History:
Diabinthe as a child was raised on a slaughter-free farm by her mother and father. She has one sister that she loves very dearly. Her family members became druids who took on the life of farming as a means to be close to nature. Diabinthe always had a strange closeness to nature, especially animals. She would often talk to her pets and sometimes even wonder what it would be like to interact with other humans on a personal level. As a child she was attacked by a bear one day while walking around in the woods, that was when she encountered a wolf spirit who spooked the bear away. Since then she sometimes could see that wolf spirit when she needed him most. When she was ten, while walking in the woods, she found a young wolf pup in a pile of leaves. It was then she understood that she owed it to the baby wolf. For it spared her life, now she must spare his. She brought it home, and told her parents. When her parents learned of this, they saw it as an omen and took on the path of being a druid. On their farm they grew food and medicines which they sold in town. Diabinthe would go with her family to sell their goods in the market place and would often be fascinated by the people she saw, especially those who were warriors. She always wanted to learn how to fight, simply because she saw it as an art form. One day, on her way home with her father after closing down their stand for the day, a group of thugs came and robbed them of their profit of the day. They had snuck up behind her father and started beating him. Well they assumed that Diabinthe being a young woman wouldn’t harm them. WRONG! She grabbed her scythe that she used to harvest and began lashing wildly at the thugs. Five minutes later, after the cloud of screams and a scythe whisking in the air, the thugs ran off for their lives. Her father being proud of her saw not only her bravery, but her potential. He decided that was when he needed to pay a visit to his old friend, Baden. Baden was a friend he had for years. He would often provide Baden with different medicines and the pick of the crop. Her father became extremely close to Baden when he was challenged in life with the loss of his wife. It was Diabinthes father, Marn who took the time and effort to try to heal Badens wife. Unfortunately she died from blood loss when giving birth. Baden saw Marn from that day on as a brother. Although he tried and didn’t succeed, he saw the efforts Marn went through to save her. Baden gladly accepted Diabinthe into his class and began teaching her immediately. It was then she met the boy that brought their families together. His name was Kyth. She met him on the first day of training, before class began. He was watching her, and all of a sudden started to “practice” in front of her. Well much to his delight and Diabinthes humor, he slipped and fell. She helped him up giggling and they hit it off since. One horrible night, Kyth’s compound was on fire and his father was killed. She was able to save his life by dragging him out. Only moments earlier, they were talking about a spell Diabinthes grandmother would use and then ambushed. Years passed and she grew closer to Kyth. Her fighting got better and her skill well worked. Kyth and Diabinthe traveled to different places, and returned one day as husband and wife.
