Small, struggling figure in Sajan's arms.
I've decided Nuveril has never seen a gnome before, btw.
DM Dan E
Over to you Tanner. You have a few moments before Nuveril recovers. Please give us a description of Victoria now everyone can see her close up.
I've decided Nuveril has never seen a gnome before, btw.
Makes perfect sense to me. Gnomes aren't unknown but are pretty rare in Katapesh, particularly in the north (their main community is in the south).
Sajan Krama Sumna
CMB to pin-

Like this- observe. Sajan says as he expertly ties the prisoners hands and feet for Grall, keeping the end of the rope in his hands to control the Gnome's movement. With this done, he takes a step away and nods in deference to Khalid. I would be happy to teach you this, Grall. Nuveril- it is a Gnome; a common race but I know little about them, only one ever came to the farm.
Linah Jamil'Kaid
Linah holds out her hand to stop Sajan's demonstration. "That will not be nessecary, my friend. We have already won, the bonds are not needed at this time", she says then directs her attention to the gnome.
"I ment what i said. If you surrender you will not be harmed." The clerics tone is soft yet unwavering. "Let us start with your name. I am Linah Jamil'Kaid, a follower of the Dawnflower. What is your name?"
Sajan Krama Sumna
Sajan finishes tying the Gnome up, but as a concession to Linah does not tie them as tightly as he intended to.
Better to be safe Linah. I won't gag her, so talk away; but I must protect you all so that you may reach enlightenment- she already harmed the small one.
Nuveril
"It's not a halfling then," Nuveril registers flatly, and you're not sure if you hear disappointment or relief in her voice. "Yes, untie it, so that I can crush its skull!" She raises her hammer again.
Tanner, go ahead and post anything about Victoria you need to while Nuveril is stunned; I just don't want the post-stunning conversation to get away without her input.
Sajan Krama Sumna
"I do not want to discuss this.
Good, neither do I. Sajan interrupts, the rest of Linah's words lost on him.
I'm not trying to be obstinate but i'm also trying not to metagame because we know this is a new PC. All Sajan knows so far is this Gnome hid from them and appeared to launch some kind of ambush with a distraction; casting a spell on Nuveril. He has absolutely no idea of what shes capable of, so until the conversation progresses a little hes taking zero chances. Linah is trying to move iron here; this is the one issue Sajan will not concede to her or Khalid's demands.
Linah Jamil'Kaid
"You will do no such thing", tells Nuveril in the same calm and steady voice before turning back to Sajan. "I am sorry that i am not able to sway your mind", Linah yields with disappointment weighting heavy on her breath. The cleric then takes a seat infront of Victoria.
"I appologize that i can not convince my allies to loosen your restraint. Perhaps if we start with talking about what you are doing here we can remove the ropes. Are you willing to do that?"
Same here. It's not because it's a PC Linah wants her to be untied. She would extend the same curtesy to anyone, even Kardswann. She believes that everyone has a chance to repent and should be given that chance. Linah feels that tieing up the gnome is going make it harder to win her over.
Victoria Whitesmith
Whipping back the hood of her cloak, you see a female gnome with blue eyes and blonde hair. She has obviously been in hiding in that stable for several days; she is covered in a thick layer of dust, her clothing is stained with patches of blood and grime, and her eyes are sunken with fatigue and dehydration. She struggles under the firm grip of Sajan even as she speaks. "Please, please don't hurt me! I'll tell you anything! My name is-" The gnome's eyes tighten in fear. "My name is Felliped. I was here with a party hired to investigate the town. We were ambushed by gnolls and a demon. The rest of my party is dead and I've been hiding in that barn for days."
Bluff 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (20) + 9 = 29
She's not being truthful about her name.
Linah Jamil'Kaid
Ouch, i have no hopes on reaching that :)
"We will not hurt you as long as you are being truthful, Filliped. I am sorry to hear about your friends, i pray that the Dawnflower watches over their souls. Who hired you to investigate this place, and why have you not tried to leave when the rest of your group perished?", Linah asks Victoria. Noticing the poor state of the gnome Linah offers Victoria to drink from her waterskin (obviously helping her to drink it as well since her hands are tied).
Victoria Whitesmith
"I signed on for a single commission with Lions of Senra, an outfit out of Cheliax. The Lions had contacts with the Pathfinder Society. Some dwarf named Var Pinden in Katapesh. He wanted us to come here because there was supposed to be a great treasure left in the vaults under the church of Saranrae. I don't know what it is or why he wants it."
The gnome takes a drink of the water Linah offered. "Thank you, thank you so much. We had started with six crew. We started searching the town and we were ambushed by gnolls and a goat-demon. Three were killed, two taken, and I was able to escape. They tortured our leader, Andrus. Tied him down in the street and used... used their knives..." She rubs her eyes with the palms of her hands. "I can still hear his screaming in my mind. Why didn't they just kill him?" She is silent for a moment, then continues. Another was Oxvard. I haven't seen or heard him since."
Linah Jamil'Kaid
"We are here to rid this place of the Kuldis gnolls and restore Kelmare to the city it once was." Feeling sympathy for the gnome's plight decides that the sorceress deserves some good news. "I am sorry to hear about the fate of your companions. You can be pleased to know that we have found Oxvard. He is alive and safe at our camp, not far from here."
Sajan Krama Sumna
Killing should never be done without just cause, Nuveril. The Gnome was just afraid, and still is. Imagine how you would react to an unknown party if your tribe had been slaughtered around you? Sajan implores, although he still remains poised in case this is an elaborate trick.
