Kristophe also enters the room, wondering what he has gotten himself into. Still it seemed safer to join...no telling what might have happened to him if they didn't believe his story.

"Could you pass the butter please"? he asks of the person sitting next to him.

Male Human Vanguard

Here you go.

Kyth says as he reaches out with his right hand and grips Fury(aka elven curve blade) at his hip with his left hand and casts mage hand pulls the butter plate towards him then passes it to Kristophe.

She smiles a good morning to Galrian, and nods at Asasha as well. In a move very unlike her, she realizes it is time to reconnect again with her. She seats down next to the young lady, and says, "I am pleased to see you have done well."

Asasha smiles and in the pause between mouthfulls of egg and bacon sandwiched between two slices of bread replies "mmmph, well me and Kat, you know, we've been seeing the world, getting in to trouble - having fun generally really." she takes another large mouthfull, chews and swallows, "what about you? - nice looking man you seem to have found for yourself." Asasha finishes, nudging Shol'a'saul and nodding at Galrian.

Shol'a'saul looks back at Asasha, and stares at her for a long moment, trying to determine what she meant. Does she think Galrian is my…husband…of course not! I feel comfortable with him, he is a good friend, but is it love? I am not sure…

She replies to Asasha, ”Galrian is a good man, and I do like him.” She seems unaware Galrian is sitting right next to her.

Male

In his thoughs Galrian try to listen talking between the dwarf and Vanya if they are speaking and just nod to Shol´a´Saul comment and say without thinking Yes, I like you too. You are a beautiful woman and continues eating but after a while start to think again what he had said but can´t really catch now it um... hm... yes... hm, We have known each other for a really long time now. About twenty years ago if I remember correctly. She hasn´t aged at all and still looking good as ever

Nodding now in agreement to his own comment, he smiles to Shol´a´Saul and then continues to Asasha What about you? Young girl adventuring and going around with a man? Lover perhaps? If there is any problems, you can turn to me. I am always ready to help and who is the best one to ask advice than a cleric of Shelyn, hmm? and now looks at Asasha, head little bit tilted left and judging her appearance

At this Asasha chokes noisily on her food, sending crumbs of toast flying. "Who? Kat?" she says after she recovers. "NO! Kat is... like my brother,.. that would be errrgh... "

Zariah has great difficulty stifling the giggle that erupts after Asasha's reaction.

Male

Oooh... I am truly sorry, I didn´t know. You two don´t resemble so much each other, so I didn´t even think about this possibiity Galrian apologize honestly

He start again to ponder and watchse now more closely other people Yesterday I was quite tired after long a trip plus meeting Shol´a´Saul after so many years made me little bit emotional. Also old geezer as I am already gives smile and shrugs I am not anymore able to keep up with younger ones to so late and getting tired more easily. Tending to forgot that there is still life outside and beauties along that

Galrian looks from his eye of corners at Zariah and smiles and assuming that all 3 of you know each other? I can´t seem to find so much Cheliaz characteristics from the face... so varisian background or? That harrowed desk, which your brother has is good lead at start.

Don't be shy Asasha tell them the truth. We've been in love for years now. We ran away together but got home sick so we came back looking to find a little love nest. Go ahead Asasha tell 'em.

The Great Katallin begins laughing uproariously finally having a chance to poke a little fun back at Asasha.

But seriously, yes we are like family the three of us. We have watched each others backs for many years on these streets until my brother and I had to go off in search for our father. I ran into Asasha in port one day and haven't been able to get rid of her since. The Great Katallin says with a gentle smile.

Male Human Summoner 1

Apologies for my late posting - had something important come up and had to leave town.

Ezekiel managed to keep himself fed, at the very least. He smiled at how the group seemed to be tied to each other in subtle manners at the very least. However, all the talk of love and so forth allowed him time to glance upon his 'lover' - whose very presence he still questioned, for it was never the same.

As if she were completely submissive, he thought to himself, leaning towards her to kiss her firmly before resuming his meal. He kept mostly to himself, for he still wondered why he of all people were to be chosen.

