Malakiah holds the wand of command undead in hands.

"I hope this time it works", he pondered.


The party pulls aside the sarcophagus. The stone coffin holds an extraordinarily well-preserved human man with dark hair, a high forehead, and expressive brows. He wears robes of a deep emerald, and a medallion of a seven-pointed star around his neck.

Upon opening, you see a small size snake, seemingly made of metal, pop out its head and attack!

Monster Knowledge

Knowledge (Arcana) DC 12:
This is an iron cobra! It is a construct, and has DR that cannot be bypassed by any mundane means (DR 5/-). It has construct traits, and has spell resistance as well.

Knowledge (Arcana) DC 17:
Its bite usually administers Black Adder Venom, which does Con damage. Since it doesn't produce poison naturally, it can only administer the poison 3 times before having to be refilled with poison.

Its lowest two saves are Fort and Will.

Thessaly curses some more as the snake sinks its fangs into her hand, but her grip remains sure all the same even as a trickle of blood wells on her fingers.

"That the best you got? I've had alcohol poisoning worse than that," she growls.

"Right, this is a stupid fight," she says shortly. "'m not gonna keep hammering on a thing made outta steel. Blunts up my damn glaive."

(As per grapple: using the 'move' option to hold it over the pit. It's entitled to a chance to break the grapple at an additional +4, vs my CMB of 17. Otherwise... ducky go down the hole!)

Looking inside the sarcophagus from the room the cobra came from, you see there is a nice looking medallion hanging on a leather cord, a silver disc inscribed with a seven-pointed star. The corpse also has very nice looking bracers.

This medallion hangs on a leather cord, a silver disc inscribed with a seven-pointed star. A door emblazoned with a strange seven-pointed star stands in the back of this alcove. It is a Sihedron Rune, the symbol representing the seven schools of Thassilonian magic.

Lots of choices for where to go. All doors here are just normal single or double doors except for that Sihedron Door, and the places covered up are unexplored areas.