Nuveril
Nuveril's weapon hand sways. In a flash, she remembers the voice of the peryton in her mind, ripping through the defenses of her battlefury and sending her into retreat. She lets the hammer fall to her side, as her gaze darts into the far corners of the room, unwilling to meet anyone's eyes. "You are right," she growls sulkily. "It is a spell-thrower, dabbling with spirits that weaken its mind and resolve. One cannot expect such a one to act as a warrior nor to die a warrior's death."
Linah Jamil'Kaid
Linah looks at Nuveril with ill hidden surprise. Up to this moment she has not seen anyone even coming close to "neutralize" the halfing. A small surge of guilt runs down the clerics spine as even that she feels bad for the small barbarian to have to relive the peryton's attack, she can't help to be impressed.
"She is not an it. She has a name, and that name is Felliped.", Linah says after regaining her composure, emphasizeing every word.
Victoria Whitesmith
The gnome locks her eyes on the halfling. "I have been through the Abyss and back for the last fortnight, dirt-eater!" Her eyes suddenly darken, the color draining until her sockets are empty, inky blackness. "I have watched my comrades butchered and tortured and eaten in front of me!" Small pinpoints of light in the center of the blackness begins to grow. "And I will not be threatened by you. You will not lay a hand on me, or so help me I will damn your soul to a place your ancestors dare not tread! Am I understood?" Soft blue flames fan from the points of light in her otherwise black eyes.
Felliped is using prestidigitation as a spell-like ability.
A spell-like ability has no verbal, somatic, or material component, nor does it require a focus.

Sajan Krama Sumna
Seeing the Gnome casting once more, Sajan does not hesitate to trip her, again.
1d20 + 7 ⇒ (15) + 7 = 22 VS DC11
STOP the giant says simply, a foot planted upon Felliped.
I think a concentration check this time would be prudent.
Nuveril
The fire reawakens in Nuveril's eyes, as the gnome renews its threatening posture. "It will stop casting at me, or we will leave it bound in the street for the gnolls to find!" she demands. "You!" she addresses 'Felliped.' "You may count yourself lucky that I will not risk corrupting the ancestral hammer of the pugwampis with your spell-addled brain matter. If you wish to take it back to Almah, that is your business," she tells the rest of them. "I will have nothing more to do with it." She withdraws angrily to the front of the inn, to keep a watch for gnoll patrols on the road outside.
Victoria Whitesmith
Concentration versus DC 17 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (17) + 7 = 24
Despite the manhandling from Sajan, the supernatural appearance of Felliped's eyes does not falter. "You had better walk away, dirt-eater, if you know what's good for you. Maybe a few whacks of that hammer will jog some sense into your thick skull!"
She turns her head to face up at Sajan. The blackness and flames suddenly disappear, leaving her original blues eyes in their place. "And you... those are some good reflexes there, big guy. Now that your homicidal friend is cooling off, mind letting me up?"
Linah Jamil'Kaid
"Enough of this!", Linah demands as she steps inbetween Victoria and Nuveril. "If you do not wish to be treated as an adversary then do not act like one. I sympathize with your situation, Felliped, but we will not tolerate threats against us. Is that understood?"
Victoria Whitesmith
The gnome lets out a titter. "If I could damn her soul, do you really think that gnolls would have me scared witless and hiding in a stable? Your companion was seriously requesting to be allowed to smash in my head. Frankly, for all of your kindness, I'm surprised you even share company with that halfling. Now, if you don't mind, I'm pretty sure I can stop with the threats if people stop threatening me first."
Grall
Grall laughs heartily at the situation of the little ones threatening each other, it seem quite ridiculous to him.
Maybe we should let them fight it out, it is rrrarrre to see such sporrrt, even in the arrrenas?
Do we brrring he along? We don't have the time to babysit a captive.
He gets within inches of the Gnome, So little one would you like to get rrrevenge on the ones that did this to you? We will soon attack the Gnolls head on and we plan to kill Karrrdswan!
Sajan Krama Sumna
so I'm ready to go whenever this son-of-an-ogre here takes his foot off my chest."
This son of Ogre contemplates whether it would be easier to stuff both of the small ones into a sack to carry around over his shoulder... Sajan says with a wry grin, moving his foot.
As for the other small one... Sajan continues, addressing Felliped, your words and actions showed a lack of wisdom. I had just defused her short temper when you then fueled the flames. I am thinking you will have much trouble from her.
Linah Jamil'Kaid
"I do not care if you can make good on your threats or not, they will not be tolerated either way. Neither will i care if you feel that they where spurred by Nuveril. Time is running short and i have had enough of this. If we are to move against the Kuldis together we can not afford to fight among ourselves. Is that understood?"
Linah Jamil'Kaid
Satisfied that she made her point Linah goes to search for Nuveril (unless she gets a defiant anwser).
"How are you feeling?", Linah starts then bites her tongue as she realises that Nuveril is unlikely to respond to this atempt of building trust. The cleric hesitates as she realises that she does not know how and even if she will be able to talk Nuveril into accepting Veronica's presence but she will have to try. She swallows and hopes that she has not missed her chance and continues. "I am sorry for what transpired in there. We have made it clear to Felliped that further agression from her will not be tolerated. We are however in the midst of striking our final blow against the evil that has set root among these ruins. She has powers that will become useful against the Kuldis. I want to know if you are willing to fight alongside Felliped."
Nuveril
Arjun AKA DM Dan E
I remember Oxvard mentioned a Felliped in his ramblings.
The alchemist removes a few strips of vulture jerky from his pouch and hands them carefuly to the obviously hungy looking gnome.
Should we continue or return to the monastery and verify that she is who she says?
I mean no offence, he says apologetically to the gnome.