Kyth sat at the table and began to pile the food in front of him, after all you never know when all you will have to live on is trail rations.

So do you have any work for us Vanya, and who is the dwarf? Diabinthe will be down soon she is meditating for the moment. Kyth says before digging into his plate of food.

"This is Kagain. He owns the place. Also, he is one of us. He will serve as Society's provisional head, since he will run this inn and stay in the city. The rest of us need to take care of bigger threats."

Dark Archive

Vanya passes a pin to each of you. All pins are identical, made of gold and shaped like a little hourglass. "Don't loose them. This will be our way to track you", he says. "Now, I suppose you are ready for your first assignment?" He grabs a mug of milk and drinks deeply before continuing. "Well, there is no glory here, just work. It seems that the sewers beneath the city are filled with rats. And not just common ones. There were sightings of huge rats, taking away children from their cribs. Now, babies are not usual rat food. Something is happening here that I don't like, but I really don't have the time to deal with it now. My Grandmother is coming and I must prepare for that." He drinks again. "You are to go to the castle and seek Seneschal's assistant, young woman named Aliria. She will give you the key to the sewers and whatever you need in terms of equipment. Now, I want this handled quietly. I don't need another city-wide panic attack. Whatever this is, it is not just another rat infestation.

Male

Galrian will stretch his hand forward palm up and wait for the pin to be put on his hand.

He will bend his hand back and look at the pin for a while until neatly places it on his collar. Getting up and looking at Vanya "Even while I was a child, the sewers were a problem and especially when othyugh occassionally came out, specially big ones. Now this... indeed. Situation in here Korvosa has gone bad and there is still much to be done. Working behind curtains seems to be only way to do it but aren´t we all somekind backstage characters in our lives"

While he finishes, he turns and picks up his glaive and gives a short prayer to Shelyn "May your grace us touch, may the beauty be spread everywhere, asking do not I so much, because at last I am here"

He turns towards others and speak with condidence like someone who is determined strongly "It is time to help those who can´t help themself. My duty is to spread good, love, righteouness and beauty. These abominations defile this and we can´t afford this"

Shol'A'Saul accepts the pin without comment and returns to her seat, the words uttered by Galrian washing over her without impact. Is this my destiny...I...do not know. Yet I must follow this path, and see where it leads. Her hand unconsciously touches Galrian's hand as she thinks of this.

Lem wanders into the room, his hair stuck up at all angles and his eyes bloodshot and red. As he sits down there is a sharp tinkle of broken glass and he stands again quickly, reaching into a back pocket and pulling out a handful of glass shards and white crystalline powder.
He mutters to himself as he brushes the remains of the vial into his pack."Wondered where that went. Ah well, needed to get some new vials anyhow."
He collects some toast and bacon and begins constructing an infeasibly large bacon sandwich, periodically reaching into his pack or coat to sprinkle the contents of various small vials on the food until finally topping the huge creation with another slice of toast and using a hard backed notebook to squash the whole lot as flat as possible. While constructing his breakfast Lem slips a few slices of bacon inside his coat and their disappearance each time is followed by a muffled exclamation of appreciation and some crunching.
He then sits quietly chewing on his creation and listening to the conversation around him, grinning behind his hand at Asasha's outburst and realising quite how many of the group have prior relations.
Lem takes one of the pins and tucks it into one of the many pockets on the inside of this coat before finishing the last of his sandwich.

Male 1/2 elf Rogue 1

Kristophe takes his pin without much comment. After sitting for a while he finally asks, "Who was my pin intended for anyway...he was dead when I found him"?

Diabinthe and Ludi get a whiff of the food downstairs and meditation is completely broken. They look at each other for one moment, then race each other down the stairs for food. Diabinthe spots Kyth and plops down in the chair beside him. Ludi sits on the floor next to her with her head in her lap waiting to share any food. Ludi knew that Diabinthe would always give her half of her meal.
"So did I miss anything? Whats going on? Is the food any good"
she asks Kyth with excitement. Suddenly Diabinthe notices everyone around her and grows curious.
"Hello all! Sorry for my rude behavior, hunger got the best of me..."
After saying that she grows quiet again.

