So my PCs just hit the briars outside of Thistletop in Burnt Offerings. I was unable to field a mini for Tangletooth, because I couldn't figure out how to paint her coat.
The best I could figure, she looks like a leopard with tiger markings tending toward a darker orange and black. But I couldn't quite escape the idea that maybe the red in her coat was actually a crimson. I couldn't find a picture of a firepelt anywhere.
So while I had a primed mini of Droogami from the Pathfinder minis line ready to paint(and actually based in red), I bailed on going any further.
Tangletooth was played by a small d6. A ferocious pouncing d6, but a d6 nonetheless.
Anybody know for sure what a firepelt looks like?

Well, I did some searching around on the 'Net, and as far as I can tell the "firepelt" is unique to that adventure.
Bear in mind, I don't play in the Golarion campaign setting.
But I would say that if there were no pictures in the Adventure Path, you can probably use your imagination.
As for what shade of red, I would go with the darker red-orange tones in this cat's markings. It's vibrant but still a coloration that looks like feline fur.
I hope you find more useful information than this!

I don't have the books with me, but as memory serves it is described in either the Pathfinder Campaign Setting book under the fauna section or in the player's guide for The Rise of the Rune Lords AP.

I agree it's in a few places IIRC. ROTRL players guide, the campaign setting, AP2 in the Varisia article and maybe in the Cinterlands article... I'll check when I get home
