Mostly, I have to yell at myself now when things get behind schedule.
Hyrum has been huge part of SGG, and we wouldn't exist as a company without him. But we've known this is coming for a while, and have taken steps to be ready for it. We can't "replace" Hyrum (our loss really is Paizo's gain), but overall I still think this is going to be a good thing for us. Our main sales are, obviously, tied strongly to the Pathfinder market. If Hyrum expands Paizo's market, he's also expanding our potential market. And I know just how well Hyrum does that job.
We've added one (and may add another) beta reader for proofreading, to help make sure the increased load on Stan! and me doesn't result in reduced quality. We're talking to potential interns. We have more freelancers contacting us with projects (I have two drafts in the pipeline right now, and two more being written, all by names some of you will recognize). And we have built ourselves a cushion of finished products to fill in any gaps that appear.
SGG remains a viable, growing company, with ongoing plans for the future. And we wish Hyrum absolutely nothing but the best, and heartily commend Paizo for showing great wisdom by hiring him.