Female Elf (Forlorn) Witch 1; 6/6 hp; AC: 12, (Touch 12, FF 10); F +1, R +2, W +3, Perc +3/+5 Init +2

Shol'a'Saul stops staring off into the distance as Diabinthe makes her entrance. She glances over at the young druidess, and starts to return to her private thoughts...then she jerks a little and then glances over at a spot on her arm, currently hidden by her dress, and stares at her, with a directness and boldness in her dark eyes.

"You are a druid, are you not?"

Male Human Vanguard

The foods not bad, we also got a pin to prove we are part of the hourglass society.

Kyth says after giving her a quick kiss then showing her the pin on his collar.

Also we have our first mission apparently we are hunting R.O.U.S in the sewers. I hate the sewers ever since you took us down there to look for alligators and my father found us and had us clean the entire dojo.

He looks up as Shol speaks to Dia.

Of course she's a druid, why?

Shol’a’saul wrote:

Diabinthe looks up and spots where the voice was coming from."Yes, sure am! Tree-hugger at your service. Pleasure to meet you, my name is Diabinthe. May I have the pleasure of your name in return?"

Eyes wide with a little excitement trying not to shove food in her mouth while holding the conversation.
Of course she's a druid, why?

Looks down at pendant with curiosity and then looks back up at Kyth all the while slipping food over to Ludi who waits impatiently.

"Hourglass? I wonder why they chose that as their symbol?"
She pauses for a second realizing what Kyth said about the rats and then swats him on the arm.
"I just wanted to see the alligators! SORRY IF THE "RATS" BOTHERED YOU SO MUCH!"
Scowls then quickly sticks out tongue hoping no one notices, trying to preserve dignity.

Eyes wide with a little excitement trying not to shove food in her mouth while holding the conversation.

Shol'a'Saul pauses, trying to follow the responses from both the famished druidess and her husband. Husband? so they are joined together with bonds of...love?"

"I am Shol'a'Saul, formerly a member of the Korvosan Covey and now a member of the Hourglass Society." Her voice is still unsure, and trails off at the end.

In response to the husband, she turns a stare on him, and softly replies, "Druids and elves have always shared a common bond, it is good to see others venerate nature as we do."

Hearing this, Diabinthe has a smile appear on her face. She hopes that she may have found a new friend. Unsure she tries to test the waters.
"Shol'a'Saul, I like the sound of your name. Very unique."
pauses for a moment and studies Shol'a'Saul's face.
"Covey eh? I've heard of them before, just never knew what they were all about."
Leans forward a little hoping maybe she will reveal a little of herself. She spiked Diabinthes interest. She wants to know more without prying. So Diabinthe will leave the story telling to Shol'a'Saul. Diabinthe turns back around to Ludi who just nudged her for another bite to eat then leaned on Kyth.

Kyth stays quiet during the exchange between Diabinthe and Shol putting his arm around Diabinthe when she leans against him.

Being held Diabinthe starts to relax and become more at ease. New situations get her riled up but Kyth has a way of bringing her back to earth and calming her nerves. No one else could ever master that.

Female Elf (Forlorn) Witch 1; 6/6 hp; AC: 12, (Touch 12, FF 10); F +1, R +2, W +3, Perc +3/+5 Init +2

Shol'a'Saul watches the couple show their affection for each other by their physical contact, and she is struck by how Galrian used to do that to her all those years ago, and indeed he still does. Would that he had never left me...

She then realizes Diabinthe had asked her a question, her rapid fire speech was very hard to follow, but she did eventually get the gist of it. "The Covey has dedicated itself the the care of those in Korvosa too poor to afford the costs of having priests use their priestly powers for healing. I have studied herbal lore and worked many hours taking care of those who have needed my services." Her gaze involuntarily wanders over to Asasha as she finishes her statement.

