Still can't find the right mini...

...for my PFS character...

Akori is from Orision, he is a tall sorceror, so should wear robes, and carry a staff at most.

My vision of him is basically the bad guy from The Mummy - High Priest Imhotep.

Please help!

Let's see... Reaper has Lamann the Sorcerer, although his robes may be more voluminous than you prefer. Eredain the Mage has a very different look, but his polearm could be easily modified to serve as a staff.

Crocodile Games has some figures that should be right up your alley. There are several promising priests in their Wargods of Aegyptus line, including an impressive Priest of Aten.

Tell everyone that your sorcerer has been working out.

Similar to the Priest of Aten, you've got Strohm who I've used as an Al-Qadim-inspired wizard to good effect.

Then there's Kothmar (the ankh is a nice touch) the Inquisitor and, if you can still find one, the Mordheim Warlock who has a cute little frog riding on his shoulder, which could signify he's about to unleash ten plagues upon you.

Lamann, Sorcerer (I guess wulf already got it)

Kazumi, Male Monk

Thaddeus Graytower, Wizard

Thanks Guys, Lamann, or the one from Croc games are pretty much the closest. It's getting a young, bald, athletic male that's the problem I think....

Here are a couple more (just did a search for "human male bald" at Reaper):

Young, bald, athletic, rod

Oh no, not one of those icky Pathfinder line minis! (If you have the tools, saw off the sword, drill a hole in his hand where the sword was, and stick a toothpick in for the staff)

Ohhh, they are both good. Sajan I had dismissed as too Monkish the first time I looked. That said, the angles on that particular photo make it look like a conversion to a staff that is in both hands wouldn't be too hard...

Hmmm, ideas ideas.....

Thanks again!

I could use some help on this. My PFS character is a 'Xianese' female Paladin specialized in the use of her Glaive/Naginata. I've looked at some of the L5R stuff but most of the ones I would want are out of production.

Any ideas?

There is a gorgeous Wyrd figure that may suit here

Not quite (I agree it's gorgeous). I want more of an armored Samurai-ko feel. I'll hold out for just a little while longer.

I found a few on ebay i typed "reaper legend five rings" and got a few including a female samurai dual sword wielding though.she wasnt too expensive

Maybe this gal with a glaive glued into her hands from this weapon pack (or a similar one)?

All L5R minis are out of print, unfortunately. but as noted you might have some luck finding one somewhere.

Well, that's a bit annoying :(

I am assuming you are looking for that fully armoured, laminated plate look??

I am currently at work and have tried the obvious suspects (found heaps of male samurai), I will have a better hunt around on my home computer, where all my miniature favourites live.

look on ebay for "clan war legendary heros of the lion the fig in the middle is female and using the naginata

I have had a look around and found a female figure with a katana that looks like it should be fairly easy to swap out. It is an old grenadier figure and I found one here for a very good price. I personally have a perfect figure from the old Ral Partha line, but I couldn't find it for you.

EDIT: on a hunch I looked for the Clan Wars minis. They have just been released by Valiant minis and the entire list can be found here

Hopefully valiant releases all of the series. so far there are some that aren't on that sight yet.the figure i saw was from this set the one in the middle doesn't look very female but here is a nicely painted one, not by me, but it fits the bill

Thanks a lot, I have a lot to look at now. Right now, my favorite is something like http://www.reapermini.com/Miniatures/mage/price/04422]this with a less 'magey' feel.

All the Best,

Kerney