Zariah accepts the pin quietly observing the others speaking as she pins the hourglass at the neck of her cloak.

"It will be an honor to help protect this city," she looks over at Asasha and Katallin.

"Want to take bets on how much trouble we can get into underground?", she murmurs.

Male Human Fighter 1 35xp

The Great Katallin receives the pin and places it on his collar.

No more trouble then when Asasha wanted a "peek" at the inside of that nobles house. Thought for sure they were going to cut my hand off for being a thief. The Great Katallin laughs, amused by the thoughts of the good old days.

I must be crazy for it seems I miss those times. Not nearly as much trouble you can get into on a ship. Though I think Asasha found every way. Like the time she filled my brothers locker with rats, who could have thought you could catch so many out at sea? Hey that might come in handy today. Though those were regular sized rats.

Female Human Oracle (Flame) 1

"Unfortunately i don't think that'll work." says Asasha, laughing at the memory. "I caught those rats by using some of Cook's 'hot-pot surprise'... The rats ate that stuff and then got really sick and slow, one of them turned green! Made them easy to catch though." Asasha thinks for a moment.. Maybe some poison or something might be handy in the sewers? Just how tough can a few rats be anyway?"

Male

Well, I guess that would work as well. Just to see first what we are being provided and of course some kind of map of sewers would be nice. I don´t want to rush down there... since it´s quite old place. Better to be cautious than fool Galrian states while fastening glaive on his back.

So, everyone ready that we can get going? and as he steps towards door, he briefly touches Shol´a´Saul´s shoulder.

That's nice those born in the lower quarters will probably go their entire lives without ever seeing a priest of any kind most of them are corrupt anyway only caring for their own wants and needs and tacking religion onto it only deepens the control that they are able to levy.

Kyth replies with some anger at the thought of using peoples beliefs as a way of control.

Current company excluded of course. He says indicating Galrian and Katallin.

Excuse me but I am curious as one swordsman to another but where did you learn to fight? Kyth asks of Katallin as he looks at the falchion that he carries. With the pin handed out to him, Zeke places it firmly on his robes, to the upper left. He gives a smile, and bows his head in thanks.

As he listens in to the rest of the group talk and so forth, he cannot think of much else to say. He does, however, relax for once in a while, and finishes his meal without more to say.

His 'partner' continues to stare at him, almost machinelike, and seems very infatuated. It's all she does, as if she waits for a command to usher forth from his mouth. He, though, acts as though he verily knows this, but continues on.

Rasha, Paladin of Desna tempered my skill, teaching me the basics of weaponry and armor. Then fighting pirates at sea has honed them to what they are today. Alone and outnumbered the Great Katallin has bested three marauding pirates at once. A spar sounds like fun, once our business is done of coarse.

Sounds like an interesting combination started with a paladin and finished with pirates. What do you say to a wager who ever takes out the most R.O.U.S.s owes the other 2 gold pieces. Kyth says with a grin as he sticks his hand out to Katallin.

That sounds like a good idea to me. I'm ok with people but I assume that their are others who are better, so I'd like to go to the castle for supplies unless no one else wants to converse with grieving families. Kyth says as he cjecks his weapons making sure everything is in easy access.

Hopefully my Princess bride comments haven't gone unnoticed also Kyth just enjoys friendly competition not actually trying to start a rivalry or anything, part of being raised by a swords master.

Kagain looks at you with respect in his eyes. "Aye, lad", he says. "There are witnesses aplenty. Most of them are in the Castle's dungeons or in the Morgue. Look for the Sargent Milunka. She is in charge of new Sable Company. Tell the little Tiefling I sad hello."

The dungeons? Well I guess that makes the job easier now we still just need to go to the castle. Kyth says with a shrug as he heads towards the door. "Well who's going to talk to the witnesses and who's going to get equipment."

"Well I'm not the best in the world at talking to people, but I guess I'll go speak with the witnesses, since it was my idea". "I'd appreciate it if somebody with a way with words would go with me however".
